Welcome to Vapor Talk! Definitely go with the eGo. It has great battery life and the 510 attomizer delivers a nice punch. However, keep in mind that throat hit is mostly a factor of the nicotine level in the eliquid. The lower the nic level, the less throat hit you'll get. I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and now vape 24mg. For a pack a day smoker I would suggest 18-24mg. The eGo has become quite versatile now with lots of options if you want to try something different down the road (Low Resistance attomizers, the new Tank attomizer, etc).

They're lucky it shipped at all with the Chinese New Year. I believe China is pretty much shut down until Feb 7.

This sounds very strange. Can you get the order info and contact them yourself? I've never ordered from LF, but have never heard anything bad about them. As far as I know, they do ship from the US using priority mail. And they are still showing plenty of eGos in stock.

For the first 4 days I vaped in the evenings after work (the learning curve) and smoked during the day. I got my ecig on a Tuesday and had my last analog that Saturday morning. However, one of the guys I converted took a few months to totally make the switch. Cutting back from a pack to just a few a day is a great success.

Since you already have an eGo, you may want to try the new Tank attomizer for the eGo.

I believe with the Mega (or Jumbo) attomizers you do not use the cone. The only difference in the attomizers is the shape... one is cone shaped and one is cylindrical.

Most attys will come with a cart attached.

Hard to say, but to me it sounds like the charger is bad. I have 6 of those same batteries and never had any problems with them. I looked at avidvapor - did you get the WF-188 charger? Make sure the batteries are making a good connection at the contact points. Also, is it set on 3.7V?

Flooding isn't the problem them. If it's not heating up at all, then it's the atty. Do you have a multi meter? You can check the ohms of the atty to see if it's bad.

Once the cap comes off, it doesn't go back on. I use a drip tip also.

You can also just flow it out. I hold a paper towel over the battery end and blow through the open end. Give it a few good blows, wipe off the battery end and you're good to go. That will get most of it out fast. After that, you can still use the paper towel as mentioned above to absorb out some more.

What I've found is that if it don't crackle, it's not working very good.

I believe glycerin/glycerol is VG. If it very thick it's probably VG. PG will be thinner. (not sure if that's what you were asking)

It's all a matter of preference. DIYFlavorShack uses loranns and they have quite a following. FreedomSmokeUSA uses FlavorArt and they also have quite a following. You just have to find what you like. You may like some flavors in one brand and other flavors better in another brand. I like TPA (The Perfumer's Apprentice), but I've seen several reviews where people completely trashed them.

You can buy some 24mg Midnight and mix it 50/50 to get 12mg. Since you like the flavor, this is probably the best option. Or, you can buy some nic and add it to the eliquid, but that will dilute the taste. You can get some 48mg nic and mix it 1 part nic to 2 part eliqid to get 16mg. Using 36mg nic mixed 1 part nic to 2 part eliquid would give you 12mg. In both cases you're using 33% unflavored nic, so that's going to reduce the flavor quite a bit.

I didn't try to take any mods, just my eGo. I put them in my computer bag to go through security and didn't have any issues, not even a question. All eliquid was in my quart ziploc bag and it went right though also.

Haven't heard much about the Hello16. The original eGo was developed by Janty and manufactured by Joyetech. There are now many "copy cat" eGo and similar models made by other manufactures. Joye seem to be known for the best quality, although there are fans for all models.

Yes, once I started vaping at 5 volts, there's was no going back. Same with LR atty I suppose.

Usually after you start vaping your lungs will start to clear out and you'll develop a productive cough. Oddly, I never did get the cough. It should go away in a few days. Or, you could be getting a cold or something.
