  1. You'll need PG and/or VG (you can get it at MFS also), some empty bottles (<$1 each) and some pipettes (very cheap). If you're doing larger batches, some beakers and larger syringes would be helpful. I got some 100mg when I started, but mixed it all down at once, so I got some 250ml bottles. After that, I just started buying 48mg. It was so much easier since I vape 24mg.
  2. Not doing much DIY any more, but I use to get nic from myfreedomsmokes.com. I've heard good things about these also: http://www.rtsvapes.com/ http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=common/home (RTSVapes is USA made nic) A good place for flavoring (they have a ton): http://www.ecigexpress.com/
  3. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Congrats on making the switch.
  4. I've started working on something like that a few times, but I'm never happy with it so haven't put it on my site. It is something I'm working on though... I really need to put some serious time into it. I also hope to branch out and carry more products some day. I'm growing, slowly but surely.
  5. 1.) They should be 510 compatible, right? Yes. 2.) SR offers a cooler vape while a LR is warmer/hotter? Correct, but with the twist you could use a SR and turn the voltage up to get similar results. 3.) What are these single and double coils all about? Can they be used with the eGO set up? Although there probably are some dual coil atomizers out now, I'm assuming you're talking about cartomizers (not for dripping)? Some cartomizers have two coils in them. Some people love them, while others... not so much. I've never been a big fan, they're just "ok" to me. They are popular for being used in a tank. 4.) Type A or Type B? (I'm using Type B right now -- I think) Type A and Type B are eGo style atomizers. Type A is cone shaped and Type B is cylindrical. This is a link to a standard 510 atomizer: http://www.forevervapor.com/starter-kits/joye-ego/joye-510-ego-lr-atomizer/ And this is a Type A eGo atomizer: http://www.foreverva...tomizer-type-a/ The Type B is similar to Type A, just cylindrical instead of cone shaped. You could use either one on your eGo batteries. 4.a.) If I go with Type A, do I need more equipment, like something to make it compatible with my eGO batts? No. It will work on you eGo batteries. If you want to drip, make sure you're getting an eGo atomizer, not an eGo-T (tank) atomizer. 5.) And I always thought a bridge was something you walked or drove over to get to the other side. What's it mean with e-cigs and attys? And do I want an atty with or without a bridge? If you look inside a 510 atomizer, you'll see a wire mesh "bridge" that goes over the coil. When using a 510 cart, this bridge helps pull juice from the cart and deliver it to the coil. As mse12 said, it's a matter of personal preference. Some swear by them, but I never noticed any difference.
  6. Those lines really are frustrating, and yet somehow humorous when trying to hold it just right in the light to see them. LOL!
  7. Try cleaning the connectors (I just use a tissue) on the batteries and the charger. I've had this happen occasionally and cleaning solved the problem.
  8. I like the way it's assembled. The coil material looks pretty durable. The coil material I got with a rebuildable atty a couple of years ago was very brittle and kept breaking when I tried to make a coil. Wasn't easy to work with. This looks much better. I saw where ECF has banned negative supplier reviews related to rebuildalbe attys, stating that they are for experienced users with a general knowledge of electronics and the ability to use a multi-meter. I got the impression that there have been some damaged PVs from people using rebuildable attys. I would think a protected mod like the Provari would be okay, but on an unprotected mod, use some caution... don't just put it together, roll a coil and slap it on.
  9. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Did you order a mod, or a 1000mAh eGo battery? If you got a 1000mAh eGo battery, it's the same as your regular eGo battery but will last longer between charges. You can use anything on it that you use on your regular eGo battery. Throat hit is primarily related to the nicotine content of the juice. 24mg will hit harder than 18mg. You typically get a better hit from PG vs. VG. VG will create much more vapor but the throat hit will be smoother. I'm sure someone will be along son with lots of suggestions.
  10. BINGO! That's what I do also. Unless I've overfilled the tank, this works every time. I haven't used a Stardust, but this was worked on every tank type atty I have used.
