  1. DUDE....I NEED ONE OF THOSE!!!!!
  2. Keep in mind though that nicotine by itself is only about as addictive as caffeine. However a cigarette has over 200 addictive compounds in it so initially we vape more to get the same effect. Just my. 02... :-)
  3. Well I've been vaping High Caliber for two years and I'm still here.. LOL
  4. For the price it's worth it. No problems with the threading at all and the flashing light is a protective measure.
  5. It all depends on your tastes. I prefer High Caliber liquid made in the USA. But, I like Dekangs 555 and Ry4 flavors better. The key is to experiment with different vendors and manufacturers to find what you like. If you're worried about safety than go with a US manufacturer like High Caliber that uses FDA approved ingredients. Even though the FDA doesn't "approve" of eliquid the ingredients are food grade so it might give you piece of mind.
  6. Is there another vendor who sells this unit in the US yet? I haven't found any.
  7. I bought one from the digital cig and I loved it at first. I wrote a review on here I believe and did a video. If you want a big battery ego that's durable and vapes great than get it. 20 bucks is worth it to try it. The digital cig is the only seller I found that includes a battery with it. But after going vari volt I almost never use it now. Lecig has a great price on a lava tube.
  8. You can't use ecigs in restaurants there? OK first thing... I smoked 1-1.5 packs/ day of Camel menthols so I started low (16mg nic) and increased until I found what worked (24 mg nic). It wasn't just the nic it was the feel of the hard throat hit. Also, as I increased the nic I use it less. I puff it three or four times and put it back in my pocket. I do this more often than I would light up but it works out to be less puffing. Just a thought... Now on to the restaurant thing. Have you asked and explained what it is. The reason I ask is because I had a similar experience so the next time I went to the place I asked. The waitress got the manager and he came over and asked about 100 questions about it. Ever since then wherever I go I ask and 9/10 times it's not a problem. I usually get people asking about it and commenting about how good it smells and at least one asking where they can get a good one... not the gas station garbage LOL. Just my. 02 on your post. Good luck and great job on cutting way back on analogs.
  9. OK, I just talked to Tim @ thedigitalcig.com about the switch issue. He offered to replace it. But I haven't had a problem in a day and a half now so we agreed that I should keep using it for a week or so and see how it goes, he offers a 28 day warranty on it. This isn't just a switch, it's a module packed with microchips and circuits and stuff so it may have needed to "program" after the initial charge and first few uses. I'll keep you posted.
  10. OK, first the boring stuff. I know I'll end up repeating some of these in the review but this is just a quick list of the specs. Capacity: 2200mAh Battery: 18650, 2200mah Li-ion (65mm) Output voltage: 3.3V (4.15V-3.6V in selected mode) Tube length: 4.46in Tube diameter: 0.90in Variable voltage mode: 3.6V ~ 4.15 Compatible: Joye 510/T atomizers, Joye eGo/T/C atomizers, 510/eGo cartomizers Standard Ego charger or 18650 charger Switch: Click 5 times to turn the unit on/off, with the unit OFF hold the button for 6 seconds or so to change between regulated voltage (bluish white light) or variable voltage discharge (orange light) Now, onto the good stuff... My first impressions I placed my order through thedigitalcig.com. Awesome prices and smoking fast shipping. Before I start I want to say that this is my first big battery mod so I have nothing to compare it to making this a true review of only this product with no bias to anything similar. I immediately opened it and screwed it into my standard Ego charger. It took around 4 hours to turn the light green indicating a full charge. I put on my Vivi Nova tank loaded with a 1.8 ohm head and filled with High Caliber Killa Vanilla 50/50 with my kick a-- tip attached. I turned it on with 5 quick clicks of the button, it glows a bluish white to indicate regulated voltage mode. The button has a nice, solid click feel. My first hit on regulated voltage was nice to say the least. Great flavor with a warm, smooth throat hit. Exactly what you would expect from a 3.3v and low res head. Joyetech claims up to 96 hrs. of vaping in this mode. After a few hits to ensure consistency I switched over to variable voltage. In this mode it starts out around 4.15v and slowly drops down to 3.6v as the battery discharges. It delivers what you would expect going from 3.3v to 4.15v, a much warmer and stronger throat hit with much stronger flavor. I prefer v v mode but it will discharge the battery faster than in regulated mode... Higher voltage= harder power draw for those of you who were wondering why. Both the top and bottom unscrew so you replace either one. Now the cons well con because there is only one design flaw that I noticed. The vent hole is on the bottom of the unit but the vents are on the top of the battery... I found this odd. On another note I think I received a defective switch, the switch will flash 5 or 6 times at random and continue to do this everytime I press the button. Most of the time it starts working again on it's own after a few cycles like this but sometimes I need to unscrew the top to "reset" it to get it working again. I contacted the seller and will post my results when I hear back from them. I've only been using it two days and so far I love it. It's a decent size and has a bit of weight to it but is still comfortable in the hand. Because of the extra heft I was glad that I got it in the black finish. It's the typical Ego black that has the rubberized feel to it which I really like, it gives a little more confidence when holding it. It comes in many colors and if you find the right seller you can get it with a battery for 25-30 bucks. If you don't need another battery than you can find it for around 20. All in all it's a great, inexpensive way to start the transition to big battery mods. I think that veteran MOD vapers will use the control module (switch) on their own homemade mods because of the ability to switch voltage modes back and forth and the on/off function.
  11. How do you think these batteries would hold up in the new Ego-T 18650 MOD?
  12. I love these, although there are many mixed reviews it all comes down to preference... and I prefer these over anything else I've ever used and I've used many different combos. These are simple, cheap and the new rebuildable models are even easier on the wallet. The taste is comparable to dripping but without the hassle of having to drip. These get 5 stars across the board from me.
  13. Hello, like it says I'm new to the forum but I've been vaping almost three years. I was looking for a new place to chat, share and read/post some reviews and this seemed like the place to be. For on the go vaping I use a Riva battery with a CE4 Visioon that I use a Vivi NOVA tank with a 1.8 head. My juice of choice is High Caliber Killa Vanilla @ 24mg. I used to use a Boge Leo at home but for one reason or another it stopped working when I attached a 510 adapter to use the tank at home. I'll tell that story in another review LOL. That's about it for now I guess I look forward to meeting and chatting with like minded people.
