Great, I'll go check that out! Bought my first Lorann's at Hobby Lobby, so I bet they'll have the droppers too. Thanks! And I know what you mean about not being able to see the liquid level in opaque bottles. I almost bought some like that once and then realized exactly what you mentioned. Do you like the Juicy Vapor flavors? Which do you use?

Yep, this is a can o' worms. If you were hoping for some solid objective help making a choice, just go ahead and throw in the towel. There are so many variations of devices, and voltage, and subjective taste that there's just no way to know how you're going to like a particular combination until you try it. I'm such a downer! Just to confuse the issue more, I started vaping 801/302s at 3.7V and found myself nicely satisfied. I did get a few that leaked but no big deal. I used 302s exclusively for a very long time until one day I just decided I needed to know what all the hooraw about 510s was, and ordered a few. I've never looked back. At 3.7V I got great TH off the 510, which is more important to me than flavor, but with most of my liquid I got okay flavor too. Then I went to 6V and the flavor did drop off, but the TH (especially with a bit of VG in the juice to smooth it out) was very nice. And then the 510 cartos! Wow, best of all possible worlds for me. Great TH, good flavor, lots of vapor... That's been my nirvana for a few weeks now. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't get cartos again. Cry like a baby for starters. Then I guess I'd go back to either regular 510s at 6V or LR 510s at 3.7V. I really don't anticipate using 801s again unless pressed to. For me 510s beat them in every regard (save flavor, which you can overcome by DIY your own liquid). Has this helped? Surely not; it's contradictory to half the replies so far! Don'tcha just love vaping?! I do.

Awesome man, I dig it! I really enjoy it when folks get into their vaping gear and start finding ways to carry it or store it or whatever. I always get more ideas for my own mess. Good stuff Ouster, keep it coming!

How Much Juice Do You Go Through In A Month?
ddavelarsen replied to mmseng's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
Wow, the only time in my life when I've had any kind of reaction like that to nicotine was the first cigarette I smoked, when I was about 7. What a rush! I was hooked. Of course, never got that again. -

That is not innocent man! NO! Not innocent in any stretch of anyone's most bizarre imagination. You are a twisted and mighty soul, Mark, that's all I can think of. Whoo! So when you get tired of one of those, you're going to send it to me, right? Sure! Of course! Why else would you buy three Jokers?! Wow. That just blows me away. And I didn't even get one... I'm such a piker! And you're total Man. -
I'm with you GDub, this sounds like the cat's meow. I'm probably gonna spring for the VVPV when it comes out, unless there's some reason to believe this is going to follow almost immediately. I'd wait a couple weeks for this even at close to $300. It'd be a choke, but I could rationalize it sufficiently, I believe. I've said for a long time, just let American ingenuity get hold of this tech, and watch what happens! I'm really looking forward to American attys; that's gonna be the golden moment...

Man I dig these pictures! That's a nice collection of stuff Smy. What are the white bottles in front? And I've never seen nice droppers like that in the Lorann's, very classy. Now I want to see kitsune's! <hint> The best part of this is getting to see what others are using. I have a lot of bottles of stuff but many of them don't get used anymore. That's the experimentation stage of DIY, huh? When I find a flavor that I like and know I'm going to use more in the future, I go ahead and buy a large bottle. It really saves money and frustration. I keep finding more flavors that I know I'm going to use; PA chocolate for example, and FA Mellow Sunset. Another nice thing is that when you order a larger bottle of a favored flavor (), you can use the original smaller bottle to store with your kit, just refilling as needed. Works for me anyway. Good stuff, I hope it keeps coming.

Two Jokers?! You got one for ME? Schizo, you're my best friend! I mean it too! What a guy, man, I don't care what FTJoe says about you, you're the Tops man! Thank you so much! Really though, two Jokers? You must be pretty serious. Probably got two colors, huh? You're my hero for today Schizo. No doubt about it. Wow. I don't think your LR atty is gonna work at 5V; I'm betting it'd pop rather quickly. I popped one on my VP PT in the car, which is 5V, right off the bat. A regular 510 or 510 carto would probably be the ticket at 5V. I'm dying to hear how you like your Joker(s). I'm so jealous! Green, green with envy. Wow. I'm vaping 510 cartos on Woodimus at 6V. That's about a perfect matchup for me. Plenty of TH, and I mix a healthy proportion of VG into it. Probably 35% of the volume is VG, which mellows out the 6V hit and gives very pretty vapor. And flavor! I mix my juice flavor-heavy too, usually about 45%+. It works out great for higher voltage. One nice thing about vaping 48mg is that I don't use as much liquid as I did initially. When I started vaping I was doing a solid 3 ml per day; now it's more like 1.5-1.75 ml. And mixing my own juice, it's really pretty cheap, even throwing away the screwups. Those are getting fewer, but they still happen when I trying something different. My liquid budget is certainly cut in half at least, by virtue of using less and mixing what I use. And by mixing my own, I get to adjust the TH and vapor and flavor to my own preferences. I win! -
Hey Fritchard, I took this pic a couple days after your thread but just now got around to getting it ready. I'm pretty slack sometimes. Worst thing is, I've added a bunch of stuff since this shot. Oh well, you get the picture.
-
Oh man, I LOL, literally, on that one!
-
I don't know how you can beat that one Jeff. Just get some stuff you can make for the Mrs too -- something really special. This is the time to stock up and the best part is he sells larger quantities than 5 ml, so if there's anything you know you like, I'd jump all over it. Well ... I did.