  11. I smoked for 20 years and was up to 1.5 packs p/day. I've stopped smoking about 4 days after getting my first ecig in December 2009. It was a little more difficult for my wife... took almost a year to get her converted over. Once converted, she vaped for about 8 months and then quit all together. Honestly, some make the switch with ease, but it's not always easy for everyone and sometimes it takes some time to find out what works best for you. You've certainly found a great forum for getting questions answered. Don't hesitate to ask anything! Lots of experienced vapers here and we love to help. I'm a vendor now so I'll leave the recommendations to the forum members. Good luck!

  13. Welcome to VT! Love the avatar!
  14. Looks like TW has the chrome LT (Torpedo) that comes with the eGo/510 connection. It says you can use eGo-C atomizers on it without an adapter. You may ask Apallo if theirs is the same - I couldn't tell from their site. Have to agree with the above though... since I got a Twist I've been using it 90%+ of the time. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/variable-voltage-devices/kits/torpedo-chrome-vvv-kit-product.html
  15. I've got some of those CGR18650s and they're pretty sweet. I have the flat top and have used them in my LT. I have some with the nipple tops on the way to use in my Provari. At first, you don't think they last long, but after getting several charges on them, they were lasting me all day running 4.2V with a 1.6ohm EMDCC. I vape about 4-6ml p/day.
  16. Oh no! The 12th is my 10 year wedding anniversary.
  17. As always, it's a matter of preference and finding what works best for you. Way back when, I dripped in a 510 atty at 6V. I tried many things and nothing else worked for me at the time. As time passed, and with the invent of variable voltage PVs, I started lowing my voltage. For I while I actually started enjoying cartomizers and used them for a few months. Then I found the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomzier which I found amazing. Still, I think after being smoke free for so long, I'm much easier to please than I was back then. Many will say flavor and vapor is better with a carto, but just as many will say it's not.
  18. I've never had an eGo-C leak, but I have had some that didn't wick well (dry hits). One thing that worked for me was to insert a needle between the wick and the little tube that the wick is in. That will open up a little passage for the juice to get through. You don't want to boar a big hole. You may have to twist the needle back and forth while putting a little pressure on it, but it will go down. This has worked quite well on some the ones I had trouble with. You can also try pushing the wick down a little (not to much).
  19. Try the EMDCC - they are sweet! It should hold about 90 drops (about 3ml-3.5ml). Drip on the filler and rotate the carto as you go. Much more than 90 drops and it will start leaking. No big deal if it does, just gently blow through it to get the juice out of the center tube, clean off the threads an you're good to go. The run really good at 4.1V. I'm assuming the clear one is the same as the black one here. For the CE4, some of them can be difficult to keep wet. Try turning the PV sideways or upside down for a few seconds to get the wick/coil wet. Also, you may want to try a lower voltage. Not sure what the resistance is on that, but I've had some just ran hot, so a lower voltage was needed.
  20. What PG/VG mix are you using? If you're only getting about 10 puffs before you get a bad taste, then you're probably tasting burning filler (the juice isn't getting into the carto). If you're using a thick juice (more than 20-30% VG), you're going to have a problem. Is the carto punched with one, two or 3 holes? For some heavy vapers, making the hole a little bigger help with he wicking issue.
  21. Welcome back! Good to hear from you again.
  22. That's pretty nice looking, but I haven't seen any reviews of it yet. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.
  23. Thanks Mike! Glad you're happy with your order. I don't mind being called Mark, took it as a compliment - just don't call me Jeff. LOL!
  24. You may want to shop around for the prefilled KR808s. In addition to what you mentioned, Vapor4Life.com has a very large selection of flavors for the prefilled cartos. Myvaporstore.com also has prefilled cartos. I'm sure there are more. The eGo and the Pigcigs should be about the same size, so if the eGo looks to big, the Pigcig will too. A bigger ecig is the trade off for better battery life. LeCig primarily carries KR808-D1 ecigs. Don't they have a suitable replacement for the D1 Vapriot? I would think if they are discontinuing it they would have something just as good or better to replace it? Or is it just the flavors that are being discontinued?
