The 510 connector is an inanimate object and cannot mod anything.

I have read reviews on those mods you listed and they dont get good reviews. They may work ok for awhile but dont last. I think the Silver Bullet is one of the best standard 3.7V mods out there. Its durable and long lasting. http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/silverbulletusa/altsilverbullet.html

I have only used the Vivi Nova and Vision Clearos on it. I haven't noticed any weird sounds emanating from it.

I would think the gun metal one would be less finger print prone, although it is a shiny gun metal and you will get finger prints, just not as noticeable as the chrome one. I did see a post on another forum where a guy had the gun metal one and the gun metal coating was wearing off. I have not had that issue.

Most of my clearos last at least a month,
