I'm kind of with mcquinn on this one - I'm not so sure about breathing "particles." I guess that's what everything we breathe is, but this one gives me an eerie feeling, like the idea of breathing asbestos. I guess I'd like to know the actual particle size to compare to nano particles - which really creep me out. Still, the idea of carrying flavorful caffeine around in my pocket is intriguing...

That's a truly frightening image! But man I know what you mean; no nic turns me into Hyde in very short order. HW, you've gotten so much good advice I have nothing to add (!). I'm so happy with our community; I've never experienced such good vibes anywhere on the planet. VT is a special place, glad you found your way here. Good luck and ask all your questions. J0T, this sounds like dirty contacts to me. I've had similar issues and once I cleaned everything really well it's gone on to be just fine. If just cleaning/drying the contacts on the VP2 and atty with a paper towel or something doesn't solve it, try cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. If it's still possessed, it's a nice enough unit to send off for repair. I will never give mine up!

Mark I agree that there are more good experiences than bad -- it's just that the bad is what normally gets all the press. That's what folks are worried about I think. If Will handles this right it could really be a good thing for everyone, and so far ROOR has shown excellent judgement and support of the community in all aspects. I trust ROOR on this one. I'll keep a positive eye out. Edit: So I watched it again, Will didn't say a whole lot about researching bad experiences. To be fair he'd sure better get all the info, and more than one complaint about any one institution or member should be required. One unhappy experience should not be sufficient to be called out for; it needs to be a trend before Will should be willing to present the issue. Still, I think this could be worthwhile if managed properly.

Man I hold off on buying anything way beyond what seems reasonable. My jeans get split up the middle I let it go until they're split from front to back before I replace them, and then only on sale. My cars die in the road before I replace them. But vaping stuff? I've still spent a couple hundred bucks more than I've not-spent on analogs. Part of that is the learning curve - you just can't know up front what's going to work for you. I still need to buy a 5/6V batt mod, and will probably make one before I buy a commercial one - just to be sure that's really what I want. I'm cheap as hell, but even then my wife resents every cent I spend on this stuff. I guess she doesn't understand how really reserved I've been! It could have been much, much worse...
