Yeah, I have access to liquid nitrogen for deep quenching blades, think -320 would do it? But in fact, I could just leave it on the front porch overnight; that's far colder than the freezer these days...

I've often hoped there was a way to preserve the stuff but pretty much the consensus of every conversation about that has been to store it at room temp in a dark place for its longest life. But you got me thinking. I might try freezing some just as an experiment to see if it has any effect. If not, that would be a bonus.

I'm with nana on this one dlynne. Don't give up yet! I don't know about anyone else but I'm the world's biggest wuss when it comes to the common cold. When Zyban was introduced, I jumped right on the bandwagon - and the stuff works! Truly. Unfortunately, it can also totally fry the olfactory nerve; something like 150 people have completely lost their sense of smell (and hence taste), permanently, from using the nasal gel. I think I may have had some of that effect, as I know I don't smell as well as I did even five years ago. That's a bummer, and it's why I'm so pleased to recover even some of that sense quitting analogs. And I have. You will too dlynne, just give it time.

I've noticed the reduced vapor and flavor with increased temp too. Since I haven't tried a 510 yet all I can say is that due to its greater mass, the 801 probably does dissipate heat better. I'm getting ready to try a 510 soon and will finally be able to earn an actual opinion on this issue.

I noticed that Arno does at least have 36mg juice. Way to go Arno! But I tried some 36 again this morning, thinking my source for the good stuff might peter out eventually, and -- Oh, No Freakin Way!!! Lame lame lame vapor, and within less than two minutes I needed to vape again. That's just not going to work. I'll ever stay off the analogs if all I can get is 36mg juice... This almost makes me think I'll just throw in the towel. For sure, if I ever can't get 48mg juice reliably, I'm done. I think the thing to do is find a whole bunch of 100mg juice for DIY, and start stocking that up as much as I can. Naturally I can't buy so much it'll go bad before I use it, but at least I'd be able to keep vaping for a while. This issue is really freaking me out. Sorry to get off topic! Back on topic, my brother did give me his 48mg 555 this morning, because he doesn't like it. I love it.

Ah, I hadn't thought about the button being depressed accidentally, that's a good failsafe. I had an experience where I laid a book on my passthrough at work, and it created quite a stir... Steam then smoke was pouring out like crazy until a coworker went to investigate and stopped it. I suppose you could learn to workaround the cutoff. I'll accept it has a possible good use. Thanks guys, that helps. This forum is exceptionally valuable to me.

Yeah, I like the look of the white one better. Maybe someone could disable the cutoff somehow. This is just a test of your conviction man, hang in there for the Joker! Or Maserati. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing that too. This is one of the hard parts about vaping - all the innovation going on makes me want to partake in everything... But I'm limited in what I can have too. Sigh.

That is the upside! I've noticed a lot of good aromas around me that I never noticed before. Coffee brewing is wonderful. Perfume has depths I hadn't noticed, and some is really good. I have to watch that, my wife wouldn't take kindly to me appreciating too much how another woman smelled. Food! Oh man, food can go both ways but mostly I find it good. Whenever I smell a smoker my reaction is embarrassment for what I imposed on others all those years. Glad I'm not doing that anymore!

Hm. Never been fond of the box shape myself, and the cutoff is an absolute deal killer for me. I don't understand why a cutoff is considered valuable in any way. There are a couple of plusses - it's a passthrough and batt unit in one, which is sweet; the size makes it easier to conceal in the hand if one feels concealment is warranted. I wish there'd been a photo of the white one!

That's exactly how I did it for a long time and it worked very well; but I finally just started direct dripping full time because it seems like less messing around to me. I always got a bit of the poly taste as some point along the line with the filler left in, and direct dripping I don't. I've even gotten pretty good at predicting when to drip before I get the 'empty' taste. All of the tips that come on the 302s that I've gotten were a hard plastic and eventually, removing them frequently they'd get loose and let air in around the former seal. So I now just use a cart I've pulled the poly out of and that works fine. The tip is soft, which is much more comfortable to hold between my teeth when I'm driving.

The only juice I've used is My Freedom Smokes, because they're the only supplier I can find with 48mg juice. I do like their 555, and I'm getting well stocked up on it. But I think they might be getting a little sketchy, which really blows because 36mg just will not cut it for me; I'd be back on analogs in two hours if I had to vape that. Sigh. I guess I'll just buy as much of the flavors I know I like as I can, and start trying to cut back to 36mg. But just thinking about that makes me want to go buy a carton of smokes... Anyway, their 555 is pretty good if you're willing to wait a week or so for them to ship it. (I tried their RY4, again the only RY4 I've tried, and absolutely do not like it at all. Not a good substitute for 555 in my limited experience.)

I've got a really tall Maduro cigar box to store my juice in. The 60ml bottles fit perfectly. My goal is to fill that baby with 60 ml bottles...

Hi Celtic! Yes, the 302 and 801 are the same size. The difference is in the height of the bridge inside, and to confuse matters more you can find 'low bridge' 801s that might or might not be 302s. Anyway, parts are interchangeable. I've done the pyramid tea bag mod in the 801, and it works okay. I ended up just direct dripping though because that seems to keep a fresher taste going than using a cart. If you want to try the tea bag mod in an 801, use the entire fabric, fold the 'top' down three times (fold along the long edge), a bit less than 1/4" each fold. That will leave it just about the height of the inside of the cart. You want it to be just a bit shy of the top of the white part in the cartridge, and put the folded end next the opening to the bridge. You can trim the non-folded end of the roll if it's a bit too long. To get it rolling smoothly, I found that starting to roll it around a toothpick was the best way for me. Welcome arcangel! You've found a great place. Reading some of the replies I got a bit confused, because the term 'bottle' could mean many things to different people. Since you're just starting out and don't know what flavors and strength you're going to like, my suggestion would be to guy several 10 ml bottles of juice, and include the highest strength you can find. If you're really a heavy smoker (which is also a very subjective term) you will probably want to start with high-nic juice. Just my experience. I was a heavy smoker. I direct drip and use about 20 ml of high-nic juice a week. Maybe that will help you gauge how much juice to purchase. Remember, try a good tobacco flavor (I like 555) but don't ignore the non-tobaccoey flavors. You'll be surprised to learn that you can satisfy your nic requirement and have it taste good too! That still blows me away sometimes. Good luck, keep asking questions, and have fun!

I'd call Christopher and ask. I bet he'd do it, you're a good addition to this forum. And it's earlier out there. ;)You might get lucky and find a supplier locally but that would be a serious long shot.

I know what you mean there - they are really cheap and it's easy to keep a bunch of them around. But man, I just can't throw something still useful away! I have at least 20 new carts and I keep cleaning and using the same three all the time... That's just goofy.
