  1. You may try cleaning all your contact points (the connector on the battery and atty) to make sure you have a good connection. Could be a dud (it happens), could be flooded (is it gurgling?), or it could be that you don't have enough juice in it (is the vapor kind of dry and harsh?).
  2. Vaperite Organic is pretty thin and will work fine in a carto. I've used it in cartos and in the eGo-T atty and it works great. I don't know what he uses to thin it, but it's not like having 100% VG.
  3. Sounds like it may still have water in it. Did you blow out the excess water? Try blowing through it to force out any water. And sometimes it just takes a little while for a new atty to break in. What kind of atty is it?
  4. Here's a pretty good vid of it. They have a close up and cover the features starting around the 7 minute mark. http://vapetv.com/pages/tv/video_id=182
  5. The split appears to hurt, so I guess this really is a guy. LOL!
  6. I guess this is his research. http://truthaboutecigs.com/science/1A.pdf But this is interesting: http://www.sacrednarghile.com/en/Declared_and_Non_Declared_Conflicts_of_Interest_The_case_of_Thoma_EISSENBERG_Wasim_MAZIAK_Ja.htm
  7. Googled this guy. Seems like if you're going to make a statement like that, you should have something to proof. http://www.psychology.vcu.edu/about/news.shtml Dr. Tom Eissenberg wins College Distinguished Scholar award The award is given for a product of scholarship that demonstrates significant depth and breadth of vision; creative and innovative development of theory, method or form; or extension of the frontiers of knowledge in a field that constitutes a substantial contribution to the intellectual community within or beyond the nominee’s field. 8. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Glad to have you with us.
  9. Welcome to Vapor Talk! As SABOTEUR said, you can't go wrong with an eGo. Today's the 4th of July and there are lots of sales going on, so you should be able to get a good deal on one. I would go with an eGo starter kit, a pack of cartomizers and a few bottles of different flavored juices. How much do you smoke? That will give a better idea of what strength juice you should start with. If you're a lighter smoker (less than a pack a day) you'll want a lower nic content (maybe 12-16ish). If you smoke more than a pack a day you'll probably want 18-24mg. I smoked 1 1/2 packs for 20 years and 24mg works for me. Here are a few places to check out: ForeverVapor - use code FREEDOM for 15% off. Puresmoker - use code JULY4 for 10% off. Electronicstix - Use INDEPENDENCE2011 for 10% off. Liberty-Flights - click on the 20% off button in the top left of the page.
  10. Nice - glad it works. That coil is wrapped pretty tight. Isn't there suppose to be a gap between the coils?
  11. Damn - that sucks! I looked at COV and they do use the XL size, but looking at them they look different (the connector part) than the CE2s I have, so not sure if you have to have special CE2 or what. Hopefully someone else can answer that.
  12. I got the 2.4ohm. It works great at 4.1 or 4.2V. I've cranked it up to 4.9V just to try it out and it works pretty darn good there too, but 4.2 gives really good flavor and TH. I've got some 3.0ohm CE2s also, but haven't used one yet.
  13. Are they the regular or XL CE2s? GP and Madvapes both have them pretty cheap. I think GP has them on sale.
  14. GP SSR tank at 4.2V for the past 10 days. Before that I was using an eGo tank at 4.1V and a regular 510 at 4.9V.
  15. Yep. Looks like the negative connection is off. Got a soldering iron? You can solder he wire back in place.
  16. After looking up the MAP tank, it is assembled differently than the SSR. This vid may help:
  17. The Simple Service Reservoir (SSR) from Goodphrphets. The SSR is a CE2 tank mod from GP. It has a 901 fitting, but comes with a 510-901 adapter. It comes with a drip tip, but you can use any 510 drip tip on it. I've been using the GP SSR for 10 days now and this thing has blown me away. I was very happily impressed with the first drag and I'm just as impressed 10 days later. I was skeptical about CE2s and held off for a long time before finally deciding to try one of these. I'm getting great throat hit, vapor and flavor. IMO, it's not far off from a regular Joye 510 atomizer. I ordered two of these, on regular and one XL version. The regular holds about 4ml of juice and the XL about 7ml. Once I got them and realized just how big the XL is, I doubt the XL will ever get used. The 4ml version is perfect for me. They arrived on a Wednesday and I started using it Wednesday night. The first two days were bliss, but on Friday night it started leaking and by Saturday morning the juice would literally just run out within a matter of minutes. There was a slight crack in the bottom part. I switched the bottom out (all the part for the regular and XL are the same except the tube) and kept on vaping. I contacted Rob at GP and he got right back with me. He said they've had about 5 reports of cracked bottoms and immediately offered a replacement part (great service and friendly email). I've been using the 2nd one for a full week now without the slightest trace of a leak. Seems the biggest complaint I've seen with CE2s is wicking issues. I don't see that as an issue. All you have to do is turn your PV sideways for a few seconds. If that's not good enough for you, just tip it upside down and it's just like dripping, only easier. Typically, when it's full it wicks pretty good and tilting it to take a toot is plenty to keep it wet. Once it gets below 1/2 full, you will have to be more conscious of it. Once it gets really low I just tip it upside down for a second. May seem like a lot, but it's easier and faster than direct dripping. Cleaning. Simple. They recommend cleaning it after 3-4 tank refills. I've cleaned mine twice now and you can do it and be vaping again in 10-15 minutes max. Just take it apart and run it under some hot water (tap water). After running water over it, I put the base with the CE2 on an eGo battery and give it a few 5-6 second dry burns. This really works. On the first one or two the coil will just smoke a little. Then it will start to glow on the 3rd or 4th. I also use a toothbrush and just tap the bristles on the coil to knock off any caked on gunk. Remove it from the battery, run some more water over it and you're good. I blow it out, then blot the wick dry with a paper towel, reassemble, fill and vape. I'm surprised at how good the coil and wick look after cleaning. I figured the wick would be burned up, but it's not. This "review" seems a bit scattered and I'm struggling to say just how much I love this thing. I'm so impressed with it that I ordered another one (so I have three of them) and seven boxes of CE2s. I haven't used anything else since I got it and will keep using it as long as it holds up. I don't know how long a CE2 will last, but this one is 7 days old and seems to still be going strong. The only negative for me is that I'm more aware of how much I vape. The 4ml tank last just about one full day, so I'm up to about 4ml per day now. http://shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=208
  18. I'm a GP SSR (basically the same thing as a MAP) and it works great. There's no primer on the CE2s, so nothing to worry about with that. For me, turning it sideways for a few seconds or a quick tilt upside down keeps it wicked very good. You'll need to so this more so when the juice is low. Mine holds 4ml and lasts me just about all day, sometimes more. I don't know how much juice the MAP holds.
  19. Interesting poll. Would be interesting to see it divided into mod users vs. regular ecig battery users. I stopped carrying a spare PV to work. I just take my Provari and two spare batts. I do carry a few extra attys and plenty of juice. However, if I was using an eGo, I'd carry two batteries (two PVs).
  20. I think I've managed to convince myself to wait until at least Christmas before I get anything new. By then it'll be well tested and I'll know if there's anything else I'd rather have. I really do like this though, but at $300, I can wait (at least a little while).
  21. It says they're Boge. Do you know what's in the flavoring that you're allergic to? Maybe you could try some organic juice? http://www.vaperite.com/vaperite-e-juices/organic-juice
  22. Welcome to Vapor Talk! You'll love the eGo and should see a big difference in performance.
