  1. That's the same one I got, but danged if I haven't already outgrown it! And the next one up is just an ugly monster... I like that idea! Please let us see your result when you get it done, I think it's an excellent way to turn people onto vaping. Let em see all the fun you making juice and playing with cool devices.
  2. I wonder if they would sell the concentrate rather than 25%. I don't think that would be strong enough to meet my flavor requirements; I'm making mostly HV juice that has to be strong flavor to get through the cookin.
  3. Yeah, they broke man, just in normal use. Working one minute, not working the next. I haven't sent them for repair because I'm hoping to buy a new unit in a few weeks, VVPV. Anyway that's my story today and I'm sticking to it. Cartos work great in every way for me. I totally recommend them. Note though that not everyone feels that way.
  4. Anybody used these before? Any sense how concentrated they are, maybe compared to Lorann's?
  5. I like that box too, but you're gonna need something to hold about a hundred little bottles pretty soon...
  6. LOL! Thanks Burn, good way to start the day.
  7. I haven't tried them but I guess I'll have to, won't I? Thanks for the recommendation.
  8. WooHoo! Great pic GDub! I dig all that cool stuff! Like kitsune, I dig the lab gear. I bought a couple small graduated cylinders before I started, haven't used them yet and by the time I think I'm going to want to I'm gonna need bigger ones. Live and learn, eh? Looks great! Kitsune, I'll take pics after everything's healed and post in the Lounge. The thing about mine though, is that you won't be able to see the whole thing at once - just like the painting in the cave...
  9. I'm thinking along the lines of something like this, maybe with this hinged to its side so that it folds back-to-back for moving and opens up for work. I guess you could also work it so you could hinge it to close with the drawers in so that they didn't slide out when moving it about. But that wouldn't be very elegant-looking. ()
  10. I saw that box at my local Walmart FTJoe, and it's too small for your stuff. You need a significantly larger one than that. If my experience is any guide, get one about 50% larger than one you think will leave you room to grow, and you'll get all your stuff in it (with little if any room to grow). Not that I'm a downer or anything; just that I recently bought the next size up from that, which is about twice the size, and it's nowhere near big enough for what I want to keep in it... Edit: I'm about ready to buy some kind of big cabinet with many drawers if different sizes, rather than a tackle box. I haven't yet found the right thing because I also want to be able to carry it to the living room where I mix and hang out with my wife. But any larger tackle box than the one I have would start to look ridiculous. At lease a cabinet would look like a cabinet. It's a quandary.
  11. That doesn't strike me as a ripoff; mostly likely as others have said, shipping from China takes a while. Perhaps calling the next day was a bit eager, but I'd think a business that cared about your repeat business would have responded by now. You have two choices; get a refund on your debit card and start over, or wait a few more days to see if the unit arrives (or you get a letter from Customs saying they've taken it from you). And then if you don't receive the unit in a few days I'd get my refund and deal with a known supplier such as those in this forum.
  12. That's awesome! It's great when people apply meaning to their body art. Too many don't, be enough do to make it interesting. Not to take this too far off topic, but on the 29th my wife, sister, brother and I are taking over our favored tattoo shop for the evening. It's a tat bonding evening. My wife is getting a Sanskrit "om" centered in a lotus on the back of her neck (first tat), sister is getting a Celtic triangle/knot to symbolize us siblings, brother getting a raven on his side - counter the prepared-for-life sybolism on his opposite side - and I'm getting the Falling Horse from Lascaux around my left calf. I don't know anyone else who likes cave art the way I do, but it's defined my recreational education for a decade or more. I certainly have done all the reading for a Ph D in anthropology, just haven't done any research to earn a degree. Anyway, most of my limited ink is cave art; the horse wrapped around my calf is surely going to be my ultimate tat. I can't think of a more appropriate image -- and placement for it -- than that. I don't know that I'd ever be able to top it, so I might just stop with that one. (Right.**) Okay, I'll shut up. You can probably tell I'm really psyched about our family ink evening. We're all going to come out of there very close and have a bond that will never be broken. Cool. **One idea that's started to get some traction is to do a 'realistic' replication of the Shaft scene from Lascaux. It has all kinds of paleolithic weirdness going on - hunting accident, myth, shamanizm - it must have had incredible connotations for the people of the time, meaning we can never know. But it's so evocative in my mind that I think I want to do some kind homage to it someday. So, maybe I will get another tattoo eventually. Sorry to get so far off here but kitsune's cool work just made me get all excited again.
