Thought we covered that one pretty well. You are in an area that is ruled by personal preference. The whole voltage resistance area can be quite confusing and requires trial and error to find your niche.I usually recomend for folks to keep it as simple as possible and just look for the perfect liquid. An Ego type battery with carto's or clearomisers is a pretty foolproof simple and effective rig for a small investment.

3.2 ohms is a little more resistance than a single coil SR ,there is just more surface area at a lower temperature to make more cooler vapor. You might be better off with a single coil carto ,would be less expensive, unless you just want an excuse to buy a new PV.

I would say the Nova or Vision clearomisers would be a good bet,and you doesn't hasta punch holes in carto's or worry about orings.

What Drains A Battery Faster: High Voltage Or High Amperage?
mcquinn replied to Rixter's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I really don't think about stuff like that.It is what it is ,I just go with what I like and change batteries whe they go dead.A person could waste a lot of high quality mindless vaping time thinking about physics and such. -
I think there are seven classifications ,small battery off the rack ,big battery off the rack Variable voltage off the rack ,variable power off the rack ,low voltage passthrough ,high voltage passthrough and hand built kind of rare mods.So I suppose box and tube mods would for the most part not be mods as they are pretty standard anymore.

If you are going to use dual coil and want warmer vapor you will either have to lower the resistance of the carto's or raise the voltage on the battery.

What Do You Do On The Days That Are Just A Vaping Fail?
mcquinn replied to mse12's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I will let you know if it ever happens.I also have 510 and 306 atties for dripping ,carto's and clearomisers.Passthroughs ,VV passthrough and a dozen boxmods and a dozen different tobacco flavors .Something always worx for me. -
Depends on what your definition of is is.This is fun seeing what others think though.I am of the opinion once it goes into production it is not a mod anymore.
-
If a mod goes into mass production is it still a mod??
-
I doubt if you would be allowed to bring a years worth of eliquid on a plane. For me that would be over a hundred 10 ml bottles.Good luck though and have fun.
-
I have heard of doing that with lithium ion cells like 14500's by putting both in a two place charger but never with an ecig type battery.I suppose you could use a wire with aligator clips for the negative connection and if you had them in a vise or someone to hold them you could then take a wire and do the center posts.
-
I always thought it was better to just carry a few extra 801 batteries with me.I still carry extra 14500 batteries with me.
-
Glad you are back.good luck.

It can light up and not be making contact as the battery is either activated by drawing on it or pushing the button.Bauway brand cartos are really bad about not screwing on all the way.Another thing you can try is inserting a straightened paper clip a little into the center contact hole on the carto and jiggling it trying to lift it some.doesn't take much.
-
Kind of a step backwards isn't it?
-
Sometimes the threads on the carto's are not cut very good and they do not screw on far enough to make contact.Try screwing one on and off a few times that seems to help clean things up a bit.You might consider getting a Joye or KR unit in the future with refillable carto's ,you will have less trouble with that I promise.

What Drains A Battery Faster: High Voltage Or High Amperage?
mcquinn replied to Rixter's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Correct 2.3 amps is more current flow so it is draing the reserve quicker. The extra current is the heat you are noticing in the area of the regulator. -
I Pulled The Trigger, Now I Have Questions

Hi,welcome, good choice. The throat thing is probably technique.Drink a lot of water .Get a mouthfull of vapor then inhale.,the PG/VG has more to do with vapor than nicotine.VG produces more vapor. The popping is normal it is little steam bubbles popping as things warm up.I think low nic levels and more vaping is the way to go.12 mg is a very good starting place. Most people kick the nic level up to compensate for vaping not being just like smoking as far as throat hit. -
What Drains A Battery Faster: High Voltage Or High Amperage?

I would imagine that the switch is seeing the same current flow as it is electronicly switching the device. The voltage reduction circutry will get hot reducing the voltage. -
What Drains A Battery Faster: High Voltage Or High Amperage?
mcquinn replied to Rixter's topic in General Vaping Discussion
If you are using the same power (watts) then you will be draining the battery at the same rate. When voltage goes up current goes down and vice versa.Voltage is the pressure so more voltage is a greater difference in potential .Current is the amount of flow ,like a bigger hose. -
I had an employer who would lay off every yeay at Thanksgiving then recall us after the first of the year.Really bites.I used to go to the temp. agencies and do what ever they had.Made a lot of contacts and learned a lot of skills and was way better than being at home with no monies to fix all the broken crap I would be staring at.
-
One of the things that happens when you quit smoking is the lungs will start cleaning house.Expect some coughing up gunk.Be carefull with nic strength. We usually vape a lot more than we smoked and assume we need the highest nic level we can get our hands on.I usually recomend going with a lower nic strength and going bugnutz vaping.

306's seem to tolerate flavor changes better than 510's ,not sure why as I am pretty sure it is the same bridge and element.I just use the blank cart that comes on them but you have to be carefull not to push it all the way back on.Those babies fit tight enough you can disassemble a battery trying to get them off.
