I promised myself I would not buy a Joker. To help, I said I definitely wouldn't pay more than $150 for it. So, when the price came out at $169 I thought: "Oh, good, I'm safe - no way I'll pay that." Then came the $149 "pre order" sale. Well, that was limited to first 30 customers so I just stayed away from the computer last night and figured the $149 sale wouldn't last long. I get on here this morning and still see the $149. It was taunting me. I tried to keep myself distracted, but kept finding myself at the VT store to see if it was still $149. Then I thought "hey, four LiFePO4s and charger cost about $25 (depending on where you buy them) so that's really only about $125 for the Joker. What a great deal!" "NO" I told myself time and time again, but I kept hearing the calling, the taunting, the screams of the Joker. My brain would not let it go. The taunting was excruciating, so excruciating that there was only one way for me to relieve the pain. Black Joker ordered. I'm sick. I'm sick. I'm sick. I need help. I need help. I need help. Somebody help me. Maybe I need to get banned from VT until I'm cured. Then again, maybe Chris set the store up to always show me the $149, knowing that I wouldn't be able to resist for long.

I'll just add that cartomizers hold a lot of juice. The 510 carto will hold about 60 drops (I lost count after 40, but I would say 60 is about right). I think what you'll find is that the regular 510 atty will give you better throat hit than the carto, but the carto is much more convenient. I direct drip most of the time, but use a carto when driving or when on-the-go (fishing, mowing the lawn, etc). My suggestion would be to get a regular 510 kit (or an eGo) and a pack of cartos to try. Then you'll have both. As for atty life, they say 3-6 weeks in general. However, don't be surprised if you lose one after 2 weeks and don't be surprised if one lasts two months. Some people clean their attys regularly and have them lasts for months.

I've found the draw on the spade is perfect, but on my VP2 with the 510 adapter it to airy. I did notice that you get a nice draw with the 302 to 510 adapter on the V3, but haven't tried that adapter on my VP2 yet. I was thinking you could use this adapter with your 801 top on the indulgence and see if it makes a difference. My link

I think the HV attys were designed for people using 6V+. People are using two 3v batteries for 6v and some are using two 3.7v batteries for 7.4v. At these high voltages, regular attys don't last long and will often pop with a freshly charged set of batteries (freshly charged 3.7v batts are actually 4.2v for a short time so that would be 8.4V). I'm using LiFePO4 batteries in my BSB. I've heard that under load they actually put out 5.18V (not 6V). I've been using the same regular Joye 510 atty for three weeks now with no problem and have had no issues with burning juice. In fact, I've found the flavor to be more intense.

Give it some time. I've found that after several weeks of no analogs it started to generate more interest.

Highly unlikely. There's always going to be one. That's why I try to be discrete when I vape in my office. If one person complains, that's the end of it. What kind of batteries are you using? I've been using LiFePO4s in my SB and I've gone three weeks with the same 510 atty and no burning taste. According to the post below, the LiFePO4s only put out 5.18 volts under load. Not sure what size batt the Chuck uses, but it may be worth a try if they fit. My link

I leave the plug and cover on the battery end when I fill it. I hold it at about a 45 degree angle and drip on to the filler (where ther filler meets the side of the atty). When it starts to pool a little bit I rotate the atty some and drip some more. Once it starts to pool on top (no longer absorbing), I shake it down like an old thermometer. Drip-shake-repeat. When you still have a little pool, even after shaking, then it's full. I let it sit for about an hour. Again, before using it I blow gently through it from the mouth piece end with a paper towel over the battery end. This blows out any juice in the tubing that will leak out. Worked good for me.

Does this apply to the supporting supplier's forum? For example, a vendor can't post that he sells 100mg nic in a thread in his section of the forum?

