Buzz Pro Or Provari... What To Do...
Brian replied to Kingbtheone's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I've been using my Provari since January and love it. I like the display... I like being able to check my battery level and atty ohms. The Provari is heavy though and I imagine the Buzz is quite a bit lighter. -
Welcome to Vapor Talk! Like Jeff said, just enjoy the journey and keep in mind there are many options for the eGo, so if you feel something isn't working for you, there's other things you can try. Use the forum for support and learn all you can. I was up to 1.5 ppd and smoked for 20 years. Stress was big for me also, but I was always able to vape heavily until the craving passed. I started with 24mg and still use 24mg. Haven't put much effort into try to reduce that.

Tobacco mostly. Occasionally a coffee or something sweet, but vape the same thing 99% of the time.

I was 41.

Here's a couple of vids on dripping. At about 2 minute in on the first one he explains a drip tip.

It's all a mater of personal preference. I think a regular 510 atty at 5V is better, but I'm sure there are plenty who will argue the LR is better.
-
You don't want to use LR attys at 5V (it would most likely pop the atty). A 1.5ohm LR atty at 3.7V will give you about 9 watts (heat). A 2.2ohm atty (standard Joye 510) will give you about 11 watts. While it's not he same, it's close. A 3 ohm atty at 5V will give you about 8 watts.

I've tried some, but never really got a flavor I was looking for. You do get kind of a "perfumy" taste, reminds me of old spice. I haven't experimented with them that much though. They are quite strong and usually just a few drops will do. Moved to DIY.

Yep - you're good to go with the eGo battery. The cartos come with a soft cap for the mouthpiece... it easily pops in and out for filling. I would suggest getting a 510 drip tip so use on them. Using a drip tip will keep you from getting juiced... juice/condensation will build up around the air hole in the cap and you'll suck it through eventually. I never used the drip tip for dripping on the carto, but it's a good mouth piece.

If you want to keep using the KR808 cartomizers but want a bigger battery, the iGo has a KR808D-1 connection. The battery is 1100mah so should give you great battery life. iGo Kit - http://shop.nhaler.com/The-iGo-igo.htm iGo Battery: http://shop.nhaler.c...ery-igobatt.htm iGo Charger: http://shop.nhaler.c...Charger-753.htm I have not used one so can't vouch for it. You may want to look into it though.

Slight Difference In Cartomizers
Brian replied to Viper Ron's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Are they suppose to be the same brand? Looking at my Boge cartos, I'd say they are like Type A in your diagram. Looking at a SmokeTech Dual Coil, it looks like Type B in your diagram. I didn't like the dual coils at all. -
I've been pretty fortunate with attys. Going on over 1.5 years of vaping and don't think I've ever had a DOA. I've a a few that didn't work well and ended up getting trashed, but overall I've not had an issue.

Atomizer Firing But Not Getting Any Vape?
Brian replied to LinksZelda21's topic in General Vaping Discussion
What do you mean by "it would fire"? Does it get hot? -
Welcome to Vapor Talk! In general, cartridges don't work well at all. Most of us who use regular atomizers direct drip (link to direct dripping vid below). Unless you were a very light smoker, you're probably going to get tired of charging the Blu batteries every hours or so. You may want to look into something with a better battery life, like the eGo. The eGo has a 510 connection so you have a variety of options for atomizer and cartomizers including tanks.
-
Welcome to Vapor Talk! Glad to have you with us.
-
The Blu uses a 510 fitting, so you can use the standard 510 atomizer or cartomizer on it. And welcome to Vapor Talk!

Atomizers get hot. I'm not aware of anything you can do other than let it cool down a little. You tend to get more leaking if you hotbox it and get it very hot.
