Well I can't say for sure but I don't think so. At least, the one that VT store has (one port) is 2,000 mAh. Someone did post a two-port version the other day, so I hope whoever that was (sorry, can't recall; my memory is like - mine, not like Brian's, which is a steel trap) will step in with a suggestion. Good luck!

Oh, and by the way - I think the car adapter works equally as well as the wall adapter. Just my experience.

Interstate Battery is a good idea, I hadn't thought about them. Thanks mcquinn! While we're on the subject I followed up on H3VAPER's thread suggesting the portable power pack. I haven't been able to find its output rating (unless 10 watt hours helps) but it sure seems like a viable option for making the VP PT (or any PT) more portable. I looked on eBay, naturally. Since there's a newer model they're pretty cheap; around $30, which is a whole heckuva lot cheaper than buying a whole 5V mod. Just nowhere near as convenient... Anyway, here (possibly) is an eBay search string: APC Mobile Power Pack I'd be interested in hearing whether others think this would work, as I'm really considering snagging one. Thanks!

So how's it been going? I'm sure interested, even though I haven't been using carts for a while. I'm looking at a long drive here in the next few weeks and vaping is certainly a concern. Anecdote: My brother first got into vaping because he also had a long drive coming up and didn't want to smoke in the car with his family. As it turned out though, vaping with the current tech just didn't cut it and he ended up doing analogs all the way (20+ hours). So something like this or the juicebox seems like it might really have valuable applications. Please keep us posted as you have time. Thanks for the pics! And the ideas.

Freakin cool mcquinn! I think we should start calling you "MacGuyver".

LOL! (Literally!) Brian beat me to it on the parts list; he was gracious enough to share it with me too. Now I'm just waiting for my wife to cool off a bit before I go ordering more stuff...

Try to believe it Phaseman, there are no dumb questions; always feel free to ask anything here. And don't worry if you forgot you already asked it and everyone answered; they'll just answer you again. And just to fill in where others probably have never gone, if you ever get tired of pulling off the tip or cart to drip and putting it back on every few drags, you can just 'tailpipe' it without the tip. You won't get burned. But it's not exactly comfortable. I've only used 801s, have some 510s on the way. I'm looking forward to making my personal definitive decision which I like best... There sure are a lot of fine people who swear by their 510s. By the way, I didn't notice how many posts you'd made but I didn't recognize your ID - so let me just say, Welcome! I'm always late to the table to welcome folks here. You found a great place.

Honest Review: Altsmoke's Silver Bullet
ddavelarsen replied to VaporXtreme's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Hey, what's the 'rolleyes' for?! Am I that transparent? Sigh. Nana you're the best. And yeah, I can't wait to hear. It's one of the things I'm thinking about as I follow Brian's mod adventure; whether to do 5V or 6V whenever I decide to try it myself. -
I had a terrible thought, and went back to look; whew. No one's given me a -1, yet at least. So in my effort to try to determine how much I've really spent on this, if I do my filing today I'll gather up all the vaping-related receipts and see what they come to. Probably I will just find some more gratifying displacement behavior to indulge, though. My desk is piled to overflowing with all kinds of detritus from the last couple weeks; it's a catchall for whatever doesn't belong in the living room. Which is quite a lot, actually. But we'll see.
-
I'll second that! Thanks nana. I hope none of you dames ladies were offended by my use of the word "chicks" to refer to your lovely gender. If you were, and if knew me, you might still be offended but you'd know I said it in a loving way. (I do hope that I haven't simply dug myself deeper.)

Yeah, the initial cost can be a bear, trying to figure out what works. Even with all the excellent guidance here, there are so many successes it's hard to winnow out what makes each one different and apply it personally. I haven't spent a great deal on stuff; I have a VP2 and VP PT, some spare attys, and a slowly growing collection of juice. We're on a tight budget and my wife really resents what I spend on e cig stuff regardless that it's probably still less than I'd spend on analogs. The argument that I'm not smoking carries no weight. But that's just a personal issue, one I'm always working to find a way around. (Wish me luck. We had a massive argument about that yesterday and it's still quite chilly around here. Sheesh. Chicks. ) Surely though, over even the short run I'll have spent far less vaping than smoking, and personally I'd happily spend more to get the improved health I feel. Vaping is a godsend for me.

Today's Gift From The Mailman...
ddavelarsen replied to DAYVAPE's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I suspect there might be a little more friction or surface tension with nylon or other plastic than brass. I'd guess that why they use brass rather than something else. Brass is also a little easier to finish than plastic, which might equally be the reason. That said, there's just no way I could use a round metal tip on my e cig just because I vape so heavily when I'm driving - and our roads are not by any stretch flat around here. I'd have bleeding gums and a fat lip before I got to the grocery store. But it would sure be nice not to have to pull the tip off all the time, for example when you've just come out of the grocery store and been pushing a public cart around. I keep some small napkins in my car for vaping cleanups and for guarding against disease on the tip. But for me, the only tip that works is one I can hold between my teeth when I'm driving. I'm glad it's working for you DAYVAPE, it's the first I've heard from someone who uses them. Thanks for the update. -
I'm enjoying this Uma, keep it going! I hope your storm doesn't cause any havoc. Vape on!

Too bad this hasn't gotten more traction! I find that having to plug and unplug the thing all the time when I'm moving around the house is a real pain in the keester. These units are all over eBay and not expensive at all (~$30); I'd say very worthwhile, and I'm gonna snag one for myself. Thanks for the heads up, I would never have tried this on my own.

I should learn not to get excited about new juice sources! Sigh. Only 24mg. Anyway, let's hear a review when you try it.

Honest Review: Altsmoke's Silver Bullet
ddavelarsen replied to VaporXtreme's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Great review! Can't wait to hear what it's like at 6V, which is what I find I'm really looking forward to. Please keep us posted, and Congratulations! -
Brian I'm really looking forward to seeing what you build; you really got me inspired.
-
Thanks! I'll be checking them out when they reopen, hope to find all kinds of cool stuff there...
-
MickiO, thanks for the total boatload of information! And for the speaker trick at Tastypuff. I've been buying my juice at My Freedom Smokes and thought about getting 100mg there, but it seems a bit cheaper at Electro Nic Sticks and is also US made. Might support one of the 'local' suppliers for a while unless I decide I want a really big quantity of the stuff. That's one nice thing about freedom smokes, the large quantities available.
-
Cripes man, you might have the flu. Stay the heck away from me! Seriously, I hope it gets better soon.
-
I'll try that, thanks!
-
Well, I smoked about 25 Pall Mall non-filters a day. More when I could get away with it. I'm getting nowhere near the nicotine I was then, but I'm getting by. I've chewed nicorette and smoked too, but mostly the gum gets me through long meetings. Not quite ready to start vaping in meetings just yet.
-
I haven't melted anything yet but I did blow through a bunch of attys that were probably on their last legs anyway. But crimeny! I went through like four attys in one evening; finally put a new one on and it blew out too. Now I'm on the same one for a couple of days so maybe that's tapering off... Let's hope.
-
Okay you two, you've both kinda caught me out. First because in a way 5 and 6V are pretty much the same to me, right or wrong. But also because in my little mind -- more is better! I guess the only way to resolve this issue is to try both 5V and 6V... Since Brian started the wheels turning today, I'm seriously thinking about building a very basic mod (this is Brian's idea and impetuous; I'm just following him around). I bet it will be a relatively simple act to make both and see what happens. No, not immediately! But soon. I do really want to carry around some power. VP PT has ruined me for anything less. Sigh.
