Looking forward to hearing how you like it. @ Brandon - you probably got you BB before the Vypr came out.
-
Can you elaborate on this? I'm not understanding what you're saying. What does the unit itself have to do with whether you use a cart or direct drip? Are you saying that the atty leaks and due to the design of the SB the atty shorts out?
-
I did not like the drip tip on the LR atty, and now I don't use it at 6v either. The condensations just to much. I'm back to my home made drip tip cart mod. I didn't have any problem with the tips at 3.7v though. Flicking it regularly does help some.
-
Nice review! And nice job modding the mod.

Vaportalk store says they have them, but waiting for atty's to come in, unless that's an old message. VT store will open back up on the 17th and I suspect they'll have them when they open. I checked Dietsmokes too, but I'm getting an error on that page.

Are those the ones you got from ecigsupply? The ones I got from ecigsupply were suppose to be 3.5 ohms. I'm quite disappointed. I'm using a regular 510 right now, so no doubt the 5 ohm atty will not be satisfactory.
-
I think I have to agree with your sister on the TH. I really do like the carto's, but they will be for driving mostly, and occasionally on the PT at 5V. I'll still drip most of the time.
-
I got my HV attys from ecigsupply today. They ARE NOT 3.5 ohm! They're HV-EM5, which are suppose to be 4.5 ohm. Two of mine measure 5.0 and one is at 4.8 ohm. I'm a little disappointed, but guess I'll give them a try. Got my LiFePO4's in also... they're charging now.

I don't have a Vyper, but I do have four other Vaprlife units (two Spades, VP2 and VP/PT) and they are all fantastic. I have no doubt the Vypr is a great unit.
-
I filled my first tonight... condom from the battery end. Worked fine. I put in 40 drops (about 3/4 full), and then did another 20 drops. Let it sit for a while and it's vaping good right now.

You may want to have a look at this thread. Chris provides some good info on LiFePO4's in post #9. Exploding Batteries
-
There's a liability concern. A few months ago someone was using unprotected batteries in an Altsmoke BB and it exploded. They do not promote "stacking" batteries. It's a "at your own risk" thing. I haven't heard of any problems with using the protected Tenergy 3 volt batteries. I have ordered the LiFePO4's, and I know some people are using the regular protected Tenergy 3v batts (links to both below). I should be receiving my batteries any day now, and some HV atty's. Nice! Keep us posted on how you like it.

How long to you let them dry after the bath?
-
Very nice. I ordered my carto's over the weekend and received my package on Wednesday. @dave - that's where I sent you the link for the wood grain 801.
-
@McQuinn - have you looked at madvapes lately? He'd added quite a few different size boxes now. I know there are couple that will hold two 18650's.

This is the thread where WillBlack posted pics of a Joye battery under load... 3.1v vs. a mod under load of 3.76. My link
-
Good to know about the BE's. Do they have a washer, or are they like the Joye (just the mesh)?
-
I can only imagine. I know it got quite hot at 5v. I had ripped the cap out and used a cut-off 510 cart on it, and even the cart itself got a little warm.
-
Yes. A member had posted pics of a regular Joye battery being tested under load and it was 3.1v. A battery mod however, tested at 3.8v under load. He said all Joye batteries, including the eGo, are throttled down (or some word like that).
-
How about a fresh round of prayers and thoughts for McQuinn's upcoming surgery! I know this has to be weighing on his mind, so let's give some support!
-
LOL! That was all you man - I just assisted.

If Your Atty Could Talk, What Would It Say To You?
Brian replied to fusiontech357's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Mine would say "I hope you never remember how wonderfully a brand new atty performs." -
Yep. They were designed for better air flow.
