Thanks for the recommendations folks. I will get my max from Arno today and followup with the BE112s as well. Can't have too much stock, right? I really do want to get this going reliably, and appreciate the help. So the attys that came with my VP2 are high bridge, eh? I thought that must be the case as I can see that the wick is much taller, but wasn't ready to believe that for sure. Thanks for the clarification.

That's excellent, thank you! I've saved it to share with HR at my employment when the topic inevitably comes up. I vape openly at my desk and have had quite a bit of interest from others around me. All comments have been positive; everyone knows how hard I've tried to quit smoking over the years, and I'm happy to report that my success has met with great enthusiasm (particularly from my boss ).

N.j. Assembly Committee Approves E-Cigarette Ban
ddavelarsen replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
Age limits yes, but banning from work and public places shows they have not really done their homework. I think keenan's cynicism is well placed. -
Greetings; this is certainly a newbie question! I have only two types of attys. The "good" ones came with my VP2 from Jeso; the "others" are LB 801s (4072?) purchased from myPVshop.com. For both atomizers I've tried both direct dripping and using carts. I cleaned both attys by boiling in tap water yesterday, after about 1 week each of use. I have washed the poly fill in my carts under hot tap water a few times and am re-using those for now. They seem to be doing fine. It's easy to flood the 801s/4072s direct dripping but I have sort of figured out how much juice they'll take; that's about 2-3 drops. After a couple of hits I start getting an ugly burnt taste. Re-dripping sometimes fixes that. But I no longer get huge plumes of vapor, and really cannot taste the flavor of my preferred 555 juice. Using a cart topped off every couple of hits seems to get decent vapor but again I've lost the flavor. The attys that came with my VP2 have always done well with the carts, not so well direct dripping. If I fill the cart and then top it off every few hits it seems to work well for me. I've gotten the flavor back after cleaning. So my question is, did I get flaky 801s from myPVshop? I just don't know how to tell, and don't really know what I got from Jeso. But I like those. I'm going to be ordering more LB 801s today or tomorrow and would appreciate recommendations on what and where to purchase. BE112 from Best Ecig seems highly recommended but I kind of want to give my first business to Arno. Haven't checked to see if he's sold out already but if not, are his LB 801s comparable? You see that I'm wholly ignorant on these matters. Thanks for any help.

Hm. I'm a major nicotine addict. I smoked 25+ Pall Mall non filters a day, which wasn't enough but all my poor old lungs could manage. But I don't think I'm a heavy vaper - I use about 2.5 ml a day of 48mg juice. Probably the nic concentration has a lot to do with the volume of juice I'm using; 36mg just would not cut it and I vaped constantly at that level. And since you folks mentioned it, I'm vaping and enjoying coffee as we speak. For what it's worth though, I don't drink as much coffee as I used to either. I wish that would translate to "eat."

Who Makes Those Cool Custom Batt Cases?
ddavelarsen replied to ddavelarsen's topic in General Vaping Discussion
For those who haven't seen it yet and would like to, here's the link: Doctor Vapor's Chuck Review -
Great review Doc, thanks! This will probably be my next unit (after VP PT I guess ). I really think I'll like the 6V option. Going to have to start thinking about custom graphics. Hm... You're right, you just can't have too many excellent vaping devices! I'm going to need a new storage method though -- and sooner than later.

Vapor Talk Has Now Gone Face Book!
ddavelarsen replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Hi Gazoo; Will you share how that works? I'm an utter newbie at Facebook and cannot successfully figure out the simplest things... But that brings up a question I guess. What's the benefit of synching accounts? Thanks! -

Hey thanks Brian, I'll check it out! -
+1 on that! While I'm emphatically not in favor of ever more regulation, given that many people substitute the law for common sense and an ethical system, it might make a perverted sort of sense to just spell it out for them. Like I mentioned somewhere else here today, I never drip and drive, and I keep my eyes peeled for all of nana's not-quite-the-sharpest-tack people. The roads are full of what I call NDAs... (Non-Drivin A-H**es) But I'd hate to call attention to vaping generally in such a negative way. Vaping is a godsend for me, a life saver. I want to see it shine in the public eye. Let's just hope all vapers have the sense to fill carts or find some other way to vape when they can't pull aside to drip. We sure don't need any accidents caused by vaping. This is actually a problem for me; my commute is longer than dripping once can cover. This would be a great reason to get an auto-drip system developed. I'll be first in line for one!

Vapor Talk Has Now Gone Face Book!

