Welcome to Vapor Talk! I would never encourage anyone to start vaping or smoking. Most of us vape as an alternative to smoking. Most of us have tried every other method there is to quit smoking and failed. This works for us. How much you spend really would depend on how much you use it. You'd probably be looking at $8-$10 a month for a new atomizer and eliquid runs anywhere from $4-$10 for a 10ml bottle. I go through 10ml in about 3-4 days.

Thinking About Buying A Joye Stick
Brian replied to Tagsanstuff's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'll send Chris a PM with a link to this thread. I don't know what version it is, but since he just got them in not long ago, it's probably the most recent version. -

This is what you'd need. http://www.vaporgala...0STICKADAPT.htm Looked at the TW one and that's the same thing. Looks like they are sold out though. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/stick-e-nic-accesories/302-510-wicked-stick-atomizer-adaptor-product.html -

It's specially for the Stick. I'll find one and link it. -

It's an 801, but there is a special adapter you can use on it that will let you use a 510. -
Atomizer Last Over A Month? If So Please Read!
Brian replied to Dondlelinger's topic in General Vaping Discussion
1) How Long on average does your atomizer/cardomizer last? 4-6 Weeks. 2) Exact type of atomizer/cardomizer? (be as precise as possible: include model, make or ulr please.) Standard Joye 510. 3) The main Exact Brand and mix of Juice? (example: 70vg, 30pg totally wicked tobacco flavor) Mostly DIY mix of 70/30 PG/VG 4) What Type of maintenance do you conduct on you atomizer/cardomizer? (example: dunk in vodka solution 1 time per week and burn out nightly) I blow the atty out once every couple of days. When I do this, I'll usually insert a piece of paper towel in the end and let it set for several minutes to absorb out the old juice. 5) Anything else you might want to add? Using a Provari @ 4.9V. When I was vaping at 6V I was only getting about 2 weeks from my attys. -
My tanks have been working great. No leaking at all, no burning. You may want to check out thread linked below for some tips. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/11337-joye-ego-tank/

Apparently it's using pulses to fire the atty instead of a constant flow of power.
-
I've heard that too Jeff.

Looks like Vaprlife is the first to bring pulse technology mods to market (correct me if I'm wrong). They have implemented this is some of their mods and claim it will improve the battery life by up to 80%. As an example, they say that if you're getting 8-10 hours with the 880mah batteries in the Joker now, you'll get 16-20 hours with the new version (using pulse). I know Buzz is also working on something like this, and Cisco has been working on it also for a long time. Sounds like this could be the next bing thing regarding battery life. You'll be able to get much better life out of a smaller battery mod. Imagine doubling the life of your 14500 battery.

I off set the -1.

It's a bit strange to me, but when I started using the eGo-T atomizer I dropped down to 4.1V and I've quite happy! I've been using it for over a week now and love it. 4.1V seems to be the sweet spot for the Tank atty. I tried it at 4.9V but it didn't work that great for me. I tried 4.1V because I remembered you saying you vaped at 4.1v.
-
Hope this helps. More than anything, the Provari is quite heavy. Wish I could weight the two for comparison, but I don't have a little scale. You quickly get use to it.

I wouldn't really call it a relapse, but about two weeks after I started vaping we had a big snow that took our power out for 3 days. I didn't have a car charger so with no way to charge my batteries, I ended up smoking. The they tasted terrible!!! That's when I came to realize that it's a good thing there are no eliquids that taste like a real cigarette! LOL! Oh- right after that is when my mad obsession with backups started.

Got the LR tanks in yesterday. I can't really give a review, but I'm very happy to report that my lovely wife is loving it!!! She used it all day today. Hope it continues to hold up to the 100% VG, but so far so good. They measured 1.8ohms. I haven't tried one with my regular juice, but with the 100% VG the vapor is massive. LOL! I'll also add that I've been using my tank for a full week now and still loving it. Not one single leak, flavor seems to be even better now and the vapor production continue to be great.

You may want to look for some vendors with sampler packs. Wordupecig offers a 5 pack of 5ml juice for $21. http://www.shop.wordupecig.com/e-lquid-Variety-Pack-e-lquid-Variety-Pack.htm Awesomevaor has a 10 pack of 3ml samples for $17. http://www.awesomevapor.com/SAMPLESET I would always try to order the smallest amount you can until you find what you like. Many of us end up with a boat load of juice that never gets used.

Any of the Riva or eGo mega batteries. I think the standard Riva is 750 mah and the standard eGo is 650. You can also get them in 900 mah and 1000 mah. http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=186&categoryId=46 You can also look into a battery mod that uses a bigger battery. The Silver Bullet from Altsmoke uses an 18650 battery that is 2400 mah. That should get you through a day. http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/silverbulletusa/altsilverbullet.html If you start to lean towards a mod, do a little research. There are a lot to choose from. I had two Silver Bullets and they are work horses. I only stopped using it after getting a variable voltage mod (or two).

I'm using 80/20 PG/VG (DIY) in my tank and it's working great. My wife is using 100% VG and so far it's working fine for her, but she doesn't vape as heavily as some of us, so it probably has more time to wick. I found that it works much better also if you remove the two plastic caps on the mouth piece end. I get a better draw and vapor. You may also want to dry a little harder draw - that will help pull the juice out (thanks Morfeeus). Morfeeus tips for the tank.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! If you have is really a 510, it should be compatible.

Here's the flavoring mix I use as my all day vape most of the time: 50% PA Peanut Butter 40% PA Bittersweet Chocolate 10% PA Cotton Candy Use this to mix to whatever MG and flavor % you like (I use about 30% flavor and 20% VG). After making a 10ml bottle of 24mg, I add 3-4 drops of tobacco. The different tobaccos bring out different flavors in the mix. Some of my favorites are: FA Latakia (This is my favorite) FA Max/Boro (second fav) TW 555 TW Tobacco Americano TW M/Borough

Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding now that I've been off analogs for so long, it's getting easier to satisfy me. When I started vaping (Dec 09) it went pretty good. The real bad cravings started a couple months in. I had my 5V PT to use in the evenings, but sometimes at work it was rough. I started vaping 6V around March/April and that was fantastic for me. The throat hit was awesome... just what I needed. That's probably what kept me from slipping. I vaped 6V until sometime around Sept/Oct when I got my Joker AV. With that I dropped back to 4.9V. I haven't hand any cravings for a long time now, but I'm glad I have the option to crank the voltage back up if I do. Anyhow, I said all that because I'm using the Tank at 4.1V and finding it quite satisfying. I've been using it for almost a week now and really like it. Would I have felt that way a year ago? Probably not. I was never able to get much satisfaction from cartos. They got me by when I had to use them, but I only used them when I had to. With the tank, I'll probably never use a carto again. Hang in there - it does get easier with time.

Need Advise Regarding The Little Sister Vari-Cool Mod
Brian replied to Sharon's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Cool! I didn't see that. How long are you getting between charges on those batteries? -
I think she meant tops. The cap on the mouth piece end will pop out, and there's a second piece right under that which will also pop right out. Seems to make it work much better.
-
Actually, I find this very cool! I'm seriously tempted to try this as I HATE having to pay for laundry and dishwasher detergent.
-
Little tip: Need an extra hand when refilling your tank? Already filled it up, but decide to blow out your atty and need a way to set the tank down? Where's that bottom cover? Must be buried in that pile of juice bottles and carto caps somewhere. Use an eGo cone! Set cone upside down on your table. The tank will fit down in it nicely (the end with the hole goes up) and hold your tank.
