I'm posting this here because I figure it's a noob question. I probably already know the answer, but wanted to make sure the logic in my head makes sense. And yes, it's about mixing, but I can't get to that forum yet As I posted on the general board, I got a 30 ml bottle of Dekang vanilla, 18mg, most likely 80PG/20VG or 100% PG. 30ml is a lot of juice, considering I seem to be having a hard time with the 18mg. I find myself having to be very conscious of how much I'm vaping or I find myself getting feeling pretty crappy, which I don't want to do. I just want to be able to vape away and enjoy. So, I'm thinking of getting a bottle of Zero Nicotine vanilla in a high VG base. If I fill my clearomizer halfway with the 18 mg Dekang, and the other half with 0mg nic, theoretically that should make the nic concentration of what's in my clearo 9mg, right? Does that make sense to someone besides me? lol I know clearomizers aren't known to do well with a high percentage of VG, but I've been vaping 50/50 with the exception of what I picked up this weekend and I really like it. I'm finding that I don't really like the throat hit I'm getting with my Dekang juice and I'm willing to clean and replace my clearo's more often if needed. Any insight from some veterans would be greatly appreciated.

So I finally got around to watching this week's episode of Tosh.0 I don't think I will ever again watch a video that he posts to his twitter but doesn't air on the show lol. "The Biggest Horse Butt Pimple" just may be the most disgusting thing I've ever seen... and I used to work in hospital lab and a pathology lab. *shivers* Nasty! My boss only asked that I be discreet about it if I want to vape inside at work. I'm a public employee and I sit at a desk that has a window to the public. He didn't think it would look very professional if I was sitting there puffing clouds of vapor while people were standing there asking for help. Some people have no sense of humor!

Just a little update.... I have discovered (for me anyway) that vaping 18mg nicotine all day and then having an extra cup of coffee or a Mountain Dew in the afternoon while still vaping is not a good idea for me lol. Yesterday afternoon I had a Mtn Dew and was pretty active, cleaning the house and such, vaping here and there, and I got that tingly feeling again, hot flashes, overall just not good. Same thing happened today after a Mtn Dew. I do remember last week I had an extra coffee in the afternoon so I could keep up with my rugrats and all their running around. So, I think the extra caffeine, plus the stimulant properties of nicotine is just too much for me. But, at least now I know. I seem to do fine with my usual amount of coffee in the morning, since at that time I've gone a while without vaping because I've been sleeping. Live and learn I guess! Bummer I have to give up another vice though, love my occasional Mtn Dew! We'll see what happens when my 12mg comes in next week.

Thanks for the idea kitsune. The vanilla really doesn't have much flavor, so I just might try it. I do kinda like the chocolate. It's nice and mellow -really does taste kind of like a tootsie roll. I got my shipping notice from the vapor room so I should have my order by Thursday.

Well, I'm back. The bottles don't say whether it's PG or VG or a mix. I can tell you it's very watery, so that leads me to believe it's either 100% PG or at least a large percentage of it. Got in the car, emptied the orange cream out of my clearo into a napkin and started vaping the vanilla on the way home. Haven't really been able to taste it but I'm going to clean out my spare clearo and try it in that. I also bought a 10 ml bottle of chocolate... smells like a tootsie roll. The experience itself was funny as hell lol. They keep the e-juice in the "18 and over only" room... you know, with the smoking accessories that are 'meant for tobacco use only.' So, they card me as soon as I walk in. The room is packed so I find myself waiting for a spot to open up at the counter... standing there between a giant rack of ...ehem, adult toys, on one side and a rack of several flavored 'things' on the other lol. I'm not a prude, but I do blush pretty easy. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get my juice and get out of there lol.

Just got off the phone with the shop. He said the high is 18mg (which is what I'm vaping now) and the low is 11mg. He couldn't tell me whether it was PG or VG though. He seems to know a little about vaping, but not like the fine people here Think I'm going for a ride today It's a little expensive, but I figure the $20 or so I'm gonna spend on juice is still cheaper than buying analogs for the next week until my order comes in. Not to mention it's worth it for me to avoid the step backwards in my whole quit smoking thing.

I've discovered I'm not really loving vaping the fruity flavors I've bought so far. They're ok, but just, meh. So last night I was desperate to find somewhere around me that sold the stuff so I could get some creamy, sweet stuff (that'll teach me to place an order before a holiday weekend). Then it hit me.... the head shops!!! There's one here in my town. I called this morning and he said he unfortunately had to stop carrying the stuff because the demand in the area wasn't high enough to make carrying e cig supplies cost effective for him.... bummer. That's me... always late to the party lol. Google to the rescue. There's another head shop about 45 minutes south of me. They carry Dekang juice, but what I don't like is there is really no customization. Their liquids are either 100% PG or 100% VG. The VG only comes in "high" nic strength. The PG comes in "high" or "Low" but only certain bottle sizes are available at the different strengths. They also don't specify what mg's "High" and "low" are. I'm gonna give them a call to find out what the story is before I brave all the dang leaf peepers and drive down there and cross my fingers that whoever is working the shop today actually knows what they're talking about. Gotta get my vanilla fix lol. Another thing that bothered my was their website was saying that VG offers more throat hit than PG... I thought it was the other way around? The fruity stuff is ok when I first start vaping for the day, but by the end of the day my mouth is just kinda irritated and blech lol. All of my juice is a 50/50 blend, so I'm thinking there's something in the fruit flavoring itself that doesn't agree with me. I'll just keep slugging down water I guess. I was soooo close to going to the store to buy a pack of analogs last night. Then I remembered that since I started vaping, I can't stand the smell. Probably won't like the taste very much either. I tried it again with no weirdness. Maybe it was like you said tameiki... detox lol. Or, I didn't drink enough water, or I had too much caffeine, or not enough to eat that day. There are a million different variables but for now, things are back to normal. Just had me a little panicked there for a minute!