Say Brandon, how about making two? <hint> I'd love to have one but I think that is beyond my fabrication capability. PM me some day if interested. Seriously. Meanwhile, I'm with you on the future of PVs too. I think technology is going to continue to push vaping into a more and more successful lifestyle. And differentiate it from smoking.

Another big component of TH is the device and atty you're using. I should know what Schizo's using but dang me, I can't place it. But believe me when I say, there's a huge difference between 3.7 and 6V regardless the atty you're using, and for me 510s give way more TH than 801s do. So this is probably part of it too. -
Don't kick yourself for smoking Michelle, and for sure no need to ditch your best support group for feeling guilty! Almost everyone here knows exactly what you're talking about. It's all good. I too miss a lot of our former regulars. TSM, keenan, the list could go on. But like Chris said, that's the nature of forums. Someday I'll probably be gone too -- whenever I learn everything. One of the coolest things about VT is that our missing members are missed.

Just a quick heads up -- Brian clued me to the 35% off sale today only with coupon code "mothersday". Happy vaping!

Hey kitsune, they do have it: http://freedomsmokeusa.com/product_info.php?cPath=34_35&products_id=226 Also note, 35% off today with coupon code "mothersday".

Only thing I'd add to this is to be sure to always buy protected batteries only! The protected version of CR123 is RCR123a. Again, only buy protected batteries! Some mods are beginning to be built with protection built into the device, but that is rarely the case at this time. eBay and Amazon are good places to look for battery kits too; you'll want a charger for the batteries you buy. I use Tenergy batts; they're a US company with (presumably) better controls on Chinese manufacturing.

Great find celtic. They have some nice large volume syringes too, which is the best way I've found to measure accurately.

Good job Brian, I never thought of that!

How Much Juice Do You Go Through In A Month?
ddavelarsen replied to mmseng's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
My Freedom Smokes or Wordup. I know there are others, these are just the ones I know of. Personally, I DIY my own these days, it's a whole lot cheaper and I can adjust the flavor and VG to my own taste. The only commercial liquid I've bought in months was some 555 from MFS, because I just cannot nail that recipe. Someday, though. I'm with FTJoe and Schizo on this one, there is no doubt in my mind that I'm a serious nicotine addict. Patches and gum didn't cut it for me because I was craving all the time (and of course, missed the TH). Vaping works for me because it satisfies all the components of smoking. I think that part is true for everyone who's been successful quitting analogs; the real difference is that there are those of us who truly smoked for the nic. I sure did; I'd smoke non-filter analogs until I choked and still want more. That's really what turned me to vaping; my body just could not take the smoke any longer. One thing I've noticed though is that I vape less now than I did initially. I think that's a sign that vaping, regardless the strength of liquid we need for comfort, helps to reduce the addiction. I have some expectation of titrating down over time, and I think that's a good thing! Whether I ever go to 0 is in doubt for me, but I'm hopeful that some day I'll be able to buy liquid from VT Store. That's some good stuff! Vaping lower nic would open a whole new world of flavors. One thing about DIY, at least for me at this point, is that I don't have the range of flavors to choose from; I'm just not that inventive. Still, I've gotten a lot better at that over time too, so maybe I'll become my own one-stop-shop for juice one of these days, and be able to develop, for example, my own Dulcis. I do not believe that high-nic juice is "dangerous" or freaky in any way. Such ideas come from people who are not addicted to nicotine, it's as simple as that. When the FDA gets around to banning our supplies, I think it's likely I'll be back on analogs because they're of the same confused mindset about nic strength. NRTs don't work for me because they're too wimpy. And no TH of course. -
Well of course! Know those feelings you get sometimes when you just go DUH! Well that's what I got this time. I see a great DV order in my future. Mike, I've bought all my flavoring online. Did find a few Lorann's flavors at a local Hobby Lobby, but all the good stuff is online. I buy from Perfumer's Apprentice and Lorann's mostly but when Liberty Flights gets restocked I'll be into more Flavour Art. And I'm sure going for a few of those tasty-sounding DV flavors! That's next on my flavor-shopping agenda.

Sometimes it seems like it, but there are vendors who sell the stuff so we must not be alone. My brother's a high-nic guy too. It just takes more for some of us to make it. I've never had any ill effects, except when I was getting off analogs, which was a big cut even going to 48mg. At 36mg I was vaping non-stop and never feeling satisfied. At least now I can vape about as often as I smoked, and feel mostly comfortable. Perhaps I'm at a point where I could cut back to 36, but every time I've tried that it was very unsatisfying. Still, it's a goal. Save valuable nic base if nothing else! -
Man you hit on one of my favorite things in the world to eat, will give this a try. What's DV?

What Suppliers Have To Put Up With From Some Folks !
ddavelarsen replied to parked's topic in General Vaping Discussion
This is painful guys, and I feel for you vendors. I know these people are out there but fortunately they're few enough that most of us never have to interact with them. My feeling about this issue is nicely captured by a quote from a character in one of my favorite books (and movie), Watchmen. Rorschach says, "You know what I wish? I wish all the scum of the Earth had one throat and I had my hands about it." -

That's awesome man, nice job! Almost makes me think I should dig out that iPod. But I'm sticking with my Droid, and I'll wait patiently for development to catch up. This is a great thing to do for the community interstink, thanks.
