LOL! You're right of course, it is kind of a magic/juggling act to get it into a new bottle before that happens. It's just that the images your comment conjured up made me laugh. Thanks!

Sigh. You're breaking my heart man. I wish they made this stuff in a strength I could use. But I'm sure happy for you!

Wow. So they went from spamming cell phones to distributing e-cigs. Those guys are serious risk takers! I wish them well in the new venture but man I'm concerned the FDA is gonna step all over their new line of endeavor too. Hopefully they'll be able to weather the storm and come out the other side in bright light. I'm going to watch these guys too, thanks for the heads up.

Thanks all! It's hard to convey how hardcore a smoker I was, but it pretty much defined me. My nicotine intake would probably have killed a horse. And honestly - I'm not exagerating - it wasn't enough to satisfy my crazy addiction. I wanted to smoke a lot more than I did, I just physically could not do it. Whew. And here I am, vaping a much lower amount of nicotine (even at the freaky high level I am, it's a big reduction in my nicotine intake) and getting along just fine. I was really surprised when I realized I hadn't been craving those morning smokes. (But Oh what an awful feeling I had those mornings I wasn't yet awake enough to remember where I'd left my e-cig! Yikes! )

Nana I've had the same thought about extending higher-nic juice by cutting to a lower dose. Unfortunately, I vape the hi-test as it is; I'd have to do a lot of cutting down to make that work. I've also been buying double-flavored juice with cutting in mind. And I've been considering buying a big bottle of the DIY 100mg stuff, and will probably work that in soon if I can. We're talking hundreds of dollars though, which will take a while for me to save up for. I'll at least get some though. I'm pretty much plowing all of my former analog money into juice and attys. Some day I'll get to take a purchasing vacation! But not for a few months.

Man I'm jealous! Hmm. I think I have your address... Hmm.

Wow, thanks folks, that's what I needed to know and learned what to use with my VP PT when I get it. What a bonus!

My brother sent this link for a decent price on LB 801s. I just wonder if anyone has experience with these? The ones I got from Arno are great, and attys are on my next list. Just looking at possibilities. I'm not as much a bargain hunter as I am loyal, so the small price difference isn't a huge driver. DSE 801 from My Vapor Store Thanks for any info.

See, God Does Pay Attention !
ddavelarsen replied to keenan's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
My sentiments exactly. Of course, owning enough heroin to attract such an attacker is not exactly a survial trait either. Even so, I feel bad for the family. -
Oh, wow. I felt like I was in that man's shoes. That's a wonderful story, and he's going to have a very special connection to his child forever. Thanks Brian.

Looking For Vapers In Los Angeles Area!
ddavelarsen replied to fatalis's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Man you folks are lucky! I've never observed anyone else vaping, anywhere. I put a note on Craigslist locally a couple times, never gotten any contacts. I don't think people in Iowa are very forward-thinking. It'd be great to meet a bunch of other vapers to share experiences and flavors. -
That has all kinds of interesting implications. Who'd they buy?
-
Whew! You mean I'm not the only one standing empty bottles on their caps trying to get that last drop to collect at the tip? And then keeping the empties in some vain hope I'll someday figure out how to get that last little film off the inside? Man LordVape, that is one sad picture -- good thing Christopher and our other fantastic suppliers are on the ball. I have about 180 ml of juice stashed, shooting for 1,500. But I keep using it up! Dang.
-
Agreed! That's valuable info mcquinn, thanks very much. One of the reasons I've been so strong on my 801s is the 'whistle tip.' My first unit had a round mouthpiece and I found that driving I was always pinching my lip between the mouthpiece and my teeth, or jamming it against my gums when I hit a bump. I can hold the thin tip of the 801 between my teeth and avoid the pain. But if 901 carts will work in a 510, that puts me a bit closer to trying it out. Thanks! Always adding stuff to my shopping list... By the way, Welcome khountrygirl! You've found a good place.

That's all good advice. It's true that this stuff has a finite life, and that stocking up is essential since it all has to generally be delivered via the mail rather than picked up locally. There's just one more consideration that is important to me, so I'll share it since the expected life of attys factors in. This is the possibility that all of our supplies might be cut off at any time by actions of the FDA. Personally I'm working diligently to set aside at least a one-year supply of everything; once I get that I'll probably go for a two year supply. I fully expect that soon regulation is going to kick in, and that will be preceded by a period of totally unavailability of all supplies while the govt sorts out how to control and tax our lifestyle. I'm generally pretty risk-averse. The thought of having to go back to analogs, with their horrible health effects, expense and filth, makes me very unhappy. I hope to be able to weather the down time reasonably comfortably. Since attys and purpose-built batteries have finite lives, that means stocking up. Just my .02.

