I am in the same boat .Been vapin over three years ,I reduced the nicotine but have grown to enjoy the tasty liquid.I don't see where it is hurtin anything ,and it doesn't cost much.I have decided to keep on vapin until it seems like it is time to quit.I figure one day soon the goverenment will get involved and the cost will go up and the options will go down and it will be time to quit then.Kind of why I reduced my nic during the first year.

Emailing An E-Cig Guide To Smoke Shops
mcquinn replied to SavvyVapes's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Tobacco wholesalers have in the last few years started carrying those nonrefillable and some disposable one shot battery ecigs. They have the potential to be a huge revenue stream from folks who do not shop online.I have a buddy at work who buys them despite me showing him my stuff and explaining how inexpensive it can be.I did get him to start injecting Dekang eliquid into his disposable carto's .So maybe he will one day make the plunge.I don't think the discount tobbaco shops and convienience stores are intereted in saving thier customers money as much as making money ,so you will not likely change thier way of doing business. -
I don't think that particular stuff will ever become outdated or obsolete.I am pretty much the same.It took me two years before I tried a cartomiser ,I am now sold on Boge 510 SR cartomisers and they are my main vape when out and about.Just recently I got a Vision Ego Clearomiser ,I was skeptical about tank types and I was getting what I wanted and needed from cato's and atties but they were on sale so I gave one a try.I have to admit I pretty impressed with them .They hold a lot of liquid ,make good tasty vapor and last for over a month.I tend to stick with stuff that fits the mods I have on hand .They have 302/801 ,510/306/Ego and 901/808 fittings so I can try just about any of the mainstream stuff without having to retool.I have settled on 14500 batteries as my standard and have quite a collection of box mods .I would recomend you try a Vision Ego clearomiser and some Boge refillable cartomisers .They will fit your Ego batteries and they are not a very large investment. You might want to try dripping on a Joye 306 attie ,they are the bomb for dripping and will fit your Ego batteries. They already come with a drip tip so it is a small investment as well.

Vision Ego Clearomizer V2 Leaking On Ego-C Twist
mcquinn replied to johnnyaaj's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I just use mine @ home and keep it tip up when not in use.Boge carto's for away. -
Just put a car battery in a wagon and hook it to a PT.

I am on my first one.It has been going strong for 5 weeks and is just now showing signs of being on its way out.I have noticed lately a lot of dark brown funk in the liquid .I cleaned it but it came back in a couple of days. The flavor and vapor are still pretty good though. It seems to be comparitive in cost to regular cartomisers and the vapor and flavor are a little better.I got a Vision Ego LR clearomiser with the short wicks ,they are clearing them out everywhere for less than $5.00 each.My next one is a higher resistance ,I am hoping it doesn't go through the juice as fast as the LR one.

I am a box mod kind of person .The only thing better than a 14500 boxmod is a 2X 14500 3.7 volt boxmod.

Hello and welcome. The KR808's would be a good place to start,or an Ego type battery with Boge 510 refillable carto's .You can fill several in advance and put the rubber caps back on them.I just carry a bottle of liquid and some spare batteries and an extra carto in an old plastic flip top ciggie case. The refillable carto's have a rubber plug that you remove ,I usually discard that and use a drip tip as the plugs require something to remove them with .For the KR808's a 808/901 drip tip would be required. Most eliquid nowdays has childproof caps but I would keep it in a safe place and talk to the kids.Childproof does not really mean too much .Keep it simple at first and spend your time and money trying out all the different tasty liquids until you find the ones that work for you.Don't buy too much at a time from any one vendor until you are sure you like what they have.
-
Actually you can refill those nonrefillable carto's.Look on Youtube for condom method of refilling cartomisers .One of my buddies at work uses a syringe to refill his with eliquid I get him from EcigBestSave.I can't get through to him how much better off he would be switching to an Ego or 510.He just likes picking things up when he wants it.

Fire Fly Double Kit With "glass" Tank Cartomizer
mcquinn replied to JayH503's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I can. There seem to be a lot of vapors with unlimited cash reserves or huge credit limits.Seems like more of those kind of vapers than the frugal ones trying to keep the cost down .The Firefly does come with a custom gift box. -
Man, I could not remember how to spell Sailebao for nothing.Teddy bears like White Clouds I think.

