How Do You Clean Up An E-Liquids Spill On Cotton?
Tektronik replied to Tektronik's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Heh, you know, come to think about it, I use those microfiber cloths to clean e-cig parts all the time. They go in the washer and come out clean with no stains! I guess I wasn't thinking. Thanks mcquinn! -
I've always been careful about where I lay my mods, except this time I've done it! Some Irish Cream e-liquid leaked out of my overfilled 306 DCA and made a 3 inch spot on a comforter on my bed:( Any ideas on how to get the spot out? It's a cotton comforter. It's a king size so it won't fit in my washer and dryer. I'd have to take it to the Laundromat but would rather not if anyone has a way to spot treat it. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

Those dual coil cartomizers have been working well when used in an e-liquid tank. I've been using them in both the LIquinator and the J-Tank. They duallies work very well for those applications. By themselves, eh, They tend to run hot, and I've experienced a burning taste with it that way.

If any of you here are from Oklahoma, There's a new vapor shop that just opened up a few months ago. It's called Doc's Vapor and is located in the southwest area of Oklahoma City. I didn't know about myself, until somebody announced it on my Facebook Page-OKC Vapers. The Meet up will be on September 10th from about noon untill... Rather than typing it up all over again, I've posted my blog entry below: "Today I spent 4 hours with Mike, Ruthie, and “Doc” over at Doc’s Vapor shop. I had a great time just hangin’ out and getting to know them. They’re good people, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and ready to maximize exposure to the public. I told them I’m in it to help them in any way I can. I really want to see this place become successful, especially as Oklahoma City’s first real vape-friendly establishment. We talked about many things: What products to possibly carry in the future, what flavors of e-liquid would be great additions to their line, some marketing ideas, and of course, the upcoming vape meet! I have some answers to questions you’ve all been asking: They have enough floor space to accommodate about 4 folding tables: There’s 16 seats right there. I will be bringing my own folding table and chair set to the meet. We are going to need a few more. Please let me know if you can bring some on your way here. Mike wants to know what kind of things you would be interested in buying while you are there. Please let me know if you need atomizers, drip tips, eGo tanks, more batteries, and whatever so he can make sure he has enough for everyone if you plan to buy while you are there. Some of you are coming from afar, and it nice if you could pick up what you needed while you were here. I am going to copy this post and put it up on my FB site, OKC Vapers. If you’d like to keep up to date on the logistics of the planning, would you like to see it here, or on the Facebook OKC Vapers page? It’s up to you guys, but I think it would be more convenient to see the planning on the OKC Vapers page simply for the way the info is presented on the screen. Updates come quick, and everybody can see it. I’ll leave it up to you. We’re all really excited about this meet up. I know that Mike and Doc said they would be up till about midnight tonight planning and tweaking on e-juice flavors. Hit me up on the OKC Vapers page on Facebook for what flavors you’d like to see them carry so they can create something especially for you!" That's about it. If you live nearby, or can make the drive, You're all welcome to attend! The store is pretty barebones, and they are going in the opposite direction from what I've seen many other vendors do--they open up an online business first then go to click-and-mortar, but hey, it's a promising start and we're doing what we can to promote it. Hope to see some of you there! Hopefully it will become successful. You can check out OKC Vapers on Facebook for more information. Here's the address: Docs Vapor 2505 SW 59th St Oklahoma City, OK 73119 (405) 600-9013

When you cut your slots in the cartomizer, make one cut instead of two on opposite sides. Make the slot a little wider than you would if you made two slots. I do this because what i've noticed is that when the tank is completely full, the liquid takes a lot of suction to get it started. You don't have to apply power, just keep drawing on it and fire the atty a little at a time, untill you notice it working. For me, this keeps it from dry firing and burning the filler unnecessarily. i also notice that when the liquid level is at the bottom third, the liquid has a tendancy to saturate the carto to the point where you get the gurgling sound and a little hot liquid on the tongue. When that happens, all i do is hold the device parallel to the ground, vape lightly and fire the atty in pulses while i take a long, steady light draw. it is important to tilt the device in such a way that the ONE slot is facing up where no liquid goes in while drawing on it. i do that until the liquid in the carto is no longer saturated. vape normally, and everything balances out.

