Sorry - haven't heard of these, or of anyone using them.

TPA Grape Juice is pretty clear. I haven't tried it yet. I did mix some up with some Cola flavor for a guy at work and he liked it. http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/c-54-professional-diy-flavors.aspx

And I've never seen a Joye 510 atty that's 2.5ohm. I've checked quite a few and they are always at 2.2ohm. Maybe I got knock-offs! LOL!

Oops. http://e-cigexpress.com/blog/comparing-four-joye-510-manufacturers/

Here's the blog he's talking about... Comparing four Joye 510 manufacturers. Idiot.

Very shady indeed. Actually, all my Joye 510 attys are 2.2 ohm. That's what I've always been told they are suppose to be. Sadly, that site will give a bad rep to ecigexpress.com, which is s decent vendor. http://www.ecigexpress.com/

I have Cotton Candy flavoring, which is ethyl maltol. It's commonly used in DIY as a sweetener. I don't know what Dr. Pepper would do to the flavor. Try mixing a little in a spare bottle and see how it goes.

Are you using all PG, or a mix? When I refilled I used Sweet Dawn and it's working quite well at 4.9V. I'll give it a go with my 80/20 again later.

I'm still not sure what you have. LOL! You said you ordered two drip tips, a cylinder and a cone. The link I posted was for the a cylinder shaped eGo mega atomizer. Is that the atty you have? The link you posted was for drip tips, but there is a drop down box, so I can't tell which one you got. The drip tip should connect to the open end of the atty. It can be a tight squeeze, especially the first few times. Does the drip tip start to fit into the atty? Usually where it hangs up is the little rubber O ring on the drip tip. If that's where it's sticking, you can try putting just a little juice on it (or lick it).

Fight Club, right?

You can just go to the introduction section and say "welcome" to a few people to get your posts. I'm not aware of any step down type chart or formula. Most of the people I've heard of going 0 nic have just decreased their nic over time. If you're vaping 24mg, cut back to 18 mg and when you're comfortable with that, drop down to 12 or 8 and so on. There are some former heavy smokers who are now low or 0 nic vapers. I'm sure they'll be along to share how they did it.

Actually, it's vaping pretty nicely at 4.1V. I'm surprised that I'm enjoying it so much. However, I'm not giving up yet on getting up to 4.9v. I read morfeeus' tips thread and will try 4.9V again and draw a little harder to see if that pulls more juice through. I'll also try taking a primer puff, but if I have to take a primer puff each time, then it's a fail (for higher volts). Still, overall I'm impressed at this point. I'm about to refill for the 4th time. I left the unit completely assembled over night and had no leaking at all. Quite happy about that. I was sure it would drain out on my night stand, but it didn't.

Bottom feeders are box type mods that have a juice bottle in them. There's tube that runs from the bottle up through the atty connector and into the bottom of the atty. All you have to do is squeeze the bottle a little and it juices the atty. Check out the Ali. There are some others, but can't think of what they're called. Nana or Uma can tell you where to get a cheaper pretty nice one.

You mean 2 cm? My combined adapters is less than 2 cm, so that should work.

Back then I was all PG (VT juice) and I know that the TH at 6V kept me from lighting up a few times back when I was having some bad cravings. Now, when I DIY is us 20% VG. I have dropped down to 4.9V, but and I get great throat hit with my 80/20 mix at 24mg. I haven't had any cravings for several months now and I think that's the reason I've been able to go down in voltage. While I still like throat hit, I don't think it's as crucial as it was for me in the past. Once again I'll say it's all about finding what works for YOU.

Anything different about it from what you normally vape (for example, you usually vape PG but this is VG, or vice versa). If I vape 100% VG I get a bit of a sore throat... even if I just vape it for a little while.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! The Joye 510 is a good place to start, but I would also look into the Joye eGo. For the extra $20-$30 for the kit you'll get much better battery life. The regular Joye 510 kits comes with 180 mah batteries which will generally last about 1-2 hours (maybe more for a lighter user). The eGo comes with 650 mah batteries which will last 8+ hours (many report getting 10+ hours). Since you're smoking around a pack or less per day, there's a good chance that one eGo battery will last all day for you. There are some Joye 510 Mega kits that come with 280 mah batteries which will last a little longer than the regular 510 batteries if you're certain you want something smaller. However, the eGo really isn't very big.

Congrats!!!

I cranked it up to 4.9V last night and it didn't go well. I started getting a slight burn taste, but mostly it tasted kind of like the primer they put in attys. I went down to 4.1v and it's fine. I'll try again later.

I emailed them about two weeks ago to find the size of that adapter. It's just under 1 inch not including the threads.
-
It's the eGo-T. The longer 510 extension will work I think, but the short one (from avidvaper) doesn't unless you use two of them (sorry again Tags).

Don't you have a VP/PT? Fits on there with an 801-510 adapter.

I'm using it on the Provari. I have an 510 to 801 adapter, then an 801 to 510 adapter. Looks pretty nice. I'll definitely report back after I switch up.
