I know exactly what you're talking about. I have had the same experience. That's why I have an unused pack of them just sitting on my desk. Sorry I don't have any helpful advice, just wanted to let you know you're not alone in your dislike of them.

I get a good 8 hours outta mine. Maybe sumthins wrong with the batt? I remember a couple years ago we were really happy to get 2 hrs outta a batt

The numbers refer to the battery's diameter & length in mm. A 14500 batt has a diameter of 14mm, a length of 50mm & the last "0" indicates its round. The 5V PV you talk about either has a booster chip which bumps the 3.7 V up to 5 or it has a regulator which bumps the 7.4V down to 5. Im not sure how that mod works.

I never really like the flavor I got from the eGo-T. Got a lot of dry hits. The eGo-C seems to work much better.
