Welcome to Vapor Talk! You'll love vaping, no doubt.

I vaped in the airport in Dallas, TX, Charlotte, NC and Charleston, WV. I try to be discrete though. Also vaped on the plane, also discretely. Last two flights I was in the last row and vaped away. Welcome to Vapor Talk!

Deep end? What's that? This makes no sense to me. Nothing wrong with have 70+ attys, two eGo kits, 10 or so mods, tons of batteries (18650s, RCR123As, 14500), a plethora of drip tips and a two year supply of nic. Nope, nothing wrong with that at all.

If you got it from cigeasy, it's probably for KR808D-1 cartomizers. Do you know what kind of cartomizers you have? If you know what kind you have, you can probably get an adapter. I'm assuming you have 510 cartomizers, so you'd need a 901/KR808 to 510 adapter. You can get adapters from Goodprophets.com for $0.99. http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=89&categoryId=38

You're right about that. After a few months you won't even think about most of this, you just do what needs to be done. It really will become second nature.

The butterflies probably did it. LOL! Sorry for the dead attt - moment of silence....

I'm vaping at 5 volts and use cartomizers when driving. Generally, after vaping on a carto for an hour I take it off and put the cover back on the battery end. Remove the cap and add about 10 drops. All depends on how much you vape, but I would say top it off every couple of hours or so. My early experience early on was that once you taste the burning fiber, the carto is ruined since the filler is now exposed to the coil and it will keep melting it. That's why I'm careful not to vape it dry.

Quite welcome. Hope it keeps working for you. And now you know - always have backups! LOL!

When are you expecting some new attys? Sometimes you just get a dud. It happened to me with my first starter kit and it was frustrating as heck.
-
Are you sure you're getting a good connection with the battery? Before washing, I'd try to clean the battery and atty connector with a qtip or a paper towel. Don't know any way to dry it quickly unless you have an air compressor. Blow out as much of the water as you can. Maybe use a hair dryer to dry it???

Those PTs have always been hit and miss with how long they last. I've heard of them lasting a very long time, and I've heard of them lasting only a couple of weeks. Anyhow, you'll ike the 5V experience.

Are the other juices thicker? Carts often tend to trap the juice in the cart, which is why you have to top it off so often. If you're using thick juice (VG), then most of the juice is probably sticking in the cart. Dripping takes some time to learn, but it's worth the effort. When you say it's flooded - are you hearing a gurgling sound? Usually, after blowing it out, you'll need 4 -6 dorps to get it going. That will only give you a couple of hits, then 2-3 drops from then on will give you 5-7 hits. And like Jeff said - we've ALL been there and understand the frustration.

After Buying Several Different Kinds Of Juice, Now I Ask Questions!
Brian replied to Sharon's topic in New Vapers Forum
Oh - not aware of any health differences. I have noticed that if I go 100% PG for a while, and then start vaping something with VG I'll get a sore throat (just for a little while). However, as long as I keep vaping it, I don't have any problems. It's only an issue if I stop using it for a while. I actually like having juice that's about 20-30% VG. Some vendors use a 50/50 mix, and some allow you to choose what % of PG/VG you want. -

The thin eliquids are most likely PG based and the thick ones are VG based. PG tends to give a strong throat hit. VG has a smoother throat hit and produces more vapor. I hear that VG does not work that well in cartos... it's so thick that it doesn't wick well and get to the coil. -
It may have not dried enough. After you rinse them out, you may want to blow through it to get as much water out as you can, then let it dry over night.
-
According to their site, it's fully compatible with the KR808D-1. I posted some links in your intro thread for a few vendors (cigeasy being one of them). Not sure about VG though.

Cartomizers need to be kept wet. If you vape it dry the coil will burn through the protective wrapping and start burning the fiber. It's not any primer you're tasting in a cartomizer, it' burning filler.

I don't understand all the technical stuff, but I believe you can ruin a regular 510 battery if you use an LR atty on them. The just don't have enough mah to run it.
-
The attomizer was DOA? Nevermind - just found your other post.
-
I don't dewick unless I start having problems, but usually by then the atty is near the end of it's life anyhow.

Here's a chart WillBlack posted. Should give you a pretty good idea of how the voltage drops.
-
A freshly charged battery will be 4.2 volts. As you use it, the voltage will drop down to 2.2 volts (or whatever that cut-off point if for the protection circuit). There are some graphs around here somewhere showing the drop-off of batteries. What you're experiencing is normal, but I would think you'd get more than 8 hours from a 3000 mah battery.
-
Thesafecig looks like an RN4081. Vaporkings sells attomizers, carts and cartomizers for the RN4081. VaporKings Are you using an attomizer and cartridges, or a single piece cartomizer?
-
Huh? I thought according the chart it was not. I didn't think the KR808D-1 and KR808D-2 were the same. I've never actually seen a KR808D2 anywhere. The KR808D-1 is listed under the 901 series.
