  1. What gets me is you said in the first post they work ok on your iPod.I cannot wrap my head around that one.You can get the ferrite filters at RadioShack or online would be worth a try ,not very expensive.
  2. "Particles too small to enter the lungs?"
  3. It is called a teaser to get excitement built up for the release of the next greatest thing to hit the personal vaporizor market.Soon everyone will be raving about it.Just my guess ,we will have to wait and see I suppose.
  4. Since the speakers work on your iPod I would think the problem is the soundcard in your puter.I would get a new sound card and disable the onboard one in BIOS if I were you.If you are not able to do this ,call a few computer repairpersons and get some estimates.Make sure they are all quoting a similar sound card like an Audigy. You could also try a pair of earphones like the ones for your iPod on the puter to see if you still hear it .
  5. I agree DAYVAPE I don't really see anything to keep it from running all over the place.the x slit might if it is not pressed over the bridge,if it is it would just be a large hole and the liquid would just run downhill,if the bridge happens to be downhill I would think the juice would end up below the element holder.
  6. I am not to sure about the protected 10440 battaeries that are blue and labeled Ultrafire with a poor print job.I have five and two of them the circut board positive connection has broken off.One was replaced by the supplier but these are some poorly crafted batteries and it would be wise to order more than you need to allow for short life span. For the price they may be worth taking a chance on ,just don't let yourself be caught without some spares.I think I will get the gray Trustfire ones in the future. This is just my personal experience and in no way am I casting dispersion on any suppliers ,just trying to make sure no one is left with a PV and no battery to spark it up with.
  7. Welcome .The primer that comes in the atty is either plain PG or VG and that is the same thing that is used in fog machines. They usually come with a Marlboro type of flavor in the prefilled carts,as that is something a smoker should find appealing.I usually use a bottle and a half a week so if you think you like it based on a day or two of trying you should probably order some more juice so as not to run dry and have to fall back on analogs until the mailman brings you some more.Might I suggest a sample pack so you can try several flavors to see what you like. The suppliers listed in this forum are a good place to aquire some more.Enjoy and if you have any more questions feel free to ask away.
  8. The bass has peizo pickup in the bridge and a preamp and equaliser if it is not loud enough on its own.I kinda hope I can get away without dragging an amp all the time though. It has fret lines on it ,I guess the novelty is the sound is more like an upright it kinda thunks due to not having the frets you can do slides and other tricks you can't do with frets.Doesn't have the sustain but for some styles that may be a good thing.I still have the P bass copy to fall back on .
  9. I wouldn't thin kit should matter with carts as long as you stick to the Janty or Joye low bridge atty's.I don't have a Stick but I use Kissbox passthroughs and I don't have any trouble with leakage and mine end up in some wierd postions.
  10. I have had to buy some 0 nic to mix down some too high before, just order the same flavor or something close to it.The PG or VG will reduce it but the flavor will get weaker as well.
  11. Oh man SmokinHammer you have reached the pinnacle of old age when you start talkin about bodily functions.Welcome to the club.We can set aroung puffin on our e-ciggs and talkin about aches and pains and bowel movements.
  12. Nillson Schmillson or something like that I think was the album "can't live" if living is without you was the single, those were the days.
  13. I have a Martin D-18 and an Ovation Applause and to be honest with you the Ovation is more consistant ,the Martin is very sensitive to the humidity.I like getting together and jamming with the group ,we practice at a senior apartment complex and all the old folks come down for the show.
  14. I have noticed that I vape for about two hours nonstop before bed and the nic keeps me from sleeping very soundly.I have been using very low 6 mg or less the last couple of nights before bed and have been sleeping better.
  15. Vapor Kings has some high voltage atty's and I am sure you can get them elsewhere they also have the SLB 510's as well as Joye 510's.I would suppose they have a heavier element with higher resistance ,the end result would be it probably only gets as hot as a regular atty at 3.7 volts. You can only put so many volts through the thin nichrome wire in an atty without it burning out.Keeping it wet helps keep the heat down but one puff too many and poof.
