I agree with Jeff. If you're wanting better battery life but without a big mod, look at the eGo. If you're wanting a mod that is more "high tech", look into the Provari (provape.com) or the Buzz (notcigs.com). Both are variable voltage. If you like the Spade, Vaprlife has some nice variable voltage units now also in varying sizes.

When you create the banner it will give you two codes: An HTML code and a BB code (they are labeled). Copy the BB code. Back on the forum, on the top right click on your username and select "my settings". Of the left side of that page, click on "signature". Paste the BB code in the box that appears.

You can't go wrong with an eGo. It has great battery life and is quite versatile. It uses a 510 connection so you have many options for atomizer/cartomizers. Welcome to Vapor Talk!

What Does The First Vape Experience Feel Like?
Brian replied to jen_haynes's topic in New Vapers Forum
Was up to 1 1/2 packs a day after 20 years of smoking. I was fortunate enough to find VT before buying anything and still give VT full credit for my success. Received my 510 kit on a Tuesday after work and started vaping right away. I was completely amazed. The rest of that week I continued to smoke in the day at work and vaped in the evenings while getting though the learning curve. By Thursday while at work I was missing my vape... couldn't wait to get home to start vaping! Saturday morning I woke up quite early, smoked my last cigarette with a cup of coffee then started vaping. Never looked back. Don't get me wrong, I did have some cravings, but they didn't really hit hard until after I had been vaping for a couple of months (thought that was odd). However, I was always able to vape heavily to get through. I can't remember the last time I had that "I gotta have one" feeling... it's been long time. You're gonna love vaping! -
I've heard of them, they are active in the supplier section on ECF. They're not selling genuine Joye (nor do they claim to be), but that doesn't mean the products aren't good.

I had issues getting the atty to make contact several times. Did you try to clean the contact points? Also, just try unscrewing the atty and screwing it back in a few times.
-
Glad you're liking the eGo. Liberty-Flights is a good supplier. I've ordered from them a couple of times.

If I recall, standard 510 batts are 180 mah and xl 510s are 280 mah. You'll probably get 2-3 hours, maybe 4 if you're not a heavy vaper.

Looks like they're up to around order #7805. The thread below is Provape's subforum on ECF. They seem to keep people updated pretty good. I got mine back in Jan (ordered in late December, don't recall how long it took, but was a few weeks or so). http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provape/143600-provari-pre-order-please-post-when-yours-ships-so-we-can-keep-track-127.html

Why Can't You Use Cartomizers On The Standard 510 Battery?
Brian replied to cheryli's topic in New Vapers Forum
The LR cartos/attys will try to pull way more amps than the battery can provide. It can kill the battery. Still, I have heard people say they've done it. The standard Joye 510 atty is 2.2ohm so I suspect there's not much risk of using a 2.0ohm Boge carto. Going below that is probably really pushing it. -
Mix away! If the nic level is different, then you'll end up with a different mg of nic, but other than that, shouldn't be any problem.

Out Of The Loop, But Still In To The Vapor
Brian replied to Tektronik's topic in General Vaping Discussion
LOL! I've been using a GP SSR for 3-4 weeks and love it. I used some cartos for driving and then went to the eGo-T and then the SSR. I'll be using the SSR until I get the Eclipse (which has an automatic juice feeder). -
Is this what you got? http://www.juicyvapor.com/Store/tabid/164/CategoryID/45/List/1/Level/1/ProductID/920/Default.aspx They're a good vendor, I'm sure they'll take care of you.

I Can't Believe I Haven't Made One Post Here Yet

Welcome! -
Oh - here's a link to some good cartos. These are for the Boge 2.0ohm that everyone seems to love. http://www.vaporkings.com/Joye-510-style-blank-LR-cartomizer-Made-by-Boge-p/510-cartomizer-blank-2ohm.htm http://www.electronicstix.com/SPARE-PARTS/CARTOMIZERS/510-Series-Cartomizers/BLANK-BOGE-2-0-OHM-LOW-RESISTANCE-510-CARTOMIZERS-BLACK-p252.html

Not sure I understand. If you have an eGo, a 510 cartomizer should work on it. It sounds like you got the wrong cartomizers. 510 cartomizers will have an "outie" on the cartomizer. If you ordered 510 cartomizers and you got some that are "innies", the vendor may have sent the wrong ones. Without knowing what they are, I can't tell you what adapter you would need. I would contact the vendor.

Out Of The Loop, But Still In To The Vapor
Brian replied to Tektronik's topic in General Vaping Discussion
My last major purchase was the Provari also, but I do have an Eclipse eq on pre-order. I try to keep up with some of the trends and at least try some new stuff (different attys/cartos like eGo-T, 510-T, CE2, Dual Coils, etc.) so I know what people are talking about. For a while I just had the Provari and the 510 atty and I was starting to feel out of the loop. LOL! -
18650 Battery And/or Charger Problem?
Brian replied to JayH503's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Do you have a multi-meter so you can check the voltage when it comes off of the charger? At least you'll know if the battery is over charging. I also read something somewhere that's it's good to let the set for a while 15-30 minutes minimum before charging. This was in reference to the high drain batteries - don't know if it applies to Lion. -
You may try lifting the center pin. With a small screw driver, gently pry up the center pin on the battery (the part that will connect to the center of the attys). You really just need to wiggle it. Sometimes they get smashed down some and wiggling it will cause it to raise back up.

Out Of The Loop, But Still In To The Vapor
Brian replied to Tektronik's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Hey! Good to hear from you! You joined VT two days before I did. You're always welcome here. -
Welcome to Vapor Talk! Glad you're enjoying the eGo. You're right though. In general, carts don't work very well. They don't do a good job of releasing the eliquid so you usally end up with a cart half full of juice but thinking it's empty. Have you tried direct dripping?

The also say the eGo uses PWM and the Riva doesn't. Sometime I think it's just one big factory over there that makes everything.
