Man I wish that were true for me! After 40+ years of smoking my teeth are never going to be white again... By now I'm sure it's changed my DNA; if I were to have any more kids (which I'm definitely not), they'd probably have stained teeth at birth. Ugh. Thanks for the excellent videos guys!

-0- Mg Nic All Natural Coffee And Other Flavors
ddavelarsen replied to Compenstine's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
That does sound good - doesn't have to be 0 nic though. I really think I'm going to try some coffee and nut flavorings. Haven't tried juice with either of those flavorings but they're both on my list. Anyone have a good suggestion for the right nut flavor to add? I'm not real big on hazelnut in my coffee, so any other ideas? Hazelnut would be okay too, just curious what others have liked. -
What a trip - that's the exact thing I got locally in the grocery store - for $12. Sheesh. I should shop Walmart more often.

Cripes, how transparent can you get?! Sad part is, people are going to see this, try those, and throw in the towel thinking e cigs don't work well. Well, maybe that's an assumption. If they're 510s maybe not so bad, and I don't know these brands well enough to know what they really are. Does anyone else? They don't seem to be stretching the facts too far... Except I can pretty much guarantee that 10ml is not equal to nine packs of analogs... At least not for me.

Well kimber I can't really answer your question and don't want to get too far off topic, but I absolutely dig your username! That's my caliber too, though I'm too cheap to have a nice one. As to your question, I don't know for sure but I believe this should work. If you're certain the output is 5V at around 2000 mah, you'll be okay. The charger for my phone is just a USB cable that plugs into an adapter in the wall, and the cable doubles as a data connection to my computer. My phone's charging right now so I can't pull the adapter out of the wall to see if it has any specs on it and I've never looked. But I did think about plugging my PT into it to see if it'd power it. Just haven't tried it yet.

This is a bit off-topic -- doesn't have anything do do with voting at all, but I liked it anyway. Just another example of the kind of wishful thinking that floats around the web all the time. It just tickled me today, so I'm pasting it in here. Sorry about the goofy fonts, but I guess someone along the line really wanted to make a point. And I'm too lazy to change it. WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH? 'My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete. This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning. Before me, I have two lists.. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there. The other list contains every one not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.. Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war. THEN EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER IT WILL GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WON?T GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS. The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption. Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France. In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth. Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or maybe China. I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bonne chance, mezamies. I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change. Mexico is also on List 2 its president and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra thousand tanks and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put 'em? Yep, border security. Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now. We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska- which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come.. If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there. It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, 'darn tootin.' Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought: Thank you guys. We owe you and we won't forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic. God bless America. Thank you and good night.' If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.

Assault On The Us Constitution
ddavelarsen replied to ddavelarsen's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Okay. Works for me. Mike and I were talking about this this morning. The second amendment was intended for exactly that purpose - to ensure the people would never be subject to an overpowering government. Govt is subject to the people - at least that was the intent of our democracy. Not exactly heading in that direction however. -
Might want to adjust that nic level just a bit there buddy! Not that you don't have every reason and right to be crabby when you wish. The world just keeps going further into the famous handbasket every freakin day. Doesn't matter which bunch of politicians is in control, either. They're not managing the country, they're taking care of personal business. Maybe it's time for a peaceful revolution -- Vote Incumbents Out!

Assault On The Us Constitution
ddavelarsen replied to ddavelarsen's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Lest this discussion get out of hand and shut down, let me ask everyone to agree to disagree and drop it. FTJoe, this isn't one of those issues there's any ambivalence about around here. -
John that is a fantastic piece of writing. +1 for sure. I'll use some of that for my own story and add it to the queue. I truly hope legislators everywhere take an unusual path for once, and ignore the money coming at them in favor of the duty to their constituents that they've sworn to. Thank you for a wonderful post.

It's true, dweeb; appreciating some movies does require a bit of a willing suspension of disbelief. Otherwise, why even spend your time? Kids. Life is wasted on em. Some adults too, I'm afraid. Bro.
-
Best of luck with that one Bro! But I totally agree, and I think you're my hero for today. For any interested forumites, Mike is the Iowa Chair for the Modern Whig Party. This is a man who'd rather never speak to another human being unless it's absolutely necessary. But like me, Mike believes it's absolutely necessary to take our democracy back from the status quo Good Ole Boy's Club in Washington. So he's stepped up - like he always does when it's necessary - to do what has to be done. Bro, you really are a hero and a good human. Even if you'd rather not be. My hat is off to you.
-
Wow man, that makes me feel good! I'm really glad it works!
-
I only wish I could sign the petition. Thanks Brian, let's hope we have some equally articulate folks asking for help when the time comes here again. We absolutely have to ensure that our lives are not put at risk again by losing the one successful analog alternative we've found.