  16. The mesh over the bridge absorbs some of the liquid and meters it to the element. With nothing to absorb the liquid I would think it would be easy to flood the atty and it not be able to get hot enough to produce, not to mention having juice running through the holes and out the battery connection.
  17. It kinda makes you gun shy after you buy a $50.00 kit and find out you picked wrong. We are not all smart enough to check forums before we buy.I didn't even know what a forum was ,the only reason I started looking into forums was I googled and found a discount code for being a member of a forum. If you do like most newbies you just Google E-ciggs and what comes up is all the crooks first and it doesn't take much to do a web site to make you look like a "White Knight" coming to my rescue.I use to do "Rollies" I figured if I was going to kill myself I would do it as cheap as possible. The price checking comes after you find out most of this stuff comes from three or four manufacturers and is just labeled to make it look like more.Especially imported e-juice you would not believe the price disparity for basicly the same juice from the same wholesaler.
  18. I just ordered a Dean fretless acoustic bass, after my surgery I cannot see me packin an amp and my wife doesn't think being a "Roadie" is for her.I play for a bluegrass gospel band and they kind wish I would get an upright "Billy Bass" but I cannot see that happening.$2000.00 for something that doesn't even look fun to pack or play.I have been using a State Of The Art P bass copy so this will be quite a change for me.I hope it has enough volume to cut it.Anybody ever play one of the acoustic basses? Is frettless very hard?
  19. I am eating the Lortabs as needed ,lucky for me I have apretty high threshold for pain and my legs are in pretty good shape. The surgeon who scoped my knee and removed what was left of the miniscus couldn't believe how much range of motion I had after he looked inside.I do the HVAC/R at the hospital and get along great with all the people who I will have to deal with ,should be kinda fun if thats possible.I am afraid this is just the beginning as I have artheritis about everywhere I could possibly have it.When life gives you lemons ,make lemonade I suppose.
  20. The circut board is located in a way that if you drop a battery on the floor it could break a connection real easy as well, and who hasn't dropped things?
  21. You folks are the best.
  22. Sounds like a dead battery ,it has enough juice to light the LED but when you put it under load the protection circut board cuts it off.Any spare batteries?
  23. I finally got tired of the pain and scheduled a partial knee replacement for April 12th.Man I cannot beleive all the things you have to do to get elective surgery these days. They have classes and coaches like the Lamaze classes for childbirthing. You have to do all kinds of therapy before surgery to shorten the recovery time. Most of it seems geared for older folks than me who may be a little less fit .Please channel all prayers and good karma my way ,all are glady accepted and reciprocated on request.
  24. I finally built some mods based on the AAA box mod designs at MadVapes ,I am pretty impressed with how easy they were to build and the amount of hours I am getting on 10440 batteries is pretty impressive.I built two that use one 10440 and two that use two 10440' in parralel for 3.7 volts.I bought four 10440 protected batteries and found one would not take a charge from the get go ,it was replaced with no problems then after a week a second one quit taking a charge.I got curious and cut the shrink wrap off .There is a circut board double sided taped to the negative end of the batttery. It has a negative conducter soldered to the battery and another conducter goes from the circut board to the positive pole of the battery ,you can see the end of this one.The circut board measures the voltage and if it is low it disconnects the negative contact on the battery. When you try to charge it if the voltage is too low it will also not allow the battery to recharge. The problem with mine was the positive connection to the circut board was broken and the circut board could not function to allow the switching mechanism to allow the negative pole of the battery to be engaged. To confirm this I removed the circut board and cleaned up the ends .The batteries took a charge and worked fine but they are not protected any longer. The moral of the story is have plenty of these batteries on hand as it is very likely these connections on the circut board will break, especially if you have a tight fit in your battry holder.Enjoy your vaping and experiment like a mad scientist.
  25. You have to watch the amp rating on the power supply .For a PT that does not have a battery inline you need at least 1000 mAh or 1 amp ,most of the chargers for ipods and cell phones only put out 400 mAh .The PT that has a battery inline however vapes off the battery and is charging off the usb port and you can get away with the lower mAh.
