  1. Oh man! We all know that one! Thanks for your service Tektronik.
  2. I've been working on a HV version of the 555 recipe I posted from ECF here somewhere; it's getting there but still not 555. Totally vapable though, so I've been using it just fine. Brian also got me some 555 flavoring from Liquid Express that's pretty good. Unfortunately about the time all that was coming together I had to switch to fruit flavors for a while so I could taste the other again. I'm planning to try the 555 and Flue Cured this weekend, along with Brian's fave Mr Bean. I'll be glad to get back to some of the stuff I like the best. Fruit was good for a while but not really doing it for me these days. Vapor flavor is like an itch; once you start scratching it you chase it all over!
  3. Great thread Fiend! And sure, I got a story too. Some of the 'old timers' here will remember me bitching about my wife complaining about the money too (that is still true ), and thinking it's just a gimmick. She still doesn't quite get it, but she's sure come around seeing me mostly not smoking. That in itself is an absolute wonder. My wife had already quit smoking for probably six months when I learned about ecigs. I was due to order smokes again but decided to use that money for my first kit. It was underwhelming but over a couple weeks I used it more and more, to the point I actually preferred the KR808 to an analog. That's when I started looking around to see if something could be truly satisfying and found my VP2 and 48mg juice. That did the trick and soon I was smoke free. Oh, she threw a freakin fit! More money spent on that crap! Little did she know it was only the beginning. Like most of us, I've kept trying to find my personal sweet spot and think I've really narrowed it down to either high voltage or a LR atty on my trusty VP2. I've started DIY my own liquid, which has helped immensely with both the cost and my satisfaction from my juice. (HV does benefit from more VG.) How does Jeanie feel about vaping these days? She's come to an accommodation to it, probably because I have everything shipped to my brother's house now. But when I got my first 6V unit, Phideas Woodimus, guess what? My wife 'inherited' it immediately and I haven't used it more than a couple hours on a few evenings. Voltage really satisfies her too, and she's pretty much quit the gum now. She hardly vapes because she really got hold of the nicotine issue on her own, but it's so much cheaper than buying nic gum, and so much more fun for me keeping her device going, that we're all good now. I find myself smoking occasionally again though. Sometimes it's just so much more convenient to light an analog, and honestly still more deeply satisfying, that I don't know when I'll get back to being completely analog-free again. I'm sure the day is out there. Vaping has absolutely changed my life. I'm truly thankful for Vapor Talk; I can't find the right words to express it, but you guys rock. Thanks for all the help and support. I shake my head when I think about some of my ignorant but innocent newbie posts! ...Good grief! ... But you all sure pulled me though it. Thanks.
  4. I undid the -1, that's just ridiculous. Maybe you're just not drinking enough water. I really kind of doubt vaping has much if anything to do with it. I sure haven't noticed any change I could attribute to vaping.
  5. Yeah, I've had that too. Jeff's explanation works for me. I had that with one LR atty and when it popped like that it went dead. But I was pushing it purposefully to see if it'd take 5V. It didn't. It's sure freaky when it happens, but it doesn't seem to be dangerous.
  6. I was paying about $7 a pack Mike, enough to make me think more than twice about continuing! I also probably smoked less since they were non-filter. I smoked about 25 a day. But I admit, I've 'cheated' a bit lately so even that savings isn't quite accurate anymore. Close though.
  7. Thanks Brian, now I have an actual excuse to go check em out again.
  8. Okay guys, hangin in there with good thoughts for all.
  9. That is excellent service, and a supplier I'll add to my 'check em out' list. Thanks for the call out Brandon!
  10. Mark that's just freaking awesome! What batt(s) does it use? Is this a 6V device? When do we get a chance at that beauty?! Whatever happens I'll sure need to know when bidding starts...
  11. I've often wondered about product seizures. I guess it's true. Let me just say Thank You to our intrepid suppliers who face these ridiculous constraints on their businesses. Let's all keep up the good fight.
  12. Thanks JamBone, I signed. I think. The site isn't doing much except tell me signing is in process. Anyway, we need to sign every petition there is, and let these corrupt agencies know they do not have a free ride to sentence us to a lingering death with tobacco.
  13. Thanks Brandon, I registered over there. Hopefully I don't have to make a bunch of posts before PMing someone.
  14. Next time just remember: Brian knows everything.
  15. Those guys don't have a contact method, and they really need to do something about that awful freakin grammar. That kind of thing just hurts all our credibility. If anyone knows how to contact them, please get them to add the freakin apostrophe that indicates possession: "Vaper's Coalition" There is just no excuse for this kind of thing in a public website, and the same error is repeated throughout. It's embarrassing. Edit: Cripes it's in their freakin pdf too!
  16. Dr J is our main man, and that fantastic review premiered right here on VT.
  17. Some people do have decent experience cleaning attys, but I'm not one of them. When they stop performing I get out a new one. Yes, attys are disposable. You didn't ask, but in my opinion you're always best off buying Joye atomizers, they are much more consistent than knockoffs and tend to last longer.
  18. Here's a link, that is pretty funny... REVIEW OF THE GAMUCCI MICRO ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE "But it was working before! And the box is really nice."
  19. Bummer! Man that was just plain mean. I didn't try buying one because all my money went for the iPad, but I sure was thinking hard about it... Price did seem a little low though. But I've officially been snookered. I'm sure it's the first time... Edit: By the way, just for grins I submitted the "want this?" form for moodINQ. Hey, who knows? If enough people really want it maybe something like it could be developed.
  20. Oh, cripes man, sorry. Switching between windose and OS X all the time I often get the shortcut keys confused. Thankfully Vacker stepped right up! Thanks m'lady.
  21. There's so much potential here it boggles the mind. I guess color is not (yet) an option, but man this sure gets my vote! moodINQ
  22. Man I sure know where you're coming from. I've thrown out a lot of horrible flavor experiments; at least I eventually learned not to use any nic when I'm trying different recipes. Another problem can be residual flavor in the atty; I may not always get the true flavor of what I'm testing. So I often do a 'huffing dry burn' between tests to clear any leftover juice from the prior test. That does help but it slows the process down quite a bit, and will probably reduce the life of attys too. But I'm just so cheap, and trying to get that HV sweet spot, I'm going to continue my mad science for a while yet. Fiend, we like cookies around here!
  23. Yep, that's about the proportion of VG I've been using too, but really bumping up the flavor. Since flavoring is generally PG-based, it seems to add about the right amount. Gary, I don't thin the VG either, for the same reason you mentioned.
