Ok - buying the equipment has become an addiction itself. Sad really. I currently have 4 regular batteries, a Spade (mod), a VP2 (mod), a VP/PT (mod), 17 atty's and about 200ml of juice (not counting the four 30ml bottles of crap). I like having new toys to play with. So, 17 atty's will certaily last me a year or more, the 200ml of juice would probably last about 20 weeks. At this point I've spent almost $800, but I've got a lot more than I need. Other than the juice, I'm set for at least a year on everything else. I was smoking 1 1/2 packs of Marlboro lights per day @ $4.50 per pack. So, 1.5 X $4.50 X 365 days = $2463.75 per year. Seriously - I was spenging nearly $2500 a year on smoking ($205 a month). It will only take 4 months to recover the $800 I've spent on vaping. Vaping is working for me so I indulged a little. Going back to what Nana said (or was it BirdDog?), start out and see how it goes. With the money you save from not smoking, try to pick up an extra atty or battery each time your order some juice until you have enough for backups. You'll do fine!

I think the biggest mistake I made was ordering four 30ml bottles of 18mg juice with my starter kit. The 18mg didn't do much for me. I immediatley went up to 24mg and it made a world of difference. I don't know if it's totally the nic or is the brand has anything to do with it, but I've for 4 30ml bottles of 18mg juice that have hardly been touched. I have tried to use this stuff again recently and it seems to bog down my atty so I think it'll end up going in the trash. Anyhow, while it's tempting to buy the bigger bottles (the price decreases quite a bit as the size goes up), I would stick to the 10-16 ml bottles until you find what floats your boat. As for menthol, I cannot offer any adise there. I didn't smoke menthol, but out of curiosity, just yesterday I tried menthol from a free cart I had gotten with one of my orders and found it totally gross. Won't be trying any more menthol.

Ok - I got some freebie menthol cartomizers when I ordered my wife a KR808. Neither of us smoked menthol, so they're still sitting in the box they came in. Anyhow, after reading this thread, I figured what the hey, I'll give one a try. All I've got to say is, Yuck! Won't be doing that again.

I haven't noticed, but it's only because instead of having one bottle (one flavor) I'm using 4 bottles so I don't really notice how much I've used. I'm really liking the flavor I'm getting. Don't know if it's the 302 or the 5v, but it's nice! I've been using VT Capp, RY4, Caramel Mcc and Mr. Bean all day. Oddly, my favorite vape, VT Tobacco, doesn't taste right at 5v. I'll try it again later, but I'm enjoying all the other flavors now.

I use the long slow drag and continue for a second or two after I release teh button. I really didn't like how hot the atty got on the regular 510 batteries I got with my starter kit. Fortunately, I upgraded to a Spade pretty quick, then a VP2 and and VP/PT. I've found that the atty doesn't get nearly as not on any of the mods as it did on the original batteries. Don't know why that is, but I'm very happy about it.

I'm thinking it may be the 302! Really liking this. I also tried a cartomizer on it. First couple of hits were pretty darn good, and warm. Then it got harsh and made me cough. I had to let it sit for several minutes and then it was okay for 2-3 hits and then the same thing. I think at 5v it just uses so much juice you have to let it set for several minutes to let the juice run down. As you know, that'll never work out.

I had forgotten all about those brass tips... I need to try one. Still can't imagine how that will feel in my mouth.

Some may disagree, but I would not run out of analogs and then try to start vaping. Have a pack of smokes handy, even though you may not need them. There is a learning curve and it may take some getting use to. Also, most of the reputable supplies will ship your order out priority mail within a day of your order (if not the same day). I've not had a package yet take more than 5 days to arrive from the time I placed the order, but keep in mind that it is the USPS so you never know.

I've been known to blow through a 10ml bottle of VT Tobacco in a weekend. However, during the week it's not as much.

Just pull out the filler. I've not yet seen a blank cart that doesn't come with filler in it.

The pass-through allows you to use your 510 atty without a battery. It get's the power from your USB port on the computer. This gives you time without needing a battery, which is the perfect time to charge your regular batteries. Also, the batteries you get with the 510 (and most mods) are protected Lithion Ion (sp) batteries so they cannot be over-charged. Once they are fully charged, they stop charging. There are battery MODs out there that use bigger battereis and will give you longer battery life, but they can be pricey.

I'm now 5v. There were no plugs vacant so I had to do some rearranging. I'm now plugged in and holly cow! Great - guess I'll have to get a Joker now.

I've been going at it since 5am and it's starting to grow on me. Getting pretty nice TH now, great flavor (seems better and lasts longer than the 510), and nice vapor. I'm still using USB, haven't tried the wall plug yet.

Now that may be something I'll have to try! I'll be waiting for those instructions!

Electronixstix has a 3 pack of Joye 302's for $24.95 - that's where I got mine. I used one tonight on my PT and so far I don't see this being a permanent switch. I'll give it some more time, but after an hour I'm not getting nearly the throat hit that got me addicted to the 510. Don't know why I have to have the throat hit, but vaping just isn't satisfying to me without it.
