This is a cheap & simple E-Hookah design that should cost you under $40, depending on where you shop. It can produce very heavy vapor. I kind of threw this together without much time… so please excuse any errors. I’m a busy guy. Materials: PVC Pipe PVC end caps PVC glue VERY large GLASS pickle jar with lid – (do not use plastic) Variable Temperature Soldering Iron (don’t use a pencil type without temperature control…. You can but that’s another step I’m not going to get into right now.) Liquid container Hi temperature hose Nylon tubing Bolts , Nuts, Washers Brass or Stainless Steel pipe nut Brass or Stainless Steel screw Sealant Tools Drill with tungsten carbide bit for drilling through glass. ( plus a assortment of bits for PVC/Metal) MISC. Tools for tightening… pliers, sockets, etc. Procedure 1.) Cut PVC pipe to desired height. 2.) Cut Nylon tubing used for smoking to desired length, usually around 70" + Note -You'll need at least 2 Nylon tubes. One for you to smoke out of, and another to allow for airflow in the jar. One can be smaller to cause resistance of airflow. You can use more then 2 tubes if you want to share your hookah with someone else at the same time. 3.) Bolt the jar lid to one of the PVC end caps as shown in the picture. Then drill one hole for the soldering iron, it should be dead center. Then drill the holes for your Nylon tubing. 4.) Attach the end cap with drilled holes to the cut PVC pipe with PVC glue. 5.) Remove soldering iron tip, screw on brass or SS pipe nut to soldering iron using a brass or SS screw. When assembled it will look like a little bowl on top a soldering iron. 6.) Install soldering iron in the center of lid / end cap. Also run your Nylon tubing to the holes your drilled. Make sure to put a sealant around the holes you want a airtight seal. You can run the tubing though a hole on the side of the PVC pipe. 7.) Drill a small hole on the bottom center of Glass jar with tungsten carbide bit. You’ll be attaching a small container to store the E-liquid. 8.) Find a suitable base (plywood, plastic, metal, etc.) to bolt to the other end cap to use as a base/stand. Then apply end cap with glue after you run all your tubes + wires for Soldering Iron. 9.) Run Hi-temp tubing through hole in bottom of jar; make sure it’s air tight with sealant. Then run tube to bottom of E-liquid container. 10.) Screw on Glass jar to lid & make sure high –temp hose runs to bottom of the brass or SS pipe nut. Also make sure everything is airtight. Only pathway for air should be the tubes. 11.) Add e-fluid to E-fluid container, adjust temperature to desired level slowly… allowing it to warm up (will take a few minutes) … then vape away. Adjusting control will take some getting use to… You add control to the side of PVC pipe if you want; Paint the PVC pipe, etc. I won’t get too detailed in the possible variations but you get the idea

You should be able to drill/burn/cut through the plastic without much issue. Just need to be carefull how you add the switch... May want to use soft rubber washer & be light on the torque. Just about any switch will work, depending on the size. You can even find switches with LEDs. A good place for a small tactile switch might be where the key chuck was... might take some finesse to get it placed. It looks like it would be a good hold & easy on the hands.

If you do use tape, I suggest on putting the fitting a pinch lower then what you have it in the photo. It should be in the area where the shaft was held into place. You have it very close.. that's why I say only a pinch. Wrap plenty of tape around the atty so you can "smash" the enclosure on it... If you get too much so you can't smash it.. remove a little of the excess at a time. It will also help to make sure you have a atomizer + cartridge attached so you can line things up... When your done you should be able to pull tightly on the atomizer without it moving... it should be rock solid & not budge at all. You may also want to add a push button switch & use the rocker as master.(for safety reasons) Beyond that it's personal preference.... LED's, etc. I removed the OEM stickers, you can use a label remover. Liquid is preferred as it is plastic, but a heat gun should work too. Other then that this design is about as simple as you can get.

I took the liberty of starting a new thread with the same name that's in the other forum. I didn't really make any changes other then the 510 info.. You can add your comments & video like you did in the other forum.

