  1. When I first started ecigs I never worried about it. Left charges plugged in and always had a battery charging over night. However, for some strange reason I came to the conclusion that I just wasn't going to take that chance any more. Now I only charge my batteries while I'm around to keep an eye on them. I unplug everything (including my VP/PT) before going to bed. Don't know what changed my thinking. I still think they're safe, but why push it. It only takes one bad one, or one bad battery and you can lose everything. Just my $0.02.
  2. The first one I tried on the Spade, VP2 and on my VP/PT at 5V. I think the 1st one is a dud. The second one is still working fine though. I think I will put it back on the PT and give it some more time at 5v.
  3. Well, I can say that the second atty has really kicked in now an is rockin. It's definately working as it should be right now. I think the break-in time on this second one has been pretty reasonable. I was so frustrated by the first one that I didn't give the second much time. I still try an occasion hit on the 1st one, but it's not doing much. I'll work with it some more later.
  4. Guess I'll way in on color also - my wife and I both preferred the platinum wedding rigns, and that's what we got.
  5. Chris talked about the safety features of the VP units somewhere. I think with the VP unit are designed so that is something like that happened, the endcap would blow off, not the atty end. I'll let Chris elaborate though.
  6. I tried many shots, but this is the best my POS camera would do. I did email innovapor explaining the issue. I was sure to point out that I have been vaping for a couple of months, and that I had gold band atty's from a "trusted supplier" (that would be VT)and have never experienced anything like this with those attys. I was polite and non acusatory - just asked if they were made differently than the gold band Joye 510's and if they had any suggestions. Got a reply a few hours later. The guy said he took one out of stock and tried it. Said it started off with low vapor, but picked up rapidly. He said continue working with them for a while and if the problem continues to let him know. On a positive note, the 2nd atty has kicked in and is working okay, but just "okay". Still doesn't seem as good as my other atty's. I'll keep going at it.
  7. I'll get a bottom pic posted sometime today. My hands aren't steady enough to get a clear pic that close so I'll have to pull the tri-pod back out. The two known JOYE attys have lettering on the bottom, but the innovapor atty does not. I think I'm going to send them an email and see what they say. I've tried another one, but it's doing the same thing.
  8. I think the Janty products are made by Joyetech.
  9. Ok - I hope nobody ordered these! So far, I have to say these are total... crap. I've been trying to break one in for two hours. Very light vapor production and very little TH. Seems like it starts to work great just when you get that burt taste, but every time I add juice it goes back to being crap. I'll post a follow up later and hopefully my opinion will change. I'll keep woking with this one, and try another one, but don't hold your breath. I've never had an atty take this long to break in, so I'm skeptical that it's going to improve. I will say that it looks like a Joye 510 inside. I measured the resistance and it's 2.4 ohms, just like my Joye 510's. The two things I noticed that look different are: 1. The bridge doesn't look as "frizzy". 2. The air holes are higher up. Pics below. In this pic the innovapor is on top, janty in the middle (the one that came with my Spade) and a gold band Joye from VT store on the bottom. Innovapor on left, Janty in middle, Gold Band on right.
  10. I've heard people say that if it still gets hot, then it's not dead. For a new atty, I'd say just keep working it. I've had some new ones that kick right off the bat, and some that really take some time before they kick in. I wouldn't give up yet.
  11. Is this a new atty, or a used one?
  12. I direct drip (like Chris said), but here are some vids on other types of cart filler, if you prefer that route. The most popular seem to be the PTB (pyramid tea bag) and Fluval acquarium filters. PTB Fluval
  13. I have a Spade and VP2. Based on what you said... long life, not concerned about what it looks like, etc... I've lean toward the VP2. You'll love the battery life. The Spade is $99 and the VP2 kit is $115 at dietsmokes. I don't have an ego, so can't comment on it. To clarify - I love both units, but if I had to chose just one to buy again, it would be the VP2.
  14. I've heard that you can push the center pole down on the PT (and other VP units) if you screw down the adapter to tight. I have the same problem with my VP2, but with a new adapter I ordered it's not as bad. I've only been using a 302 atty on my PT, so haven't had that issue with it. Chris has said you can use a paper clip to gently pull the center pole up just a little. If it becomes an big issue, you can send it in for repair.
  15. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hang in there.
  16. Agree! Just placed my 3rd order with ENS on Saturday.
  17. Yes, the VG sure puts out some vapor!

I would suggest switching flavors around somewhat. If you vape one thing for a while you will start to feel like the flavor is not what you remembered it being. I usually vape VT Traditional Tobacco as my all day vape. In the evening I use other flavors... mostly coffe, but I have many that I mess around with. If you put your favorite flavor down for a few days and then try it again, you'll remember why you loved it to start with.
  19. On the 510 I usually just do 2 drops. I've found that the paper towel thing helps a lot. I have 4 atty's in rotation and every day or two I'll switch them out. Two in use and two with a little piece of paper towel rolled up and inserted in the end of the atty. Just let them sit a while and and you'll be amazed at how much juice build up in there. You'll need 4-5 drops before starting it back up. Anyhow, this has greatly reduced my leaking, but it does happen from time to time.
  20. I heard about this on the radio this morning. Just rolled my eyes.
  21. Very lame. I agree SmokinHammer. If ecigs are effective at getting us of analogs and don't deliver nicotine, isn't that a good thing?
  22. You bet. I keep telling myself I've got enough, but I keep ordering. I've got 14 510 atty's and 5 more on the way, 3 302's and six more on the way. Two Spades, VP2, VP/PT, KR808, home made 5V box mod, enough mod parts to make at least 5 more units and enough juice to last... a very long long.
  23. Welcome to VT Matt! Nothing more for me to add, except don't hesitate to ask ANY questions you have. There are no dumb questions here.
