I would try a PG /VG mix or just be patient. It takes a bit of skill to get Vg to soak in to a 306.Usually the fiber wick is only on onse side of the ridge and if you put the drops on the other side it seems to work best.VG will sit there for quite a bit and then just soak in.Two or three drops at a time.I don't think you could get away with a drip tip as you have to put the liquid in the bridge.I just use the cover that comes on 306's just be carefull not too push it all the way back on between drips as it is a snug fit and you could end up dismantling a battery trying to get one off that pushed all the way on.I have not had very good luck with any Bauway product ,they seem prone to leakage for me.

I drip with 306's at home and use the carto's out and about.Way more convenient that way.

I keep having images of people mixing this stuff in thier basements or garages .I think I will stick with my Dekang liquid, priced right, consistant and that factory is very state of the art.

This Is The Crappy E Cig I 1St Bought!
mcquinn replied to Viper Ron's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Good catch.I would just order some liquid to refill or drip with until that one goes bad and order an Ego or 510 to have ready when that day arrives. -
VaporTalk ,Forever Vapor,Electronicstix,AwesomeVapor,MadVapes or LitecigUSA is where I get my preffered liquids and they are nice honest vendors you can trust.

If it is a Joye 306 then 510 or 306 carto's are available anywhere.Might be worth buying a box of 510 cartomisers and a bottle of liquid to see.If they don't fit you can use the liquid in your carts or drip and save the cartomisers for when you get fed up and buy an Ego or 510.The carto's are only $7.00 or $8.00 a box of 5. -
I have found you can flush one out with liquid to get funky liquid out.Just overfill it and catch the drips in a paper towel or napkin.Wastes a little liquid but can make a carto last a few days longer. That might flush the water out of the filler.

Cartomizer Became Harder To Pull On?
mcquinn replied to bananabic's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I look through mine and if I cannot see light at the end of the tunnel a paper clip will usually open it back up and align things.I think it usually gets that way when I vape it a little too dry and things get too hot and melt. -
3.7 volts and actually Janty had them first .Do it yourself is quite an endeavor and I am not sure it will save you much monies unless you buy premium liquids.Passthroughs with batteries are 3.7 volts ones without are 5 volts and can be had for $20.00 or less I think there are variable volt passthroughs out there.3 ohms is the resistance lower ohms means more heat using liquid faster and batteries needing charged quicker in exchange for hotter vapor and more of it.A lot of people like it.The engineers setteled on 3 ohms @ 3.7 volts in the beginning for best balance between vapor production and battery life with the 180 mAh batteries and it became the standard.

I use Dekang liquid and get 3 to 5 days from mine and then the flavor and vapor start to deteriorate.I also found when they are past due for replacement you start having leakage trouble as you keep adding liquid to try to get some flavor and it ends up in the battery connection which runs the batteries down quicker.Domestic liquids caused my atties to go bad quicker than Dekang does I assume it would do the same for carto's.I think they use a different or more sweetners for the better flavor. Not worth it to me.For no more than they cost I don't bother cleaning them. Also be sure not to run one dry or you will singe the filler.Remember the taste when you lit the wrong end of an analog?
-
Cause its better to look at pichers of cats than own one?
-
When I first started I could only taste the stronger flavors like coffe, clove or the frooty ones. After a while you will get your taste and the milder ones will rock.In the mean time just hang in there and try different flavors and vendors.I found out reveiws are pretty much useless to me.I have bought a lot of liquid based on them and was dissapointed every time.If you ever come across a reveiwer that isn't planning on making whatever they reveiwing his or her everyday vape let me know. You get a better idea by asking people in the forums what they vape and for how long they have used it.

