Vaping Vs Smoking And The Stealth Factor
Brian replied to vandyke's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Shhhhhh. It's not a smoking cessation tool... it's an alternative to smoking. -
Amazon use to have some vaping stuff, but it went away. Definatley try a carto. When we say a carto lasts longer than a cartridge, it means per fill. The juice in a cart will not last long, but the actual cart itself will last... well potentially forever. Just needs to be cleaned and new stuffing added once in a while. A cartomizer will have a limited life because once the coil goes, it's done. I direct drip most of the time and use cartos while driving and when on the go. I just started down the DIY road myself so I know the feeling. Everyone here is very helpful so don't hesitate to ask.

How Much Juice Do You Go Through In A Month?
Brian replied to PsychoMaster's topic in New Vapers Forum
I use about 15ml of juice a week and I consider myself a pretty heavy vaper. I smoked about 1 1/2 packs a day. Atty life it not very consistent... you may get one that lasts a week, and then you may get one that will last a few months. I did very well with attys at first. It wasn't until I went up to 5/6 volts that I started blowing through attys. I think you'll find that the Tornado will be much more satisfying than the Blu, so you may not vape it as much to satisfy you nic craving. Given that, you attys and batteries will last longer. -
With the adapter on the VP2 I found them way to airy. Didn't like it at all. But on all the other units the draw is pretty good. For the mega batts I wanted to try the auto ones and they work well. Although I can't hold it in my mouth for long without drooling all over it, there are time when I do keep it in my mouth for a bit (you know, to cast, hook set, etc).

As they say, even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.

Thanks! I put in an order at PA for quite a bit of stuff. I'll probably place an order with Freedomsmokeusa tomorrow. Gotta try that Tiramisu! ddave seems to like that one too and I see they have it back in stock. As for seedman.com, would you use that like any other flavoring? It's for spraying on real tobacco.

My cartos actually do pretty well on my mega batts. I use them while fishing. Now it's not the 5/6v it hit, but it certainly does the job and keeps me satisfied. I got the mega batts specifically for that purpose... didn't want to lose a $100 mod in the river. They work well on Mark's Mod also. They didn't work that great on my spade, but I think that's because the batteries are getting old.

Excellent post Bigjim! I tried just about everything just trying to get a cart to last me on my 45 minute drive to work, but gave up. Cartos solved that problem.

Carts generally don't last long at all. You're waiting on a 510 from the VaporPro, right? Did you get some juice also? The carts are easily refilled, you just need to buy some juice. Often the problem with carts is that the filler just doesn't work well and the juice doesn't flow down to the attomizer so you have to keep topping off the cart. There are several options for different cart fillers and I'm sure you'll get some good advice from members who do use carts. I posted some links on your other post that explain direct dripping... you should check that out. Many of us direct drip to get better flavor and vapor. You may also want to look into the 510 cartomizer. I direct drip most of the time, and use a cartomizer when driving or on the go. They are pretty cheap, last a lot longer, and can also be refilled at least a few times.

Well, I'm just starting out in the DIY world. I got so much nic stocked up now I figure I better start using it. Currently, my all day vape is VT Tobacco. I figure if I'm going to be able to DIY I need to find something similar. Anyone have a good tobacco recipe? Oh - also looking for a good coffee flavor, but hopefully with a flovoring that's not dark in color.

I haven't used any yet. That's my FDA stash... 375ml of 100mg. I've got quite a bit of 48mg from MFS that I'll use first. I haven't done much mixing yet, but will start soon.
-
Very cool! I may have to try that some day.

While I love being able to say "I've been smoke free for..." I know if I didn't have my vape I wouldn't be able to get to a store fast enough to buy some smokes. I'm agree with you, don't think I'll ever be totally free.

May I suggest a Silver Bullet? You can use an 18650 (2400 mAh) battery and get excellent battery life at 3.7v. Or, you can use two LiFePO4s (Tenergy 750 mAh - same as the Joker) and get 6V and pretty darn good battery life. Based on my understanding, the Joker does not regulate the voltage, so you're getting the same thing. I have both (Joker and SB) and cannot tell the difference when vaping with the LiFePO4 batteries. The SB is a lot cheaper and more versatile. And if you ever wanted another PT, you could pick up the PT for the SB for another $55. Just my $0.02. Oh - as for size, the Joker is only a little bigger than the VP2, but it weighs less. They really did a good job at making the Joker very light. In my hand and without batteries, it feel ligher than a spade. It almost feels like plastic.

The price at MFS has gone up now. He had been selling it quite cheap for a while, but it's back up now. Good thing I stocked up. Got lots of pink nic from Levy also.

You know Dave, the odd thing is that I now use the 510 on my SB/PT at 6V. I haven't been using my VP/PT much lately, so maybe the 510 is the way to go. I'll have to give the 510 another go on it one of these days. However, way back when, I know I liked the 302 on it better than the 510.

That was awesome!

I just knew when I opened up the pic that Dave would have a comment about the Mac.