  13. If you're interested, I've been experimenting with TH at various voltages. Some of that might apply to 0 nic too. I'd suggest all PG with a touch of everclear, and if you're at 3.7V to use a LR atty. You won't get huge vapor that way but you should be able to feel it. Hope it helps.
  14. Thanks Christopher, this is exactly what I needed to support my argument that the bans are about money. This will go with my cache of articles that'll eventually find its way to HR at my employment. I'm demonstrating that vaping has no ill effects, setting the grounds (one hopes) for acceptance in the workplace. Documentation is everything.
  15. Way to put it up front Celtic! I'm with you 100% that corporations are bleeding us dry for profit, and making a vanilla culture in the process because that makes selling stuff easier for them. How long since you saw an independent bookstore? A corner grocery? How long since congress listened to constituents rather than special interest when drafting legislation? Much of recent legislation has been written by special interests! This is BS. There's one good way to send a message to all legislators: Vote Them Out. We can send this message to anti-vaping legislators specifically. Write, tell your congress critters that you insist on fair and impartial analysis of electronic cigarettes - scientific studies to prove once and for all whether there is any public risk from our lifestyle (we know there is not). The only risk from our lifestyle choice is to big business. Let's put them down! Wish I could join you but that is not going to happen. But I've been a prolific writer to all legislators and that's something we should all do, all the time. Way to go Celtic.
  16. Way to go Joe! That's what I'm talkin about - objectivity! Please keep us posted your results, this could be great.
  17. Thanks a million Christopher! I'm not the kind of person to have a brand preference -- usually. But I have one for Joye, and it's paid off handsomely.
  18. Thanks Kragax, I'll check out Tasty Vapor's sweetener.
  19. Thanks Christopher for answering my question about the Dura 510. As I'm going around being aware of 510s (the 15th is coming up ), I'm trying to compare prices and performance. I don't believe I've ever used the SLB 510s though I know I've had SLB 801s. My question is how do they compare to Joye? I'm vaping at 6V, Joye have worked well for me there. Thanks for any info, folks. Vapor|Talk is a godsend. Edit: Aw, rats, I forgot how the title pushes lowercase for subsequent letters. I've thought about how to override that many times, but sure forgot it today. <rolleyes>
  20. What was your solution on the sweetness? This is something for me to file away for future reference.
  21. I'd forgotten about the protection circuit, good call. Yeah, when both my VP2s died we were down to Woodimus and the VP PT. Since she stays home all day, she wound up with the PT and since I'm mobile I got Woody. It did take a bit of "convincing." As far as I'm concerned, 510 cartos have all the benefits of KR808s, plus steroids. It's almost a perfect alignment of the stars. I'm normally able to refill them about four times, which works out to about 1.6 cartos a week; just a bit higher use-cost than a regular 510, but with convenience and flavor thrown in. Not everyone recommends them, but I've gotten used to using them and like em a lot.
  22. Thanks Christopher! You know everything...
  23. So I was looking over Jeffrey and Lauren's store a while ago and saw the Dura 510. It's a bit more pricey than a regular 510 and the "Dura" name is suggestive. But I'm interested in any actual experience you folks have with these, compared to a 'regular' Joye 510 for example. I'd like to hear a comparison between attys of equal quality if possible. I'm not wealthy by any means but I generally believe you get what you pay for and if these attys are worth the extra money I'd be inclined to purchase. I'm out of regular 510s right now and that disturbs me. Must rectify that problem!
  24. Careful Jeff - it won't take long until you have little bottles rolling all over the top of your desk, dropping on the floor and finding yourself unable to locate that one thing you really need right now! I recently bought what I thought was going to be a very spacious tackle box, with little drawers in it and all kinds of neat sorting boxes and stuff. It was huge! And about half the size I need... So careful how inspired you get! Or just go ahead and find a big cabinet or something with lots of little spaces for organizing your stuff. And some big spaces for the big bottles of stuff. And a place for all the pipettes and syringes and bottle caps and paper towels and storage/mixing bottles you'll need. And. And. And. Whew.
