Mark at madvapes seems like a really good guy. When I first started looking into making a mod, he answer all my emails very fast and went beyond what I would have expected from anyone. I've placed 3 or 4 orders with him and always get excellent service.

Wanted to add that I got the carto's in Honey Flue Cured and Taboo. I've never tried their Honey Flue, but I'm certainly glad I did now. It's really good. I will be ordering the juice. Haven't tried the Taboo yet, but I'll post back when I do. I use liquidxpress Mr. Bean pretty regularly, so once they get that in carto's I'll buy some of them.

FYI - If anyone is interested, I checked the resistance and I'm getting 2.8 to 3.0.

Rob posted in another thread that he had problems with the caps comming off in his mouth on the KR808's so they had these designed where the cap didn't come off. I'm not looking forward to trying the "condom" method, but I suppose I will.

I searched for "*Unsafe Link Detected*" and the first link that came up sounded like the right place. However, when I clicked on it all got those stupid fake "your computer may be infected, scanning your computer" crap things. Couldn't find the original site I went to to get my meter.

Everything I've Read About Cartomizers Is True
Brian replied to Brandon's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Thanks Rob. How much juice should you put in the cap to refill it (1/2 full, 3/4, etc...)??? -
Nice review!

There's a post about these in the Electronixstix forum. I was curious about these also. Jason says they're made by Dekang. My link

Does This Video Not Sit With You Right Or Is It Just Me?

Not always the case. Many new vapers report difficulty inhaling in the beginning. I do remember when I started smoking, and didn't have much trouble with it. -
I think this was on Chris' list... think he said he would look into it once.

I ordered some of the new 510 cartomizers from liquidxpress on Sunday and received them on Wednesday. I've never had any luck with the KR808 carto's... I've used them on the KR808 batteries and with an adapter on my other PV's, but have never been impressed. They've always been inconsistent in vapor production for me. I'd only get a couple of drags and would have to wait a while before I could get another good one, and I got juiced often. When I talked to Rob about the 510 carto's he said that they were KR carto's but redesigned to have better air flow and that the coil heats in the center, not at the bottom. I was skeptical, but he seemed quite happy with the redesign, so I figured I'd give it a try. I put one on my Spade and gave it a try. I was quite impressed at first, but after a few minutes I became even more impressed. It produces great vapor, a pretty good TH, and has amazing flavor. Two hours later I was still impressed, but figured the juice would be running out soon, but it was time for bed. This morning, I put in a fresh battery and started vaping around 5:30am. About 10am it started to die down and I figured the juice was about used up, but then I realized my LED was getting dim also. Slapped in a new battery and kept on vaping. A little after 2pm I started to get a metallic taste - I had finally run out of juice. In total, that's about 10 hours of vaping on one cartomizer. Now, I wasn't vaping heavily, but I certainly didn't baby it. I put in a fresh battery this morning and vaped through two 360 mah 10440's today, plus two hours on a battery last night. And unlike my experience with the KR808, I didn't get juiced at all... Nope, not once. No question about it. This cartomizer has far exceeded my expectations. All I was hoping for was something that would get me to and from work a few days (45 minute drive one way), but what I got was something much better. If I only use it while driving, then one cartomizer will last me a full week. Like the KR808, these can be refilled, but even if I only refill it once, then I'm looking at $1 a week to be able to vape heavily while driving. I will never fool with a cart mod again. No more fluval/PTD/ZMF/Blue foam... NEVER AGAIN! I've tried just about every cart stuffing I could figure out to try, but didn't have much luck with any of them. If I can't drip, I'll be using a 510 cartomizer. As far as I know, these are only available at liquidxpress and Dietsmokes. They are prefilled with exclusive liquidxpress juice. I haven't heard if they'll be available unfilled yet. Bottom line - I highly recommend these!

The wick draws the juice to the heating coil. If you direct drip, you don't need the wick. If you use a cart, best leave it in there. I've taken out a few wicks and didn't notice any difference in performance.

Just need to make sure they say JOYE 510. Some vendors have both the JOYE and other brands. I've had to start paying close attention to make sure I pick the right ones.

I posted a comment. "Ecigs are meant as an alternative to smoking. Please do not promote them as something for non-smoker to use. Nicotine addiction is not something to promote. I smoked for 20 years and was able to quit by using ecigs. Please do not use an ecig if you don't already smoke." -
I got a little sore throat when I first started, but haven't had any problems sense. However, I vape PG, but recently started trying some VG juice and I do get a sore throat from that. Again, if I use some for a few days it goes away quickly and is okay, but I tend to only vape VG once in a while, and I do get a little sore throat each time. I'm sure if I used it regularly that wouldn't happen.

5 pack for $38.50 at Indyvaporshop. I haven't gotten any from there, prefer the gold bands, but it's an option. Be careful to make sure you select the "JOYE" version. Sensay - I had some atty's that had that "hard draw" (felt gummed down) and have had pretty good success boiling them in distilled water.

You may try using the ticket system at dietsmokes. I know Parked has added some help, so you should get a response. You can also PM him here.

My first mod was a 5v box mod with a 5v regulator. My first mod was also my first time soldering (other than re-attaching a single wire from time to time on my kids toys), so you can just imagine how it looks! BUT IT WORKS!

Would absolutely like more details! That's awesome!

Looks like vaporkings has them. That's the only place I see them. Not really 600mah though (as we all know). Vaporkings

Are you cleaning it because it's dying, bad flavor, or just to clean it? Just curious. I had an atty die a few weeks ago. I boiled it in distilled water, along with a couple that were not performing very well. After the boil and dry, the one that was completely dead was still completely dead. I did a dry burn on it. At 3.7v I held the on button for about 20 seconds, and it just barely started to glow a little. Did this a few times, but didn't change much. I put it on my VP/PT and gave it about 10 seconds at 5 volts and it fired up. I checked the ohms and it about 3.4 ohms (should be 2.2). It works great on my VP/PT at 5V, but doesn't work well at all at 3.7. I have heard of dead atty's being revived using a dry burn, but this was the first time I had tried it. It was a pretty old atty though, so don't know how long it will last. Chris - I'm close to giving up on all this cleaning crap and following in your footsteps... when it's dead it's trash!!! Guess we all have to learn for ourselves.
-
Dave - I've been going this now since you told me about it and it's working pretty good. Once I start getting that burnt taste I just hit a few extra drags (don't inhale) and I'm good to go. I would assume this will shorten the life in that you're vaping it. Since the atty only has a limited, each "use" of it, whether you inhale or not, shortens the life.