KR is Kanger mfg,DSE is a seperate manufacturer used to be Sailibo ir something like that.DSE 801 is the larger pennstyle DSE 901 and Kanger KR 808 have the same threads in a smaller pennstyle.I would guess you just need a 510 battery to KR808/DSE 901 adapter for $3.00 and you can use you 510/Ego style batteries.

It's all good.Just takes a while to get it down to whats best for you.Thats what rocks about vaping ,lots of options to explore.

Vaping is not smoking but rather a good alternative. So make sure your friend knows up front it is not burning leaves but a better way to get the nic fix and the hand to mouth gratification.I have used most of the popular ecigs and you can get good vapor from any of them.I would recomend sticking with a Joye ,DSE or Kanger (KR) product as they will find it easier to get replacements and advice.A KR808 or Joye 510 would be an inexpensive way to try it out.And an assortment of liquids ,as that is the hard part .Finding a liquid you like and look forward to vaping. As i posted earlier you can get your nic fix from any of it.After they find liquids they like and decide to stick with it ,moving up to a bigger battery would be the progression. For starters avoid tanks and low resistance and all the gimmicks. While they do provide better vapor for longer, the frustration for a noob can make it all a bad experience.
-
I would just go with the lower nic,The VG /PG thing is over rated in my opinion.Higher VG makes more vapor and thicker liquid that doesn't soak in or wick as well as a mix.Don' inhale straight to your lungs but rather get a mouthfull of vapor then inhale .It is a learning curve.Enjoy.

I would say since the charger is designed for similar but lower mAh batteries it should be ok.But if you are really concerned you should get a Joye Ego charger .Looks like most of those are of the USB variety and would require an AC adapter if you want to plug in the wall. Most reputable vendors have an email address where you can ask for advice or specifications or compatibity of thier products.

What's The Advantage Of Cartomizers?
mcquinn replied to jmhester's topic in General Vaping Discussion
For me it is cost, quality and convenience.$7.00 for 5 carto's and each carto lasts 3 to 7 days of quality vaping .So For my $7.00 I get 15 to 21 days of vaping and I don't have to mess with trying to clean them .I have recently gotten a Vision clearomiser and it might just be better than cartomisers.I have been using it for 2 weeks now and it cost me $5.00 it requires filling even less than a carto and the flavor rocks so far. -
I would suggest an Ego type battery for long life and either Vision clearomisers or Boge standard resistance carto's.As far as extras go you will need plenty of liquid on hand , cartomisers, plan on getting 3 to 5 days use per carto .If you get more it is a bonus. And always have spare batteries and perhaps a passthrough. After a few months you will get to know what you use and get the cost down.

What Am I Doing Wrong? Poor Taste, Bad Cartos
mcquinn replied to provari's topic in General Vaping Discussion
You may not be getting them full.A carto by itself holds 22 drops and then the the tank holds some more.If you are vaping a dry carto it will taste very bad.I would suggest dumping the tank and just using Boge standard resistance carto's.You also might try dialing back the voltage. That particular brand of liquid is awesome at 3.7 to 4 volts. -
I think I would get an Ego ,some Boge low resistance carto's and some 36 mg lquid .You also have to realise you are not burning leaves so it will never be the same. The low resistance carto's will produce a warmer vapor in greater quantities and should help.
-
Make sure you are getting those Boge carto's full .I put 22 drops in a new one and let it soak for 3 to 5 minutes before lighting it off. After a few days of use you will find yourself wanting to add more liquid to try and get some flavor but all it does it get leaky ,that is a good sign it is time for a new one as they get loaded up with what does not vaporise .Low resistance and more coils will make more vapor but will also use the liquid faster cause it takes liquid to make vapor.
-
I go through about 20 ml's a week and a Boge LR carto lasts me 3 or 4 days,a standard resistance lasts 3 to 7 days depending on which liquid I am using. The carto's either start tasting bad or not producing very good quality vapor when I junk them. And if you run one dry ,especially a LR they get scorched and there is not much you can do to get rid of that funky taste. If you want to go through some liquid get a LR Vision Ego Clearomiser, those things really vaporise some liquid.