Homemade dremel vaporizer - Easy MOD for beginners + 510 smooth smoke info IMAGE IS AT : http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/6375/dremelvapor.jpg Let me start by introducing myself... My name is ZeroNullity, I’ve been an e-smoker for awhile and a “former” smoker much longer. I’m also a Electronic Engineer & Unix Computer Administrator . I thought I would share this easy mod with everyone. The good thing about this mod is you don’t have to do any modifications to the housing just unscrew it put your atty & wiring in. I currently have it hooked up to a power supply so that I can plug it into any 110v~ outlet. However there is plenty of room in the case if you want to add a rechargeable battery & charging circuit …. If you have soldering experience it takes less then 10 minutes to make one of these. Required Materials: 1.Cheap dremel knockoff – ones found in cheap silver/metal cases. You can find them in many different colors I just happen to have a blue one on hand. 2.Dead battery from your favorite e-cig. You’ll be using this for the atty fitting. I use a 510. But any atomizer battery fitting should work. 3.Power source – Wall wart (output rated at 4w-5w), Variable Power Supply, Battery/Charging circuit or USB Circuit (with heavy protection circuit) depending your personal preference of power. 4.Good atty, cartridge, & e-liquid. 5.Tools – screwdriver, soldering iron + solder, and masking tape is all you need. Procedure: 1.Take apart cheap dremel knockoff casing. Remove motor, shaft, and key chuck. 2.Wire your atty & power circuit into place. I won’t get too detailed here… because it will depend on your needs. If you want to use a power supply like I do (variable power supply to adjust the heat of the atomizer) or maybe you want to use a battery, etc. You may need to add some masking tape around the atomizer fitting so it will stay in place when you screw the housing back together depending on the size of your fittings. Don’t use electrical tape as it will slip when heated up. There is even a extra hole to put a led/switch were the key chuck use to be. If you need any help on this stage with wiring/soldering just let me know. 3.Assemble & use. Power info on the Joye 510 Atomizer The heating elements on these units are rated about 4-5 watts.(based on vaping) 4 watts is perfect very smooth smoke…. Or if you want a massive amount of smoke you can go around 5 watts. (be warned it uses more liquid, but will produce more smoke) Please note I use wattage to describe the heating element. I see too many people using only voltage… when they should using power/wattage to describe the power source /destination. If you use a different atomizer your wattage requirements may very.. As each atomizer uses a different resistance wire for the heating element. When I get time I’ll post some more of my modifications up. I’ve done many experiments with lasers, ultrasonic, microwaves, & homebuilt heating elements. I’m currently working on a vapor king monster similar to a herb vaporizer with a long lasting heating element for home use. For wattage/power calculations - multiple voltage by amperage. For example 5 volts @ 800ma 5 x .800 = 4 watts 5 volts @ 1000ma 5 x 1.000 = 5 watts 12 volts @ 350ma 12 x 0.350 = 4.2 watts 12 volts @ 400ma 12 x 0.400 = 4.8 watts

It's hard to say without actually being you.. E-liquid will dry out the throat as it's a anhydrous liquid for the most part. As Christopher stated nicotine can give a numbing feeling to certain users.. However it's proprieties aren't really that of a anesthetic. Usually the effects of nicotine are tingling sensations or even muscle aches when applied topically, nicotine has more psychoactive effects then any thing else. More then likely your experiencing the effects of PG rather then nicotine... I would suggest drinking a beverage while vaping to see if that helps or moving to a different e-liquid base. It would be more concerning if you experienced numbness of other parts of your body as this could be signs of a nicotine overdose. To be completely honest we haven't done long term studies of inhaling most of these chemicals... even though they are considered to be overall safe by the FDA.(provided you don't get a tainted product)

Its hard to say what your experiencing without being you.. However vapor is usually much smoother then smoke.. Things that can make it harsh.. are vaping too much and letting your element overheat... The small wick in these units can't keep up with some of us heavy e-smokers.. What helps is keeping your cartridge topped off & full. Taking small breaks in between puffs can help. If it's always like this even on the first puff.. you may have to get use to it.. However what you might be experiencing is some thing burning in the heating element that shouldn't be like the wick, polyfil, etc..

It's hard to say based on your own personal taste. There might be a few liquids that tone it down a pinch... but either you get use to it or you don't. And yes most glycols taste & smell naturally sweet even the lethal ones.(which most glycols are)

Yes if it's too strong you can dilute it, and you should use bottles of e-liquid not filled cartridges. Just make sure you mix well & don't spill any on your skin... As nicotine can be adsorbed through your skin & in high dosages be fatal. A small amount probably won't hurt you... But you sure wouldn't want to take a bath in several milliliters worth of e-liquid at once =) just use caution as you would with any dangerous substance. And keep it away from children.

New to this forum, but not to "vaping".
