I averaged about 1 1/2 packs of Marlboro Lights a day and vape 24mg. I got 18mg with my starter kit and that didn't cut it for me. I'm still on 24mg.

Congrats! Glad the switch has been smooth for ya!

I sometimes use them for my drive to work (45 minute drive). They're not bad, but definatley not a full time use for me. I've got an 801 to 901/KR808 adapter form my VP2 and they work pretty good on it. They hold about 18-20 drops +/- and last a pretty good while. My experience is that the vapor isn't as good as what you're use to with the 510. Got a pretty good TH and very nice flavor. You can get blanks from many places... I know electronixstix has them (5 pack is $8.50 unfilled, $8.95 prefilled) and I've seen them all over. I tried them on 5V with my VP/PT and they work great for 2-3 hits, then you have to let them sit so the juice can wick back to the coil. Obviously, that don't work for me.

Great!!!

And you just got you 1000th post!!! Congrats Nana!!!

I haven't had any serious melting, just a little around the end... nothing that I worried about. However, with that little melting on 3.7V I figured it would be worse @5v on the PT. Guess I'll never find out because I cut the end off all my carts.
-
I've been doing that for a long time because of the end melting. By cutting off the end, you don't have to align the cart up with the atty bridge. Also figure any juice that goes into the vents when dripping will be able to seep into the atty easier. Oh- I think cutting the bottom of the cart off was an idea I got from mcquinn a while back.
-
Messing around with a cart the other day discovered that the top pops right off. One thing led to another and... 1. Cut the bottom of the cart off just below the air vents. 2. Pull the top off of the cart with your thumb nail. It pops right off. 3. In pic #2 you can see the hole in the center of the cart after you remove the top. Use a paper clip to pull out the center ring inside the cart. 4. Use a small screwdriver and hammer to knock out the bridge inside the cart. I did it from the bottom of the cart, putting the screwdriver right in the center. You may have to "chissel" away a little from the sides. 5&6 - What it looks like when you're done. I ran water through it before using it just to make sure there was no lose plastic inside. I've been using this on my VP2 most of today and it works great and you can direct drip without removing it. Works great for me!

All of the 10440 batteries are 360 mah. There was a massive Chinese misprint on the batteries. Even though they say 600, they are 360. I've seen some that say 500 also, but apparently when tested they are only 360mah.

Well put. My all day vape is 3.7V during the week. I the 510 attys with my Spade and VP2 for great battery life. In the evenings and weekends it's all VP/PT @ 5V with a 302 atty.
-
Just got a leaky atty on my VP/PT so I started cleaning my PT a little. Found there was quite a bit of juice in that little hole. Anyhow, decided to let gravity work it's magic "just in case". The PT stand works perfect for this. With 4 layres of paper towels, the connector fits perfectly in the atty hole on the stand. Figure I'll do this once in a while to let any juice drain out. Probably not necessary, but thought it was pretty cool. Guess you had to be there.

Thanks Nana!!! You're next!

Here's another source for a gold adapter for the 510. Gold 510 to 801

Forgot who, but someone said the their 905 fell apart after a few days, so don't expect to much from it. Sorry you didn't get your order, but it's probably held up by the big snow storm. Madvapes is in NC.

Of course!

Back to the "tricky charge" - sometime even with my best effort to place the battery in correctly, it's be green as soon as I plug it in. Most of the time I have to turn the battery a little to make it go red. You've probably already tried that, but I just hate to think you lost a battery so soon.
-
It's my understnading that the auto batteries can be triggered by noise. Got any music playing or load banging? I hear it's nothing to worry about, but it can happen. Also heard that you can blow on them and trigger them.
-
Thanks Chris. So the battery exploding is not the real danger, it's not having a place to release that pressure. Like BigXor's firecracker in the hand example. This makes me feel a little better about my box mod too. There's plenty of places for gas/heat to escape, and the batteries are not behind the atty.

The Spade used to come with the gold band Janty atty and it had "Janty" engraved in the band. If you've got all black atty's, I doubt you'll be able to tell them apart. Sorry.

Welcome to VT jarofcardinals! The link Michelle will get you started. If you have any other quesitons, feel free!
-
Contact the supplier. If it died that fast they may send you a replacement. Did it stop woking completely, or just not working good? Does it still get hot at all?
-
Yes - always have spares atty's and batteries. Atty's generally last 3-6 weeks. Some longer, some less. Atty's should be considered disposable parts. And Welcome to Vapor Talk! Feel free to ask any questions - this is a great place to get answers.
-
Congrats! FYI - dietsmokes has the PT in stock.

Your other battery continued to work okay? Good life from it?

The Mega Batteries are 280mah vs. the regular batt at 150mah. So, they should last twice as long as the standard battery that comes with the 510 unit. I've heard 2-4 hours vs. the 1-2 hours of the regular batt. @nana - let me know how these work out!
