  1. The CE2 tips will fit on a 510.
  2. Ah - I saw that GP said they had VG juice that was as thin as PG.
  3. Just keep in mind that the eGo uses a 510 connection, so you've got a wide world of options for atomizers and cartomizers.
  4. Cartos will get hot, so you may want to use a drip tip with them. Using a drip tip will also help you keep from getting juiced (sucking eliquid into your mouth). IMO, for convenience go with cartomizers, but for the best vaping experience go with an atomizer and direct dripping.
  5. Taste and sweetness is subjective. For me, it seems that most purchased juice is to sweet. LOL! Anyhow, cotton candy flavoring works good as a sweetener. It's what I use in my DIY. http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6658-cotton-candy-flavor.aspx This works okay, but I like the cotton candy better: http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6650-sweetener.aspx
  6. Typically, PG is thinner, carries flavor better and gives a better throat hit. VG is very thick (but can be thinned with PGA (like everclear) or distilled water, produces massive clouds of vapor compared to PG and usually has a softer/smoother throat hit. Some will argue about the flavor and throat hit, but this is just my experience and what I've heard most say on the forum (this one and others). I'm not familiar with PEG and really the only place I see much about it is Totally Wicked. Some people are allergic to PG, but it's said to be only about 3% of the population. You can find PG and VG in may household products. You'll be surprised once you start looking at labels and seeing it in many things. Unless you have problems with one or the other, most use an 80/20 mix (PG/VG).
  7. I've never used PEG, but do use Propylene Glycol. Just regular ole PG. There are lots of places to get it. I got mine from myfreedomsmokes.com last time. And yes, it will weaken the flavor quite a big going from 18 to 6 or 9 mg. http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/products/USP-Grade-Propylene-Glycol.html
  8. I was careful to wash my hands when I first started. Now if I get juice on my hands I just lick it off. LOL! But like you said, I'm sure a pet would lap it up if you had a big spill, so do be careful about that.
  9. Welcome to Vapor Talk! I use about 3-4 ml a day of 24mg juice (used to smoke 1.5 packs/day). Curious - where did you get your juice? Most 100VG is to thick to work in the tank. I know VapeRite organic is thin enough and works well, but I've had some that is just to thick.
  10. You'll most likely start getting a metallic/burned taste. Vapor production may taper off some also. Carts typically don't work that great, so you may start getting the burned taste even though there's plenty of juice in the cart. You may need to add 3-4 drops to the cart after every several drags. I would also check out the vid for direct dripping in the tutorial section.
  11. I would say most vape 1-2 ml per day of 12mg-24mg juice. I'm up to 3-4 ml per day of 24mg juice. Some vape 6+ ml per day. I smoked for 20 years and was up 1.5 pack/day. There are some out there vaping higher mg juice, but not many from what I've seen here and on other forums. 18-24mg seems to be the norm.
  12. They say that your body absorbs about 1 mg of nicotine from one analog, so you'd get about 20mg from a pack of cigs. Vaping 2ml of 18mg per day would give you 36mg of nic. However, it's undetermined how much nic your body absorbs from vaping. Many end up vaping much more than we smoked. Don't know if it's just the convenience of it or that we don't get as much nic from vaping.
  13. Don't forget pharmaceutical companies. I'm sure they don't like this any more than tobacco.
  14. Phew! Glad I switched to Opera several months ago! LOL! http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/07/30/internet-explorer-users-are-dumber-study-shows/?test=faces
  15. LOL! I have an old ashtray that was my Dad's. I really didn't want to get rid of it, so it's still sitting here on my desk, but I use it to hold vaping supplies.
  16. Not sure I understand your question, but I'll take a shot at what I think you're asking. Carts generally don't work well. The juice tends to stay in the cart instead of wicking down to the atty. When you first put a cart on the atty, it works, but only because the juice got squished out by the bridge on the attys. After several hits you've used up all the juice in the atty and have a cart still full. Before cartomizers people were trying many things to get carts to work (Fluval Foam, Blue Foam, Pyramid Tea Bag, Straw Mod, etc). I was a dripper from the start, but tried different cart mods because I wanted something got last me on my 45 minute drive to work (and back). Never found anything that worked for me.
  17. I only got 18650s with mine. Lasts just about all day most of the time (3-4 ml of juice).
  18. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Most everyone will recommend the Joye eGo. It has great battery life and with a 510 conntion you have lots of options for different attomizers/cartomizer/tanks, etc. I would also suggest you watch the direct dripping video in the turotial section. I would get an eGo kit, a drip tip and a pack of cartomizers to start with.
  19. 80/20 for me. I've was doing higher VG (DIY), but I can taste the VG and didn't car much for that.
  20. It is sweet! Mine took it's first major spill today... dropped it in the parking lot. No damage was done and I couldn't find a mark on it.
  21. Welcome to Vapor Talk! You're going to love vaping. I've never used esmokeronline, so can't help there, but I can tell you there are a lot of reputable vendors out there, so don't jump into anything without checking around some.
  22. Goodprophets sells these circuit board/switch assemblies for the eGo. http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=236&categoryId=73
  23. The second vid in this thread shows him taking one apart.
  24. As I've said many times, I owe my success to Vapor Talk. It's a great community! Glad you're getting along well and spreading the word!