I remember now the D is for disposable.
-
My Boge 510 Sr carto's and Boge 510 LR's have the D's on them. Not sure what it means but not that it is KR808D.
-
That pretty much covers it.I get 3 to 5 days from a carto and use 20 to 30 ml of liquid a week so make sure you get enough supplies to hold you over until you want to order again and allow 5 days for shipping .Usually it more like three unless you are out of something you need.
-
I like the 306's ,they are smaller than the 510's so they require a 306 drip tip.I got the Boge brand and they worked every bit as good as the Boge 510 carto's we all know and love.
-
wow thats a long way to say 510 lr carto

I first started vaping to beat a ban at work and I intended to smoke in the "free world" but I soon lost my tatse for analogs alltogether.Been two year + and out of curiosity I bought a pack of Camels. The first wan't too bad ,the second one was pretty bad, gave the rest away.End of experiment. The Ego or any Joye ,DSE or KR kit would be good ,stay away from the ones that are rebranded and where they won't tell you what kind it actually is.
-
Welcome.I have been at it for two years ,started with 302/801 pennstyles. There are for sure some easier ways to get the goods nowadays. Also a lot of ways to spend monies.

VaporKings sells Rn4081 stuff http://www.vaporkings.com/RN4081-Njoy-NPRO-or-SmokingEverywhere-Gold-s/91.htm a lot of people like them .

Nice looking mods.I am not really looking for more hobbies so I just throw together the plastic boxes .I did however find a way better switch at RadioShack ,it is a microswitch that when in use feels like a tacile switch ,can be recessed and handles 5 amps.Just have to remove the lever. They are not too bad to install just carve the box a little instead of drilling a hole. The usual switches seem to get a little rough on the fingertip after a while.Haven't tried the horn button cause I like mine on the side close to the atty/carto.
-
The Joye 510 passthroug with the battery box is a prebuilt version of what you want to build. It can be used unplugged or plugged and is 3.7 volts.Adapters can be had to use about any atty/carto.And is usually less than $20.00.I used the Janty Kissbox Passthrough which is a deluxe 302 version and I loved them. But with 14500 box mods as my main sled I don't bother with the wires any more and get 4 to 8 hours from a battery. The Ego passthrough battery is also a prebuilt version.
-
The stock 510 batteries will not deliver the current for low resistance. It might work for a little bit but probably not worth it.If money is the issue then Madvapes has some box mods that will do the trick. The tank systems either require a tank style battery or an adapter,MadVapes sells Joye brand and several others that are compatible or interchangeable. They usually state the manufacturer ,if not they have contact address and are very good about answering questions.I buy a lot from Madvapes and have never had any problems .But as with any site there is the potential for misunderstanding if you do not do the research, which is what I assume you are doing here.A lot of this stuff is for folks with a little experience and could be a nightmare for a beginner if they try to get ahead of the learning curve. You can get a very good vape from almost any ecig. if you notice the folks who are bragging about the greatest PV they just bought are still looking and buying the next greates PV.I have other than adding cartomisers to my repetoire been using basicly the same sort of gear for two years and I am very happy with it.Standard resistance at 3.7 volts suits me fine I just tried a lot of liquids until I found the ones that provided what I wanted.the Ego clone in your link clearly states "Manufactured by Smok Tech with MadVapes Logo" but it may very well be a very good unit.
-
I have built box mods and passthroughs but never considered combining the two.It would take some circcutry.Jolly would be the source for that info.I am not sure it would be worth the trouble though.I just cut the cord off an old USB keyboard or mouse and wired in the place of the battery in things similar to a box mod.You can get creative after you hook the atty connecter, switch and cord you could mold epoxy putty around that and shape it any way you like.I modded a few car adapters into passthroughs. They are very inexpensive at Goodwill.

You usually hasta charge the batteries, the cart that usually is on the atty usually doesn't have any filler in it ,so no liquid. Most kits have two batteries and two atties or five carto's .Very unlikely all that is DOA.Some of the cheaper atties and carto's don't have very good threads and you have to screw the atty/carto on and off a few times to clean the threads off and allow it to screw together far enough to make contact.Hope something there helps.