I've been Using my Liquinator for about three days now. The pre-cut cartos work well, and I've tried my hand at cutting my own with a Dremal. No problems here. I am about a 3ml a day Vaper. I've gotten into the habit of filling it just before bed so when I get up in the morning It's ready for a whole day. I love the fact that I no longer have to drip and drive. I think that, above all else is the important thing, add to that the convenience of not having to carry a bottle around with you and dripping is one less thing you have to think about! If they could only think of a way to prevent the tank from moving up or down. I'm very mindful of it moving. The second downside is the whole "no cinnamon" rule. I love the cinnamon type liquids.

I just received my liquinator in the mail, an it's been performing wonderfully this afternoon. One of my favorite liquids in Adam's Sin Apple, a cinnamon flavor. I haven't put any of it in there because of what you guys said. For those of you who have been using it for a while now, How is the polycarbonate (not acrylic) tank version holding up? Is it still frosting over with a cinnamon liquid? I don't want to try it unless I have a spare tank, will order another tube in a few days, but let me know your experiences with it so far.

Out Of The Loop, But Still In To The Vapor
Tektronik replied to Tektronik's topic in General Vaping Discussion
So, Provaris are nice eh? I guess my worries about too much tech in a device were wrong and these things are really holding up. I might have to save up for one now. I still keep up on the new stuff from time to time. Today, i just ordered one of those Liquinators; I am trying to find a fix-all for my drip and drive problem. I destroyed a wheel by hitting the darn sidewalk and that's all because I couldn't wait for a stoplight to re-drip. I said "that's enough" and started looking into tanks. Suggestions are always welcome. -

Hi BirdDog! Nice to see you too! So some of you ARE still here! That's great! Feeling a bit reminiscent again. Where did I put that old 510 battery? -

Hi NANA, nice to hear from you again. I see you've gotten some good mileage out of your keyboard with those four thousand plus posts! I remember now. I deployed for 6 months and got real busy when I returned. Bought a house, did some upgrades, started getting into other stuff, etc. That's why I never got back to these forums. With all that's changed, Vaping is still consistent! -
Need Help With Ego Bat

It's appears to be more like an intermittent "open" on the switch side. If it's still charging, then that side is fine. I wouldn't risk twisting the USB end anymore; if you connect it and the wire really detaches from the solder, you could damage your USB circuits on your computer. If you wanna play, use a powered USB hub instead. Back to the switch side, When you pull it apart, it should be obvious which wires are loose, you can solder them back together and hopefully it will work again. Be very careful your solder doesn't come in contact with the casing. You know what? Just toss the thing, and find a replacement. -

There are some videos on YouTube on how to take an eGo battery apart. Be careful not to be too forceful, it's all press fitted. You don't want to bend or stretch anything too far because the assembly will become loose, at that point, only some thread sealer will help keep it together. -

If anything is moving that's a bad sign. If you're a tinkerer like me, you'll probably want to take it apart, but not before you have some new ones first, and definitely not while it's plugged in. It the ends spin, There's a possibility the wires are loose from their solder connections. You don't want to spin it too far and cross the wires inside! If you feel you've gotten enough use out of them, toss 'em out and get some new ones. This is one of the reasons to move up to a solid Mod with replaceable batteries- something you can take apart and make adjustments/cleaning. Those units are nice though, I have the same passthrough and it's been working fine so far. Good luck; please be careful. -

Hey Chris, The only topic I've been following since I've been away were your announcements. I've been seeing them in e-mail, and now I see the what you've done to the place. Thanks for keeping the forum alive and well. Even with the new look, I still sense some of the old FEEL, and I want to commend you on that. I'll be retiring from the Air Force in one year and moving back to San Diego. Hopefully, someday we'll cross paths and talk about your outstanding achievements all beginning with this Forum.