First - if you're going to direct drip, you don't need the cart. You can take the cart (the white piece with the filler inside) off and just use the mouth piece (tip). If you want to use the cart, you need to fill it up with juice. When I used those carts I would take the filler out, fill the cart about 1/2 full and then slowly put the filler back in. Then drip a few drop on the filler until it's full. I prefer dripping and have taken all the tips off my carts for the 801 atty. Attys take a little time to break in (30 minutes to an hour or so). Vapor production should pick up once it's broken in good. Some juices can have a strong taste that takes a lot of time to get out of an atty. Lots of poeple use multiple attys for different like flavors. One atty for tobacco flavors, one atty for fruity type flavors, etc. Unless I have a stong flavor, I don't worry about it much... just change flavors and keep on vaping.

Agree - nic base. I decided to do it a little differetnly though. I vape 24 mg, so I ordered three 125ml bottles of 48mg PG base. That's 375ml. Mixed down to 24mg that will give me 750ml. I vape about 15ml per week, so that will last me about 50 weeks. That's for emergency - I have enough purchased juice to last me several months already. I also have a pretty good stash of attys now.

If you're wanting to go 8-12 hours or more without recharging a battery, then the eGo batts are worth it. Standard battery is 180 mAh, Mega batts are 280 Mah and the eGo batts are 650 mAh.

Most recommend the manual battery since it's a sealed battery and no juice can get into it. Also, you can drag on it as long as you hold the button down. On the auto battery, juice can get into the battery and ruin it. Also, the auto batteries usually have an auto-shut-off so you can only get about an 8 second drag. I've tried some auto batteries and they are kinda fickle to me. PG is pretty much the standard and is what's used most. However, seems like VG is gaining in popularity. VG has amazing vapor production. In my experience, you get a better throat hit with PG. Some will say that's just not so, but it is my experience. Will just be a matter personal preference. I use PG most of the time. Some poeple are sensitive to PG so VG offers an excellent alternative for them.

Hey Tammy - the batteries that come in a regular 510 starter kit generally last 2 hours per charge (I got 1-1.5 at best). The eGo batteries will last 8+ hours. I've heard talk of 10-16+ hours. Of course, that will depend on how much you vape. That's the primary reason for the price difference. The Janty Ego and the TW Tornado are the same thing, just branded differetnly, and you get a 6 month warranty on the Janty version. TW does have a US site, just make sure you click on the us flag - it will ship out of Florida (I think it's Florida). There's also just the Joye eGo - again, same thing. My only beef with it as a starter kit is that some of the kits only come with one atty, so if you go that route you'll definatley want to get at least one spare, more if you can. They do come with carts, but you'll need to buy juice also to refill them, or to direct drip if you perfer. There are quite a few options for vendors, so shop around a little. Here are just a few: VT Store Wordup Cignot I've never purchased from TW so I can't vouch for them, but it does look like the Tornado kits comes with two attomizers, so that's a plus. The link below is to the TW featured products (they have quite a few colors to choose from). Totally Wicked If you're leary about spending that much money (and nobody can blame you for that), then a regular Joye 510 starter kit is probably the best way to go. It's more economical and performs well. It's a good kit that will get you through the learning curve and on the road to vaping. One you're settled in with it, you can start researching an upgrade. The eGo/Tornado both use the 510 atty, so if you decided to get one later you could use the attys you have on them.

@McQuinn - I vape it pretty heavily on my drive to work and home (about 45 minutes one way) and don't have any problems with wicking. I filled one of the soft caps today by dripping into it and think I like that way better. It takes a little longer, but it's easier to know when you've got the right amount in it. I drip until it starts to pool a little (rotating it as I drip), then shake it down like an old thermometer, drip-shake-repeat. When you shake it down and still have a little pool on the filler (not in the tube) then you're good to go. When dripping into it, I hold it at an angle and drip onto the filler only.

How many times did you refill it?

Quite welcome. That's ones been sitting in my ash tray for a couple of weeks. I've been meaning to try and take it apart, just never got around to it. It didn't work well at all on 3.7v, but did pretty good at 5v. Not big loss.