I know I have to have seen A Time to Kill but it's not filling in my immediate memory. I'll have to check it out. Dripzz, Inglorious Basterds is indeed a great movie! I don't think there's anything about it I don't -- love? Odd word to use about that particular movie. But it's true; I dig it totally. I'm gonna add it to my "cheap DVD" list. I've marked a few off lately and it's getting kind of short again. Recent ones I've gotten off that list were Apocalyto, Shadow of the Vampire and Unforgiven. I love going into anyplace that has used DVDs or a bin of cheap overstocks and digging through them.

Well you're a real bucket of sunshine today aren't you?! Unfortunately, I see it your way. Dang.

Poll The First - Your Analog Type
ddavelarsen replied to ddavelarsen's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
Cool stuff Brian! Thanks man, that's convincing me even more that I'm gonna try some VG soon. Will be refilling carry bottles tomorrow, so will give one of them a boost. Bro, I know exactly where you're coming from! I like that hard hit too, it's why I smoked the analogs I did, and you too now that you say it like that. Hm. Voltage rules. Well, let's get ready to find your nirvana menthol vape. But you better be careful, you're going to freak these nice people out with your talk of high nic and pain and stuff. he he! Also I noticed you haven't filled out your profile. Need to get on that. Lurking is all well and good, and at VT you can learn about everything you need to that way. But it's so much more fun to -- well, do what you're doing; freak people out. And be nice sometimes too of course. But maybe that would be asking too much too soon, eh? heh! -
That's funny - I have em the other way around. Not by design though, just the way it's worked out. I've tried both attys on both devices and honestly - I can't tell a difference. I've found a lot more variation in the performance of different 801s though. 302 is gonna be the only way I go on that in the future.
-
That sounds like the ticket! In fact, when I'm done making dinner and cleaning up the mess, that's exactly what I'm gonna do... Or something like it anyway. Might have to do some shopping. Cripes, I better order a bunch of stuff from Madvapes before he sells out of disposables too!

Cool Mark, please let me know your ideas for improving it. Thanks for the vote!

Well, I discovered a bug in this this morning but I think it will work for most applications. Clearly though, there's still some development in order. <shrug> So it goes. This is a zip file of a spreadsheet, so just uncompress it after download and open in Open Office or excel. Green numbers are inputs; output is in drops and milliliters. Naturally I welcome suggestions for improvement, both function and esthetics. Let me know what you think, okay? Thanks! JuiceCalculator5.xls.zip JuiceCalculator5.xls.zip

901 Carts Seem To Lose Their Tips
ddavelarsen replied to mmseng's topic in General Vaping Discussion
This happens to me fairly frequently, and it's because I usually carry my device in my outside coat pocket. When I squirm into the car it often gets pulled off either on the doorjam or the side of the seat. Usually I find them, sometimes after my feet have been rolling them around on the floor for a couple of days. Anyway, not too big a deal to vape without it if you're using an 801, but the a 510 gets quite too warm for tailpiping it for very long... I'd like to find some soft-flat 901 carts too; I really prefer the whistle tip to the round 510s, especially for driving. The only 901s I've spotted have a fairly thick and what appears to be a hard plastic tip. I sure like that soft rubbery stuff like the 302/801s have. -
Seems like FTJoe has a good approach here. Sometimes I do think of him as a "schoolmarm" regarding backups but that's probably only until something happens to me that proves him right. Hopefully I'll win the lottery before that happens so I can be just like Joe. Meanwhile, I use my VP2, which gets me about 8-9 hours of vaping, and carry two spare batts and a spare atty. That should get me through the worst days unless I drop my device in the toilet or something. Which, since I often find myself vaping in the most unlikely places, is not that far-fetched... The other day Brian found some disposable 510s for like $10. (Can't remember where offhand. ENS?) I'm going to add a couple of those to my next order. Keep one in my desk at work and one here at home. Maybe I'll give one away sometime if a smoker shows an interest and wants to try it. Point is, cheap backup -- making me more like my hero for today, FTJoe. Knight, I'll be looking forward to hearing what you decided on, and then how your golf outing goes. Who knows, you might make some conversions on the course!

I think one reason they're so hard to find is that nowhere on there does it say "Pyramid." You have to rely on the picture of the pyramidal-shaped bag to identify them. The brand is Lipton, and the box is about 5" wide and 4.5" tall. The printing is kind of "classy" looking, if that helps at all. Different flavors have different colored boxes. If you want a picture, I'll scan my box for you.
