New To Vaping Again, This Time Its Working.
Brian replied to mattfromthenavy's topic in New Vapers Forum
Welcome to Vapor Talk! Just wanted to say that I appreciate your service! Glad you found something that is working out for you. -
Welcome to Vapor Talk! It took over a year for me to get my wife to make the switch. Vaping worked so well for me that living with a smoker wasn't much of an issue. I had some craving occasionally the first several months, but they mostly came when I was at work (stress). My wife was interested, but she coughed a lot and found the inhale to be uncomfortable. After trying a multitude of different juices and attomizer/cartomizer conbinations, she gave up. Initially, I assumed it was the PG that was bothering her and focused primarily on finding VG juices. Anyhow, about a year later she wanted to try again and this time after some more experimenting we found that is was the nic that was irritating her. At 12mg she can vape lots of different flavors/juices. At 18mg, there's very little we could find that she can vape. So, for your cough problem, I would suggest trying a lower nic strengh and see if that helps. Ok - so like nana said, I wouldn't push your husband with vaping. Give it some time, learn all you can and let him see that it's working for you. At some point down the road you may want to ask him to try it and tell you "what's missing", what about it doesn't work for him. By them you'll have a plethora of knowledge to look at what may work for me.

I didn't see anything saying if they are "protected" or not? Seems it's not uncommon for the Chinese to put higher mah on the battery than it really is. 10440 batteries are about 360 mah, but there are quite a few out there labeled 600 mah.

LOL! I was looking at the pics and thinking, "my God, no way I'd have the patience to do that!". Nice job - looks great! Off topic, but since it's in the pic, how's that "drip on demand" working?

Want To Upgrade To Ego-T Kit, A Few Questions
Brian replied to Elementgreen's topic in General Vaping Discussion
You can use any 510 atty/carto on the eGo batteries. So even if you don't like the tanks, you'll still be able to use the batteries with whatever you want. If you want to try the eGo-T attys, I would go with the LR ones - they seem to work better than the regular ones. -
It'll be a year before you know it.
-
You may want to try some LR attys to see if that helps you. After a couple of months vaping I had a bad need for throat hit. I ended up vaping at 6V for about 6 months. Then after getting a variable volt device I dropped to 5V and now vape at 4.1V most of the time. I don't feel I need the throat hit now like I use to.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! Can't go wrong with an eGo. I would go with the eGo-T (tank) with LR tanks. I would also pick up some Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers to try. See which one works best for you. I used the tanks for a little while and was going through 3-4 tanks a day (was a 1 1/2 pack a day smoker).

Safecig Is Such A Bad Company. Plus Pv Recommendations.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! Honestly, I would start with an eGo kit before jumping into mods. The eGo is quite versatile and has good battery life. With the standard 510 connection, you have many choices for atomizers/cartomizers. Get through the learning curve and see what works for you before jumping into a mod. Once you're ready for a mod, having the eGo batteries for backup is a good thing. With a mod, if something fails, you're out of luck until you can get it repaired or buy something else. I love my Provari so for me, yes it's worth the extra $50. But it depends on what you like. The Provari is quite heavy compared to the Buzz and the Joker. The Provari actually weighs more than the Silver Bullet and Omega. -
Seemed to be a plethora of issues from voltage resets (constantly resetting to 4V), to 4 of the first 10 having to be returned after dying, juice leaking out the juice feed switch, etc. Sounds like the juice is the biggest issue and may have been causing some of the electrical issues (juice leaking onto the electronics). Those are user reported issues. Digitalciggz didn't say what they discovered.

A Pbusardo Review - The Buzz Pro Vv Mod From Notcigs
Brian replied to PBusardo's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
It's a tank for cartomizers. You cut slots in the sides of the carto so the juice in the tank will seep into the carto. http://www.electronicstix.com/J-TANKS-c117/ -

Pbusardo just posted an outstanding review of the Buzz Pro. -
I've been using TPA for a while and mostly mix around 30%, but I'm flavor challenged. I've used some Loranns (what DIY Flavor Shack has) and FlavorArt and not sure why, but like TPA better. TPA does have a few flavors that are very strong, like caramel capp... a few drops will do. Having said all this, I've heard plenty of people say they use 10-20% with TPA.

The Eclipse (now the EQ) did not fair well on the initial release. The first 26 unit shipped were recalled and all other pre-orders have been canceled and refunded.

Making The Jump To 5V Or Vv Vaping - Options?

Higher voltage is rough on attys. Before VV existed I was vaping at 6V on a Silver Bullet. I use regular Joye 510 2.2ohm attys and was only getting 1-2 weeks most of the time and occasionally would pop one on the first hit. I also tried some HV attys and various ohms, but didn't get any better results. After getting the Joker I started dropping my voltage. I've found that 4.9V with a 2.2ohm Joye 510 is a very nice vape (for me). At 4.9V attys are lasting 4-6 weeks. -
Ah - missed the part that they are cartomizers. Definitely don't want to use them to long.

Through the 18th you can get $10 off the Buzz Pro with the code "Buzz Pro One week $10". -
Well I guess there's no need to add these to my list of things to try. LOL! Great vid, as always.

Any chance that because you were testing something new you vaped much more than normal? I know in the early days of vaping for me I got that queasy feeling several times due to vaping to much.

There have been a couple of posts recently asking about variable voltage PVs. After thinking about it for a bit, I can only think of 4 suppliers selling manufactured variable voltage PVs. 1. Notcigs - Buzz, Infinity 2. Vaprlife - Joker, Diamante (and a few others) 3. Provape - Provari 4. Nhaler - carries the Darwin Are there any others? Edit: Just thought of another one - Vapormoon - Saber Touch.

Although VV is all they hype, I can only think of 4 vendors selling VV PVs (other than modders). Notcigs.com, Vaprlife.com, Provape.com and Nhaler carries the Darwin. Notcigs just came out with it's upgraded Buzz (the Buzz Pro). It's $159 with one set of batteries and charger. You'd probably want to add another set, so you're up to $170. Then you'd need a volt meter attachment so you know what you have the voltage set at which is another $10. Heck, may as well get the Provari. Vaprlife has several models, but if you want any battery life you'd want to look at the Joker or the Diamante. They have a Joker kit which is pretty reasonable. I used a Joker VV for several months before I got my Provari and it's pretty nice. You can also get it with Pulse now, so you'll get better battery life. It's very light weight. Without the batteries in it, you'd be surprised at how light it is. -
Basilray First Impression: The Eq From Digital Ciggz!

Got an email fro Digitalciggz saying that they are canceling and refunding all pre orders. Guess that answers my question.
