I usually put 22 drops in and you has to let it soak in for at least 10 minutes.That is for a standard 510 carto,an Ego Mega carto would take even more.Some times the threads are not cut good and you have to screw it on and off a few times to get it to screw all the way on.And make sure to charge the battery .

I think the Volt is compatible with the KR 808 D-1 .And I would suppose the DSE 901 as well.

I don't know for sure.I quit using mine cause its a pain to have to use a spacer for the + end.Had it about a year.It dead now but I haven't charged it in about a month.I found out two 14500 lithium ions in parallel work better and thats what I have been using.

I have never had one ,but I would suppose it is either covered in a contact paper type substance which you could peel off or it is anodised which you have to live with or paint.Not sure it would be worth the effort either way as long as it worx.Another option would be go to a lumber company or hardware store and get some of that foil tape for HVAC ducts and cover it.

Should be a drop of solder somewhere that it was in.It has to connect to the outer portion of the atty connector and or LED.

I have found 14500 box mods are the best compromise between size and battery life.And they are inexpensive enough you can have several spares and different atty connectors on hand at all times.For my day I usually have two spare batteries and a spare cartomiser along with a 10 or 15 ml bottle of liquid in an old flip top ciggie case.

I use mostly PG and it is the best for me.Kind of fun blowing big clouds with the VG though.I would say go for the mix .I think the amount of flavor is a function of how much flavor is added rather than VG or PG.I get Dekang liquid from several vendors and the same flavor liquid from some has way more flavor than others.The price is a good indicator ,it must cost the supplier a little more for the extra flavor .

The 901 atty comes with a cartridge without any filler.You just put that back on after dripping 2 or 3 drops in.You can get a 510 drip tip it will fit the 901 atties and allow you to drip without removing anything.Same for the DSE 801 ,the atties on those come with a tip with no filler or they have drip tips for those as well .

I have used both of those and got usable vapor from both.The Ego will vape exactly the same as it is 3.7 volts.It will just vape the same longer between charges.You can up the nic or just vape more to get the same results.The main thing you have to do is get your mind right.Vaping is not burning leaves but will give you your nic fix and the pacifier effect of smoking.The trick is just trying liquids until you find one you like and look forward to vaping.As for the cough thing it might be technique.Don't try to inhale straight to your lungs ,get a mouthfull of vapor then inhale.Exhailing some or all through your nose will help get the most flavor as the sense of smell is part of the taste process.You can get an adapter for either one your present ecigs to try 510 cartomisers or you can try dripping with DSE 901 atties on your 808 batteries.The 801 is a very good dripping rig as well.There are a lot of very good videos on Youtube showning how to drip or about anything else you can imagine.

LiteCigUSA is the other place I get it from.Not as inexpensive as MadVapes but still reasonable.

I like to have both.I sometimes do the dripping thing at home in the evenings with 306's or 901's and use the Boge carto's through the day.I think a frsh carto has way more flavor than an atty,if I use a carto too long there is a noticable decline in flavor and vapor quality.

I guess I'll be first this time .They are meant to be disposed of when they quit working properly.When I get three to five days of use from mine they are quite ready for retirement.

I am not too sure about the recycling of the excess.On a 510 there is the threaded adapter some space and then the ceramic cup with the element in it.If you flood it enough you could draw some back up through the cup .I would be concerned with what goes into the battery connection causing an easier path for the current to flow through than the element and shortening the battery charge life.But the drip sheilds are nice looking eye candy.On the DSe 901 atties instead of drawing air through the battery connection they use a hole out the side between the ceramic cup and the battery connection .On those the battery connection should stay drier.

I waited for quite some time before I gave in and got some carto's.The Bauway's about put me off of them but the Boge's are just right.

Welcome back.Sounds like you have the want to ,so I beleave you can overcome .Unfortunately toppin goff is part of vaping.The tanks would be a more daunting process though they would last longer between refills.If there is someone who could fill the tanks for her that might be the way to go.A carto should last several days with refilling every so often.Another option if there is someone to refill the for her is just fill several refillable cartos and all she has to do is change out and save the empites for the refill buddy to take care of.

All things considered it amazes me how good they are for the most part .Those are some engineering marvels and the price is very reasonable.

When you pop the rubber plug out and the filler is closer to the end than usual.It appears the element is not embeded all the way in the middle of the filler and it will taste scorched right away no matter how much liquid you put in..I tried to tug it where it belongs but they must glue them.Doesn't happen often though.
