As a rule brick and mortar stores have a higher markup than online as there is more overhead and labor costs associated with a brick and mortar . You just have to decide whether convenience and face to face customer service is worth it to you. As a rule you can test drive and sample in a brick and mortar. Don't be like some people and spend a lot of the store operators time and try his stuff out then just go online to get it cheaper. That is kinda chicken sh_t . There is such a proliferation of online vendors that there is virtually no profit margin compared to a few years ago. This also explains why it is a little more difficult to get sympathy from an online merchant when things break faster than you think they should. A guy at work actually wasted weeks of a local gun vendors time and expertise ,then ordered online and had the cahone's to have it shipped through the dealer who spent so much time trying to sell the gun to him in the first place. And he will probably expect warranty service from the poor guy.

Looks like you can use anything with Joye 510 or 306 threads. Vision Vivi Nova's would be one type.

Hello and welcome. I have only had one battery blow up in over 7 years and I really had to do some dumb stuff to it to get it to blow up. Wasn't in my face but laying on the floor charging. Wasn't much of an explosion but it wasn't contained in an unvented tube . Just a pop ,sizzle some smoke and funk.

Used to be very popular but seems to have fallen from grace. I still build old school box mods with the AA battery boxes and other parts from Madvapes . I noticed they took all the useful tutorials off their site and no longer make the predrilled kits. I guess the economy is doing better than the news makes it sound cause people be spendin some coin on some fancy devices these days. There used to be someone on the forum who made some very nice wooden boxmods. I am sure the photos and posts are still out there somewhere.

you can get an inexpensive multi meter from Radio Shack, Sears or Harbor Freight that would be useful for testing batteries and measuring resistance . It also comes in handy around the house various tests and tasks and for safeties sake.

A lot of were heavy smokers for long term and have quit smoking using vaping as a substitute. A lot of us are being scrutinized because of other health issues and I have not heard of anyones physician having any negative comments on our having quit smoking. I also have not had my physicians find any negative effects caused from vaping and all are very happy with my general health as it is using prescribed medications for the health problems I have. I have heard a lot of interesting theories from folks who are against vaping but they are theories that don't seem to correspond to our real life experience.

I would avoid the discussion as it would probably end up with them ruling on the safe side. I agree about just cutting a low profile and not flaunting it. It is usually not that hard to get out of sight for a few puffs and there is not much evidence left behind unless you insist on chasing clouds. I work at a hospital and they are trying to avoid making a policy as they realize it is better than having people in hospital gowns and wheelchairs sitting in the rain and snow across the street to get their nicotine fix. But at the same time if they say it is ok then there will be people walking around the halls blowing huge clouds . And I don't really think I have a right to share my habit with someone who does not wish to partake. The tv commercials are really not helping matters with the insinuation that it is ok it is just water vapor. We know it is not just water vapor or we wouldn't be wasting our time and money.

Hello. I will leave recommendations up to someone else as I am old school and of the opinion you can get a decent vape from any of the devices out there. Everyone has their own expectations so I would say you just have to try stuff out until you find what you like. I use a Vivi Nova 2.0 with 2.4 ohm coils at 3.7 volts on an old school box mod with 14500 batteries.

hello,there is nothing wrong with carrying spare smaller batteries if you don't care for huge devices. Different strokes for different folks.