Anyone else experience a difference in how juice from different vendors affects you? The stuff I originally ordered from the same vendor I got my start up kit from was good... I felt the nicotine after vaping a while but nothing alarming. I've been vaping a juice from a different vendor, same nic strength, same pg/vg ratio, and I just feel so dang loopy! (hence, the "I feel tingly" post last night... sorry jeffb lol). I didn't vape any more than usual but man, I swear, my scalp was tingling. It didn't last long, maybe an hour or so, but it was enough so that I noticed it. But, earlier in the week I was vaping off a bottle of another flavor from that same vendor with no weird side effects whatsoever. When you mix juice of a certain strength nicotine, does the nicotine come in that specific strenghth? Or is all liquid nicotine one strength and gets diluted down due to flavor mixing? Just curious.

Just wondering if there is a difference in the amount of vapor you get in a standard resistance clearomizer vs. a low resistance clearomizer? Or does that not really have anything to do with vapor production? I'm finding I get a very satisfying amount of vapor from the clearomizer that came with my CE4 starter kit. I ordered an extra clearomizer (chose standard resistance) and I don't seem to get a lot of vapor from that one. Or maybe there's something wrong with it? Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. Pay day is friday and I'm ordering some more stuff lol

Welcome Bruce! I had the same problem when I first started (a whole two weeks ago). I would cough if I took a slow draw like everyone recommends. I guess maybe it takes some practice or getting used to? I'm now able to draw nice and slow without coughing my hit. I find myself sitting here almost chain vaping because I like watching the cloud. One thing I did notice is that my fruity flavors are a little harder for me to inhale at first than my sweet, creamy flavors (like vanilla and mocha). Not sure what I can tell you that will help as I'm still new at this myself, other than that I've been there and it does get better.

I was helping my daughter with her essay about Susan B. Anthony tonight and we both needed a break and a bit of a laugh. My memory decided to cooperate tonight... I just KNEW there was a School House Rock song about sufferage. Youtube to the rescue! God, I miss the good cartoons and things like school house rock. Thank god for the internet, because I really feel like my kids are missing out when all that's available on Saturday mornings is crap like "Regular Show" and "Annoying Orange." Oh, and lets not forget "Adventure Time." The cartoons really suck nowadays. To make matters worse, my cable provider did away with Boomerang. At least they used to air old Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry. I loved those when I was a kid! What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon? Anyone remember School House Rock? Well, either way, my juice from sweet vapes came in today and let me just say... damn! So far I've tried the Orange Cream... yummy and kind of refreshing actually. Right now though I'm vaping the Starbuckets Mocha like it's my job. Soooo good! I'll probably be all tweaked out later from a massive nicotine rush, but I just can't seem to help myself lol.

I've been reading some great reviews about TVR's liquids, so that is where I'm planning to make my next order. Their website talks about steeping so you get better flavor. Is this true with all liquids, no matter where you order from? And how long should you let it steep? With shipping, it usually takes about a week for stuff to get to me, so is the shipping time long enough? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Just got over a cold that I came down with the same day I started vaping. I have two kids in school and they bring home every bug imaginable (which is how I caught this one... DD had a doozy of a cold before I got sick). I am anxious to see how vaping vs. smoking affects my health in the coming winter months. When I was smoking I was usually good for at least one cold a year, sometimes two. This cold seemed to hit me really suddenly, then disappear just as suddenly. Sick for 4 days, felt great on the fifth (vaping the whole time). I found 4 Airborne tablets hiding in the back of the medicine cabinet that I started taking on day 3. Which makes the whole theory on nicotine consumption and vitamin absorption all the more interesting to me. Was I better able to absorb the extra vitamins in the Airborne because I was consuming less nic and other toxins? I wonder if there's a study somewhere that addresses this. Now you've got me curious and I'll be googling all day like a mad woman lol. Either way, hope you feel better soon Saboteur!

I only have two flavors right now... grape and vanilla. I usually clean my clearomizer when I switch from the vanilla to the grape because the vanilla is a dark liquid and seems thicker than the grape. So, this morning I was cleaning the clearomizer before I made the switch. It worked like it should the next few times, but as the day goes on I keep noticing a plasticy, somewhat burnt taste. My question is this.... is dry burning really bad for them? I found a couple other videos on cleaning clearo's and they all said to dry burn after you're done draining the water. Should I just let it dry on it's own?

They're very narrow and have that pointed end so it works great. I've only been vaping for less than a week so I won't try to answer your other questions.The people here are great though... they've been very helpful to me!
