  1. This is a good explanation of ohms/volts etc also. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/5744-electronics-101/ Glad you like it!
  2. You may wait until someone gets the replacement parts in, then just order the atty & tanks. I'm wondering how much they will cost... Ovale has them, but they're $16 for one attys and 5 tanks. http://www.ovaleusashop.com/ovaleshop/product.php
  3. I believe he's referring to the 510-T, not the eGo-T. I haven't heard any reviews on them yet. As I understand it, they are similar to the eGo-T in the way the atty/tank work. You can't use the tank on any 510 atty. http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=202&categoryId=68 http://www.shop.wordupecig.com/Joye-510-T-Joye-520-T-Cigarette-Starter-Kitts-Joye-510-T-E-Cig-Starter-Kit.htm
  4. Just a note on VaporKings - if you order 10 boxes it will automatically give you a discount and you're only paying $6.00 per box of 5.
  5. As I always say, vaping is about finding what works best for you. Nobody will be offended if you like something else. What you say about the 510 does seem odd though. Is it a genuine Joye 510? I love the 510 because of the great throat hit I get form it. I've never used an M series, but everyone who has seems to say they didn't work as well as the 510 when it comes to vapor production and throat hit. I don't know much about Bloog. I think you can use regular KR808 cartomizers on their batteries, but they do claim technological advances on the batteries and cartomizers that make them better than the standard KR808. They seem to have quite a loyal following of people who will validate those claims. As for automatic batteries, there are two downsides that most see: 1. They have a 5 second cut-off which is annoying if you take longer drags. Some may have longer cut-off times now, but I don't know because I haven't looked into them. 2. Automatic batteries are not sealed, so eliquid can get inside the battery and ruin it. If you direct drip, this is not good.
  6. Great review! I may have to try that Tropical Punch. I really want to try some of their tobacco flavors too.
  7. Your math is dead on. Now let me ask a serious question: How do you measure 0.54 and 0.36 ml? LOL!
  8. I've got a bunch of cartos that I filled with juice for my wife to try. Most of then she couldn't vape so I'm thinking of trying to clean some of them. I'll probably this this: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7962-atomizer-cleaning-with-a-bulb-syringe/
  9. Healthcabin.net has very cheap tobacco flavorings. You'll pay a lot for shipping from China though. I know the 555 is good (a friend sent me some to try), but haven't tried any of the others. A lot of vendors sell the FA tobacco flavors for $4-$6 for 5 or 6ml. Ecigexpress.com sells 30ml bottles for $13-$14. The FA tobacco flavors a quite concentrated, so usually 5 drops or so for 10ml will do nicely, especially is you're using something else for a base (like peanut butter). Forgot one thing. You may want to check out the Tobacco Absolute from The Perfumer's Apprentice. It's VERY concentrated. I haven't used it, but I know a lot of people like it.
  10. I don't see any way to fill it from the top. You'd have to use a syringe and puncture the tank from the top side.
  11. Something that may help a little - use a pipette to fill the tank. Removing the end cap regularly causes wear and tear and may lead to the leaking. I just use a pipette and only remove the end cap to clean it once in a while. Haven't had any leaks.
  12. I'm using a regular one on my Provari at 4.1V. It's been going strong for 11 days now. I hope it keeps going. My wife has been using the LR for 4 days. I can't attest to the longevity of either at this point.
  13. LOL! I noticed that this morning... still $9.99 for the LRs, and all the colors are restocked. Since my wife is enjoying it so much, I have order some more today also.
  14. Coke and Everclear? I've probably get more soaked than my atty. LOL! Luckily, I haven't had any issues yet, but I'll keep this in mind if the problems start.
  15. I don't have any problems getting mine out. Just give it a little twist when you pull on it. I refill mine with a pipette. I heard that constantly removing the end piece can cause more wear and tear and leaking. With a new cart, I put it on the atty to puncture it. Take it back out. Then I remove the end and use a pair of needle nose pliers to twist off that little punch piece that left there. From then on, I use a pipette to refill it and only remove the end piece to wash the tank every now and then.
  16. Looks like a good deal on a Buzz kit in the classifieds now. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/11565-buzz-kit-with-extras/
  17. Cartomizers are a one piece atomizer. There's no cart. However, you can pop the cap off and put a drip tip on it if you want. In general, carts don't work well. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a couple of vids on direct dripping: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7996-what-is-direct-dripping-how-do-i-direct-drip/ http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7308-how-to-direct-drip/ Here's a couple more places to get the Boge LR cartomizers: Electronicstix VaporKings
  18. The nic content of eliquid is listed as mg per ml. 24mg eliquid is 24mg per 1ml of eliquid. The part you're leaving out of your equation is how much eliquid will you use per day. This varies from person to person, and many of us find that we vape a lot more than we smoked. When I first started vaping I was using about 10ml of 24mg nic per week. 10ml X 24mg = 240mg of nic. 240mg of nic divided by 7 days = 34mg p/day. I had been a 1.5 pack a day smoker, so about 30 cigarettes a day @ 1mg each = 30mg. That was pretty close. However, I'm now vaping 15-20ml per week of 24mg. Since you know you're getting about 44mg per day, then you'll probably be using 2ml of 24mg eliqid per day (48mg).
  19. Now that you've got your 5 posts, I'll move this topic to the general forum. It'll probably get more attention there.
  20. Pretty much. In general, you'll get 5-10 puffs for every 2-3 drops. It takes a little practice to learn and you may flood your atty a few times, but it's so much better than using a cart. Once you get the hang of it, you won't even think about it, you'll just do it.
  21. And that's with the extender cup and the 18650 batts.
  22. I don't know how many drags you'll get, but I do know they don't last very long. If I recall, they only hold about 10-12 drops? Often the cart will not do a good job releasing the juice so you'll start getting the burnt taste even though there's still juice int he cart. If you start to get that taste, just top off the cart with 3-4 drops. You may also want to consider direct dripping. http://www.vaportalk...-i-direct-drip/
  23. I use a lot more paper towels than I ever did before. LOL!
  24. The original color is still $160. Add two batteries and a charger you're just under $200. Maybe check out the Joker AV (with the new pulse technology). Kit comes with batteries and charger. http://www.vaprlife.com/5-volt-cigs/joker-av-adjustable-voltage/ Or the Buzz: http://www.notcigs.com/categories/Buzz/ Saber Touch: http://vapormoon.com/Saber_Touch_VariVolt.html
  25. My vote is for the Provari also. This thing is just awesome.
