  1. Aw. Shucks. Tektronik, I may be way off base here but I'm pretty sure that I've read that KR808 and 901 are the same base. If that's true, then your 801 - 901 adaptor should do the trick. I'm sorry that I don't have a 901 to be certain however. Hopefully someone who actually knows what they're talking about will chime in here. A little off topic but I've been feeling that I want more than one adaptor for each combination. That is, I use 801 - 510 but only have one adaptor. Yet there have been plenty of times I wished I had at least two so I could use, for example, 510s on both my devices (VP2 and VP PT). Am I the only one who wants multiple adaptors of the same purpose? Just curious, really.
  2. Hi Brandon. He said (and a very quick reply, too; we're getting spoiled and larger-world businesses are going to have a hard time measuring up ), "Hi Dave Right now we don't have the base for sale. The strengths of the Essence line are stronger than the equivalent strengths of the chinese flavors. Thanks for the interest in our products. Rich" So of course I replied that it'd be a great idea for vendors to think about selling the base flavoring for some of these more unique liquids for us DIY types. I think there could be a reasonable market for that, and it would let vendors shy of higher strengths off the hook.
  3. Actually Brandon I'm not sure if they're going to wait for attys to ship my PV, or whether extra attys are going to be a week or two but he's shipping my PV now. If I get a shipping notice I'll let you know. Edit: I got a shipping notice!!! YeeHAW!
  4. Hi Cher; Jeff's refering to larger-battery mods. These use physically larger batteries that are removable from a machined enclosure so that a fresh one can be substituted for the spent one. But most mods use batteries that will last a typical vaper 5-10 hours, which is a great improvement over the 1 or 2 hrs most commercial e cig batts will do for you. That's a start, but you'll be hearing a lot more as you read here. Have fun and good luck!
  5. Congratulations hardwired, that's great news. It only gets better! I vape about 15 ml a week, but I'm vaping at 5V most of the time and am pretty liberal with the stuff.
  6. Hey Brandon, Joe2003 just posted in "Introduce Yourself" with an answer to your question. Joe's been lurking but this was his first post - trying to help a fellow vaper. That's what makes VT so dang fine: The People. Thanks Joe2003! And good luck Brandon.
  7. Since you guys were like absolutely no help at all telling me what's up with that 8-watt atty I just had to go out on a limb and order one of these bad boys. I couldn't help myself - that Lacewood just turns me on. Drew tried to describe why - I think - an 8-watt atty at 3.7V would deliver a 5V-equivalent hit, but I didn't get it, quite. I'm just taking that on faith. If it's not true, I'm really gonna be disappointed; 3.7V really doesn't quite cut it for me. This just shows how much faith I have, I guess. One might call that ... "not-a-survival-trait." We'll see, though, won't we? Drew also said that additional 8-watt attys won't be available for a week or two.
  8. Good post, thanks. Yet another unit I need to check into? That's just not fair! Edit: Checked it out, I have a question - will the PowerVape take protected RCR123As? This is important! Thanks.
  9. Congratulations on your Tornado! I'm with you on the RY4 - I tried it once because it has such a generally great rep, and almost spit it out! Yikes, that stuff was nasty. Maybe I got a bad batch or something. Whatever it was, it's not getting a second chance!
  10. Hi Teri, I've seen references to this thread all over the place and I just wanted to offer my own congratulations. It's always great to hear someone's enthusiasm for their new toys. Enjoy and vape on!
  11. You're not out of place here brother. Take care and check in as often as you can. I wish you well!
  12. Great news IS! PS - How you coming on that droid version? (sorry, couldn't help myself )
  13. Great review! Their strengths are nowhere near useful for me but I sent a query asking about base flavors for DIY. That's something vendors could work on if they're not willing to offer higher strength juice - just sell the base flavors for those of us who do require a higher nic level.
  14. Thanks guys. Yeah John, there really are some angry people around here. Our govt is really pretty freakin ... inept. Highest taxes that anyone's ever heard of, and really - where does the money go? No one knows (literally), but the state is always flat broke and laying people off. Reminds me of the Virgin Islands, except we do always still have electricity (so far). Don't get me started, or I'll start sounding like one of those guys on there who can't spell!
  15. Man they've been charging us for trash collection for years here. Then they started charging extra for more than fits in the can, and separately for "large" items, and separately for "yard waste" (which we have to buy special bags for, or buy stickers for and bundle just-so longer sticks and branches), and separately for "appliances" and separately for recyclables. It separately adds up to quite an annual sum... And I'm with FTJoe - that diet soda crack is classic!
  16. Hm. Price doesn't seem all that out of line. It's a lot, for sure, but... hmm... I'm with Uma - what's the story of the 8-watt atty?
  17. Ha! We managed to turn that stupid article into a forum for vaping! There were a couple of naysayers that we soundly spanked into silence, and at least one person will be looking into vaping (maybe VT?) as a solution to quit smoking. He He He!
  18. I swear, legislators and anti-smoking people are about the dumbest, most dedicatedly ignorant bunch of dimwits ever! "2009 Tobacco Control Progress Report" indeed. In it, these people who think they're smart but are anything but, convince themselves that reduced tobacco sales means people are smoking less. WTH?! As the generally much more intelligent commenters pointed out, everyone's just buying their cigarettes online or in neighboring states. Kids haven't shown the same tobacco use reduction as adults because - guess what? - kids don't have credit cards to order online or the freedom to drive to Nebraska to buy smokes. I really, REALLY disrespect self-serving fools who claim to know something because they made it up. I posted this here because it doesn't have anything to do with vaping; just the typical willfully ignorant prohibition mindset. Well, and I'm at work and can't really blow off much steam here. Study: Iowa Cigarette Sales Drop 52 Percent
  19. Sin taxes do work to reduce (local) sales of the taxed item. Iowa has raised taxes on cigarettes a buck twice in the last four years. Now a lot of people either buy them online or drive to the nearest other state to buy their smokes. (So far vaping hasn't made much of a dent in analog use.) Anyway, it's amusing to me that the second tax increase was to make up for the shortfall from reduced cigarette sales. To be fair I should also say that a fairly large number of people quit smoking too, at least for a while.
  20. Can you say D-A-R-W-I-N-A-W-A-R-D? Sheesh. I hope these guys haven't already replicated.
  21. I'll second that one. I like the 302 on my VP PT, and frankly I guess it does use a lot more juice but -- who cares? Juice is pretty cheap and if you're 'stocked up' sufficiently you won't feel it as bad. That VP PT is the cat's meow man, no doubt about it. I'm vaping a 510 on it right now and it might just be me but it seems like they're a little more harsh than the 302. Probably just me though.
  22. Being off nicotine would really be awesome man. You guys who are pulling that off really have something special going for you, and my hat's off to you all. John we've had lots of "Le Pew" going around today. Don't know why, but I've decided to stay away from everyone for a while, just for my own well being.
  23. You mean dry snuff? I did that for a while in the 70s too; really liked it but man my sinuses got so caked with the stuff it freaked me out so I quit. And it took a lot to freak me out back then.
  24. You nailed it man! I should've gotten that and it didn't even hit my peabrain. Sheesh.
  25. Man I can sure get into that roboplow... That might have saved me a lot of lifting this winter. But it needs a snow thrower on the front rather than a blade. Snow's piled so high around here there wouldn't be anywhere to push more snow. I actually had to climb on top of the pile of snow at the end of my driveway and scrape it down so I could throw more on top of it. The pile had gotten too high for me to throw more up there. As to the cooler -- cooler? My old gf ditched me to ride a freakin cooler?!
