  1. That's my experience exactly FTJoe. All I have right now is 6V and they're a bit hot and harsh there but I still kind of like it. When I loaded the first box I made labels for each flavor and taped them around the barrel. Seems like one carto will last me a full day; and the batts on Woody manage that too, so that's pretty golden. A 24 hr device! As an added bonus, one carto fits inside the storage area nicely, so it's a pretty compact package with a flavor change to boot.
  2. +1 Jenny and welcome! You're sure right about the Money; that's all govt is about, is money. They quit doing their sworn jobs decades ago, if they've ever done them. Anyway, I'm glad you're here and looking forward to hearing more from you. Vape on!
  3. Yeah, now that you mention it Jeff I totally know what you mean. Huh. Sometimes it just takes someone else to make me see the obvious.
  4. Well, my first impression of the 510 carto is positive. I used it at 6V, which might be pushing it a little but got great flavor and TH, if not a lot of vapor. The only thing I'd say about beyond that is that it really seemed to run a little hot; but at 6V I guess I'm not surprised. After I've run some for a few days and a few refills I'll let you know how that goes.
  5. A KR808 was my first device and I've refilled some cartos seven or eight times with none having failed yet. I got mine from V4L, for what it's worth; they're a great company that I'd do business with any day. I just got my first 510 cartos yesterday so haven't tried them yet but I'm really looking forward to it.
  6. +1 Chris, that's great service. I sure dig this forum.
  7. Hi Mike. My favorite 555 has come from My Freedom Smokes. I'm still trying to make some and it's slow going. I think I'll get there some day. The problem of course is that I have to make at least 3 ml of flavor just to balance proportions, and it would take a couple of weeks of vaping that one mix to use it up. So it's either throw it away (which I've done some) or just take my time. One thing about mixing only the flavor is it's not as expensive to throw away as if it had been mixed with nicotine, and that's become my practice. Sometimes I even vape the flavor with no nic, just for testing purposes, though nicotine does change it subtly when added. Recently I made one I call 'peanut butter brownie' and it's been my all day vape for a while. Good stuff! Not quite perfect yet, but definitely one to work on.
  8. Wow, that's good advice Chris, thanks. I hadn't thought about the atty affecting that but of course it would. I've had this happen when I vape the same flavor for a long time. I've lost the taste for my fave 555. I went off it for a week hoping I'd get it back, but still haven't yet. I'll continue vaping other stuff for another week and hope it gets better. So you see brian1g, this is normal. Don't fret, because your flavors will come back. I think a new atty and sticking to one for a while is a good idea. I'd sure never have thought of that.
  9. You guys stole my thunder! I haven't even used the eGo and I'd agree. Please keep us posted how you like it Wright.
  10. Thanks Bro, I knew you'd have the answer.
  11. I also recommend the 510. I was a slow adopter and kick myself for that often enough. Just take our word for it. Also, since throat hit is important to you (me too), consider the low resistance 510 atomizers. They're available at nhaler.com and (this is a very personal opinion, read around here for others) in my mind the best thing since high voltage. They'll make your standard battery vape like real voltage. Again, my personal feelings on this one but I haven't used anything else since I got them. As to menthol, I'll give another member a heads up who's done the experimenting and did finally find a good substitute -- though not for a particular brand. That's just not possible; vapor is vapor, not smoke. But you can find satisfaction. Good luck! You sound frustrated. We all understand that one.
  12. Right-o nana! They're going to be great. Just like Mark's.
  13. I just so dig this guy! Mooby Ghost has always been my favorite reviewer and advocate for our cause. What a cool guy. Mooby I already have my hero for today, but I'll reserve tomorrow's place for you, man. Vape on! You go man!
  14. You know, I can really see Mooby testifying before Congress on our right to vape. Way to go brother!
  15. Wow, cool ohm symbol! How'd you do that? And more importantly, where does one find LR cartos? Dang, I just ordered non-'premium' cartos! Sigh.
  16. Whatda'ya mean you got nothin? I'm a lost unit on this one, brother. My <sigh>.
  17. It's actually intended for 3.7V, and truly does provide a simulation of vaping at high voltage. Since I got mine I haven't used anything else; it's back to my trusty VP2. But there's some evidence that they do not have as long a life as regular 510s, and there's been some dissatisfaction with that. Also, they tend to 'burn' (?) the liquid and can acquire a truly nasty flavor that has to be dealt with in some way. This too has caused some users to abandon them. Like everything else we use, it has tradeoffs. For me it's wonderful and I'm willing to accept the tradeoffs for the fantastic hit they give. But that's just me.
  18. The only time anyone's ever mentioned that they could smell the vapor is when they were sitting very close to me, and then that it was a pleasant smell. Mostly this has only occurred when I was vaping fruit flavors. I vape at my desk too - right outside a VP's office - and no one in my office has ever said they smelled anything. But they have been curious about the clouds of vapor arising from my cube.
  19. Way to go Brandon, another +1 for you buddy. I hope you've generated a couple of vapers, they'll be glad you did.
  20. Man Mark, you had me going there for a minute. So many people have given up on them I was beginning to think I'm the only one still sold. My first one lasted a couple weeks until I (foolishly) tried it on the PT in my car, which popped it almost immediately. The next one died in about a week. The one I'm on now has about three weeks going so far, and so far so good. Many people complain about the nasty taste they can build up. And that's true. The way I get around that is to do a kind of hybrid dry burn, where I pull drags on the thing while it heats up and createshuge clouds of vapor. When it gets really hot I drop the switch and continue dragging the rest of the vapor out, and then let it cool for a few minutes. I repeat that process four or five times until there's very little vapor being created. When I re-drip it, it's a massive hit again with full flavor again. I'm sure this must reduce its life, but the current one is holding out well so far.
  21. Aren't these anti-smoking people really just "holier than thou?" Sure seems that way to me. This is not anti-smoking, it's anti-nicotine. Again. Hypocrisy at its finest. Organization's Efforts to Ban Devices