Way to go Christopher! The only thing is, it's hard to parse VT usernames to actual names in Facebook. -
Not to get too off topic, but -- Amen!

What a riot! Smoking Man and Travis (and mcquinn, you had the right idea), thanks for being the grammar police; saved me having to be the hard guy.

Who Makes Those Cool Custom Batt Cases?

That's the guy, thanks a million Travis! -
If anyone can help me it's you folks. There's a guy who makes battery cases with cool custom art on them, but for the life of me I cannot remember his name, nor can I devise a Google search that gets me there. Seems like he lives in Louisiana or Alabama? When I first saw his site I was just too new to realize I needed to bookmark it. Any ideas appreciated! Thanks.

I love this forum! My saying about this is that if it weren't for diversity we'd still be living in caves, waiting for lightening to strike somewhere so we could cook the carrion we'd found. People seeing things from a different perspective is what makes progress. Going to have to try the spring mod. I've tried dripping and driving and that just flat freaks me out. I don't like taking my attention off all the dumb-a**'s on the road for a second! I like my life. And every commute is long enough I need a refill. As to politics, I gotta just stir things up a minute. I subscribe to the best of both worlds: Fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I believe in capitalism and carry concealed, and think we need to let everyone live his or her life her own way. One of the strongest human traits, one of the things that has allowed us to flourish, is our willingness to take care of one another when in need. Live and let live, that's my way. But have you ever noticed that it's the differences between people that we focus on, rather than our points of agreement? That's why I don't get angry either. I dig diversity; it's a good thing. If everyone agreed with me I'd never have learned anything! Not that I'm going to agree with you.

Hi nana. I wonder if there's a technique issue here. I say that because until today I have been very dissatisfied with the LB 801s I have. But I'm starting to get better performance. I found that I'm quite likely to flood it, for one thing. Just two or three drops on the cart is what seems to work best for me. I get two or three good hits off of that, and they are quite pleasing. Because I'm using washed batting (stuffing, whatever you guys call it) I've had some futzing around to do, but it seems to have settled in nicely. I like it. That being said, I've never tried a 510 so maybe I don't know what I'm missing.

This Ones Gonna Take A While...
ddavelarsen replied to Travis798's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Searching for vaping nirvana - no kidding! We're all searching for nirvana in one way or the other, eh? Congratulations on cutting the analogs to drastically, that does feel good. Cheaper too, once you find the right juice. At least, that's the excuse I'm going with for a while. I believe the double-strength juice is intended to use either way, for mixing or vaping straight up. I'm going to try it straight up my self, and may decide to cut it down if it's too heavy. But frankly, nothing has had all that much punch for me so far -- probably because I'm still pretty deadened from smoking so much for so long... -
For sure, it is a mystery. I'm learning though - realized I have to decide right now whether to change my battery or just to to bed...

This Ones Gonna Take A While...
ddavelarsen replied to Travis798's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I apologize for continually adding posts to this! I meant to reply to Travis' original comment too. I haven't spent a great deal yet but I can see that happening -- I keep learning of things that sound like they could take my vaping experience to the next level of satisfaction. I think my next equipment purchase will be one or two VP PTs. If I'm feeling really extravagant, I'll get one for home and one for work so I don't have to carry the one around. Could always spread those purchases out. But then there's the whole stockpiling issue too. I really need to find some good LB 801s. The first ones I got are not very good but I'm not sure where to go for really reliable ones. I do hate throwing away money. Anyway Travis, good on you for helping others make the switch! Gold star day for you man. -

Just a note to add, I've gotten the 48mg juice from myfreedomsmokes.com. I've had superior service from Chris - superfast shipping, excellent and tasty juice, occasional upgrade -- I'm a permanent customer. He has some flavors in double strength, which I'm going to try soon too. -

Yeah, it was the 48mg that let me get off the analogs. That's too bad, sort of, because I'd love to try Dulcis and Midnight... But I digress. I'm hoping to move down to 36mg one of these days but still learning how to use this thing to its best effect. Anyway, 48mg did the trick for me and I could not be happier! The couple times I've thought about an analog were when I just needed a fresh battery. Once I figured that out the world was a rosy place again. -
Yay! I'm not crazy or unique in a weird way! Well I might be, but at least not in this way. Thanks SmokingMan.

Thanks for the info. It'll be exceptionally interesting to see the insides of the VP2!

Fine minds think alike I guess. I have started draining attys overnight - don't know why except it just seemed like they get overloaded. And it helps a great deal. I do still get too much juice in there once in a while.
