Tanks like the ones you linked work great although there is most likely a learning curve with its use. The eGo-C comes with a different tank system. Who gets the eGo-C? You or your mom?

Yes Vapor Talk is out of California. I wouldn't bother filling up carts. Most people direct drip into the atomizer ( 3-4 drops) or buy cartomizers.

Since you already have juice, you won't need anything else but the eGo kit. The eGo kit sold in the VT store is a genuine Joyetech kit. You can't go wrong with it.

VT's Choco Java in my eGo-C

Ok I swapped the tank out for a new one and its working like a champ.

Mine was working great last week and today it seemed to not be wicking well. I'm gonna play with it a little and see if I can get it working better.

One thing I noticed today thats a little frustrating is that when you put in a new batt it resets the voltage back to 3V.

I vape 24mg nic juice.

Oh and as to the weight of the Lavatube compared to the Joker. I dont have my Joker anymore, but if my memory serves me correctly the Lavatube is lighter.

The Provape batt (2500 mah) works great. I get at least a day and a half outta it, as opposed to the AW batt ( 1600 mah) I get a day.

The batt I received from Provape is black and has their sticker on it. Its a 2500 mah 18650. its about 3/16 longer than my AW IMR.

I was lucky enough to get on the preorder list and received my Lavatube this week. I only bought the tube and the price was $69. I thought that was a good deal for a VV mod. I already have a Provari and I find myself comparing the two. Essentially the Lavatube is a Chinese knock off of the Provari. That being said the Provari has more bells and whistles and feels like it's better made. The Lavatube is light in weight even with the 18650 batt in it. It takes an AW IMR 18650, the 18650 I bought from ProVape is too long and does not fit. The voltage is adjustable from 3 volts to 6 volts. The up and down control buttons are a little small but easy to use. The unit also has an on/off button which comes in handy when I have the PV in my pocket. The power button feels good and has a nice click to it. There is a nice juice well on top. I have been vaping at 5 Volts with my standard Joye 510 atty and its been hitting like a beast. I also been using the MAP tank with the DC carto at 4.2 volts and its working great. I've only had the unit for a couple of days and have not had any issues yet. I don't want to recommend it yet to anyone because I'm not sure if there will be issues in the future. Its a new mod and hasn't been put through the ringer yet. For those of you that want an entry level VV you can't beat the $69 price tag. I believe the complete set up with batteries & charger is around $100. It comes with a 1 year warranty. I checked on the Volacano E-cigs website and the Lavatube is not for sale yet but should be available in the next couple of weeks.

When mine leaked it was definitely operator error. I would accidentally put too much juice and it would go right down the center tube and make a huge mess. I dont like being so careful so I stopped using em. I still have 3 unopened EMDCC's if you want em DAYVAPE. I'll send em to you.
