Hmmmmmmm, maybe the carto is flooded? How did it vape before you filled the tank?

Welcome to Vapor Talk Gunner. It sounds like the juice is not getting into your cartos in the tank. Did you prime the carto first? ( add about 20 drops to the carto before filling the tank) Sometimes a juice with a high concentrate of VG doesnt wick well into the carto.

Sometyimes we forget that we are just a very small part of the e-cig market. There are many more that just buy the standard kits and either try it out and go back to smoking or stick with it.

I have not used the Vision one. I have the Kanger T2 ( eGoCC) clearomizer http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/ and have not had any taste issues

The short wick was the first generation Visions. I also find that even with the long wicks its better to keep em full

Most likely its carbonized burnt liquid. If your carto is spitting hot liquid and producing black specs I would say its running very hot. Time to throw it away and try a new one.
