  1. That would have to be virtual vaping nirvana! I had that in my sights for a while until the Phidius Woodimus hit the street, but my buddy Brian got an SB and I'm just waiting for him to pop for the double-barrels. This thing must really rock and I'm waiting for Mark's review... Mark?
  2. Thanks Joe. Yeah, I can't imagine how humidity could affect a sealed container either; just thought I'd ask.
  3. Wow, good info Jeff! Summer is coming and there's a good likelihood I'd have left some valuable juice in the car at some point. Chris, what's the 'ideal' storage temp? I have mine at room temp, which is about 71 degrees. Does humidity affect it even in storage?
  4. Me too Joe. Cool, calm, collected, klutz.
  5. I'll second that, I've found a lot of good bottles on eBay. Amber or cobalt glass is good for storage of large amounts of juice.
  6. Sorry Uma, I should have been more specific. It's quite difficult to roll down windows on a vehicle when it's underwater; people die that way. It's happened in our local rivers more often than I care to remember - someone gets swept off the road by floodwaters, can't get out of the car, and drown. You'd think manual (not powered) windows would work okay, but they don't. Water pressure can make them virtually impossible to roll down; same goes for opening the doors. Just be safe, that's all I meant.
  7. I think you'll like the KR808D - that's what I started with, from V4L. They've been in regular use since 1 Nov and still going strong. You can refil cartomizers and I've had good luck with their longevity. Some have been refilled five or six times. Eventually you might want to go for a more powerful unit, in which case I can bet everyone will recommend the Joye 510. I've seen it happen! But you will like this too. Just keep hanging out here and you'll get your feet on the ground in no time. This is a good place with great people.
  8. Sorry, I woke up two hours late this morning and don't have time to read through all the following comments, but FTJoe I think it would be the height of irresponsibility to own firearms and not teach one's kids about them. I really agree with Schizo that the best defense in these matters is a good offense. I grew up with guns and never had any doubt about their danger - because that was drilled into me from the first moment I ever saw one. That was not true for cigarettes, and by damn I was smoking when I was 7 or 8. But I never touched a gun until I was allowed to under supervision. I think this matters. All that said though, the naysayers are going to see that video and it's going to be 'evidence' to congress to ban e cigs. That idiot has shot all of us in the foot. Teaching is one thing, hanging your life out in the street is a whole other matter.
  9. So really it's not a "smoke free" workplace, it's a "nicotine free" workplace. They need to get their nomenclature straight.
  10. Actually there is one someplace. I'll go looking. Meanwhile, Welcome! You've come to the right place, so ask away. We're here to help in any way we can. Have fun and keep us posted how it's going for you. What did you order? Edit: This one is pretty good but it's not the one I was thinking of. I'll keep trying. Edit2: Here's another with some additional stuff; still not what I was thinking of though. Hm.
  11. Way to go! Vaping is a wonderful thing, saving lives and all.
  12. That's what I'm talkin about Uma! Yeah! I bet you don't get many unannounced visitors. Seriously though, we'd hate to lose you down the river. You keep your windows open?
  13. You can also try myfreedomsmokes.com. A bit more pricey than ENS but if they're out you will find it at freedom smokes.
  14. +1 Schizo. I admire your consistent willingness to do your own thinking and to stick your neck out. I agree with you about the kids raising part and I wasn't able to watch the entire video to catch that the kid had been instructed not to use it - any why. Good point. This doesn't mean though that some naysayer won't also take it out of context and use it against us, which shows truly bad judgement on the poster's part. But you're my hero for today man.
  15. I may not have found the same thread at ECF, but he had that up along with his Woodimus review in one thread or another. It's not in the thread I found using search though. I was going to leave a comment there but don't see his son's video. But like I said, I may not have found the same thread. Yes, this is very disturbing; like FTJoe says, we're gonna screw it up ourselves if we don't police our own actions. What poor judgement! If he wants to get his kid on video I'm sure there are plenty of other subjects of interest.
  16. That's the spirit Tektronik! I would not have thought of that, but you've planted the seed for me and a bunch of other folks I imagine. Way to go! When I read your thread I wondered if this might just be a cleaning issue? Don't want to be too simplistic but I've had similar issues with my VP2 that I have resolved by blowing and wiping out the connection on the device and atty. This happens reasonably often and freaks me completely out when it does, but I've always been able to restore it to full function. Don't know about the switch sticking though. I think if that continues I'd be sending mine to Jeso too. For what it's worth, his turnaround time is fantastic. My VP PT was out of my house for only one week, so he must have done the work and returned it the same day he received my unit. I don't think it gets much better than that. Good luck and cool on you for building a quick mod to carry you over!
  17. Great stories Gweetus, that's very cool! That's getting the word out man, keep up the good work!
  18. Its intent is clearly to make the sale of e liquid illegal. I left a comment; I notice that it has not yet been 'approved.' This is nothing more than NY legislators doing the bidding of industry - big pharma and big tobacco.
  19. I'm pleased that I could help. Feel free to ask all of your questions. That helps us all, because we all learn something new from every conversation. Oh - I meant to say, good luck with your DIY endeavors! It's a lot of fun.
  20. Mark I'm really looking forward to hearing your report!
  21. Honestly folks, I don't see how this wouldn't become the 'standard' 510 atty - and the technological approach for all attys going forward. I think it's a game-changer. Brandon I'll try to get some pics up of woodimus today.
  22. Yep; yet another flavor I must try... There is thankfully no end in sight for the stuff we get to play with. What a life!
  23. You're a worrier! Say it isn't so! Man I never had that perspective on you. Grumpy, sure; persnickety? Damn right. But a worrier? Naw. You just see the dark side in civic matters, that's all it seems to me. And a dark side in civic matters is about 88% as far as I've ever been able to tell. I'd just say you're a realist with an edge, FTJ! You go man, take em out.
  24. It's a crying shame that these are not yet available at NHaler's site. The one I'm testing came with my Phidius Woodimus device, though I'm using it on my VP2 presently. This is billed as a "5V simulated" experience at 3.7V. I concur. Admittedly I had my doubts going in, and I really hate breaking in new attys, so I put it off initially. Wish I hadn't! Besides looking really cool in stainless steel on the VP2, the thing really puts out. First impressions: Vapor Production When broken in, kicks heinie. If you've vaped a 510 at 5V, for example on your VP PT, you already know what the Magnum atty is like at 3.7V. It creates a great deal of warm vapor right out of the chute but after vaping 20 or 30 hits off it I got a fully broken-in unit that has never failed to deliver huge plumes. Some people don't appreciate warm vapor; I should say this doesn't seem any different from a standard 510 at 5V in that regard. Flavor Hm. Still tends to overpower flavor a bit like your standard 510 does at 5V. I was honestly hoping that wouldn't be the case, but there you have it. It pays to keep it fairly wet, which lessens its harshness. Boosting the proportion of flavor in your e liquid will help to restore some flavor to the 5V experience (and the Magnum experience). Throat Hit Truly works as advertised. I've been vaping standard PG liquids in this atty and getting truly raucous TH. No complaints or surprises. In my opinion so far I'd say this is about as close as I've come to getting the sensation of smoking from an e cig (other than Woodimus at 6V, but that's another story). Of course I don't yet know how long it will last, whether it will have the same longevity of other 510s or tend to die more quickly. That remains to be learned. I have high hopes for it though; it really feels like a quality atomizer and it truly performs as advertised. This is a worthwhile and recommended innovation in my book. Hopefully these will become generally available soon (and I hope I notice that before everyone else does so I can get in line quickly enough ) at a reasonable price.