Welcome Esmoker! It's always a pleasure to meet new forum members. Unlike everyone else in your thread, I don't have any experience with the 510 so I can't speak to it. I can say that the 801 is a larger diameter than the 510, which for me means more juice capacity. That's less important to me since I've taken up the "drip, vape, repeat" mode though. From what everyone else has always said I have no reason to think the 801 produces more vapor than the 510. "More vapor" is my driving interest, which in some way - right or not - I equate with "greater throat hit" which is also a primary interest for me. It doesn't sound like throat hit is your concern though. I use a VP2 with low bridge 801 attys, and I'm completely happy. I get 8-9 hrs battery life and I'm a very heavy vaper. Less vaping would naturally extend battery life. The VP2 is a hardy unit; I expect that I'll be using the same one years from now. That was good money well spent. Your choice of atomizer is going to be a very personal thing. From what you've said I believe the 510 is going to give you the most happiness. I'm going to have to give it a try myself one day soon. Good luck with your purchase and welcome to Vapor Talk. This is a good place.

For a long time after I got off the analogs I still would have preferred one over vaping - when I woke up for example, or after a meal. It was a pretty powerful feeling, one that made me wonder sometimes whether I was really going to get off the smokes over the long term. Well, good news. I just realized - hadn't thought about it or noticed it before - that I've awakened with vaping rather than smoking on my mind, and don't even miss the after-meal smokes anymore. That's really something coming from me; kind of freaks me out, like I've abandoned an old friend. But of course, it was just a habit - not a friend. One I no longer miss. Yee-HAW! I feel better every day.

Thank you!

New Mods Out - The Gg Line From Vapor Kings
ddavelarsen replied to Wolf's topic in General Vaping Discussion
For a lifetime purchase the price seems reasonable to me. But I don't like the button placement; that's a deal killer. I expect my VP2 will last many years anyway, so I'm not too bothered if I don't get the ultimate machine right away. But whatever I'm using has to be good enough to last several years, or some day when we're not allowed to buy them anymore, I won't have any way to vape... -
Fatalis really got me thinking about plastic bottles since I'm thinking longterm storage. Plastic certainly is okay for everyday small quantity use, but I don't want a bunch of nasty chemicals leeching into my juice over time. I'm working to build up a minumum of one year supply of juice, ideally longer. Then I'll start rotating the stuff out until the FDA cuts us off. But I'm storing everything in glass now.

Cripes, we haven't figured that out yet. Certainly no partying, we're just getting too danged old to hang. Probably DVDs with friends. (Problem with that of course is my taste in movies. Everybody else likes stupid boring movies. But not me. I like interesting movies. Like Sukiyaki Western Django. But try getting a normal person to watch that! Ain't happening. Sigh.) Maybe I can get our middle-aged suburban friends to watch Watchmen.* You think? Sigh. I waited 20 years for someoneto make Watchmen (literally), and when it came out I saw it half a dozen times in the theater and half a dozen more when the DVD came out (with like 30 minutes restored). Ah man, I'm in heaven when I get to see that movie. No one's ever done a comic book better than Snyder made Watchmen. It's just stunning and beautiful and complete and perfect. (I don't care what the no-life fanboys say.) But do you think I know anyone else who gets it? Nope. Anyway, probably just a long night of good movies. *That is a rather clever pun, thank you, but it was completly accidental.

City Smokers Begin Turning To E-Cigarettes
ddavelarsen replied to BirdDog's topic in General Vape News
The comments are very good however; many well-informed and articulate vapers made excellent statements to counter the dimwit public mouthpiece. The downside of course, is that many of the article's readers might not read the comments. Let's hope that just one smoker does, and finds his(her) way here. Vape on! Thanks Bird Dog, great find. -
Yet another demonstration that we should remove attys when the unit's not in use. I never do that though. Let's hope I learn before I cause havoc in my own home, but honestly that's not my strong suit... I'm workin on it. Yikes man, I'm glad it worked out okay - for this atty at least.

Very interesting article. I'm kind of an anthropology nut, though my interest is more in the 40,000 - 10,000 BCE timeframe. Even so, I found this enlightening. Woman Dometicated Don't lynch me! JK!
