Wait for the Joker from Vaprlife... 5V and not much bigger than a VP2.

How The News Feeds You Its Content

Spot on! I worked in broadcast news for long enough that this stuff drives me insane. -
I never used the capella drops myself, but I'v used my share of LorAnn's and I can tell you that 20% flavoring can be a good place to start. Some are stronger than others and don't require that much, but 20% was suggested to me by members of this forum and has proven to be a great starting point if you want a very flavorful e-juice.

I have a little electric tea kettle I like to use to clean my attys. I just fill it up, turn it on, then pour it through the attys as I hold them with a slightly modified set of tweezers (I just wrapped the ends with a little electric tape so I don't scratch the finish when holding the atty).

That should help, however it may be the PG that is irritating you too, a small percentage of users actually have an allergy towards it. Try stepping down the nic content, if that doesn't help look for an all VG based or Reduced PG juice and see if that is better.
-
I'd just like to add that I would recommend using distilled water when cleaning attys. Hard water minerals can build up on the coil and cause more problems than the e-juice itself.
-
You can purchase citric acid in some grocery stores, I picked up some awhile back, it comes in little crystals you can dissolve into some warm distilled water I guess. I've never tried adding citric acid to my juices yet, but as Jmhester said some e-juice suppliers do use it.
-
Holy ****. That is pretty insane, I wonder if this has happened to anyone else?

Hey Jen, I have used the JC juices in the past and I never had issues with the droppers making a mess. Is it possible your's is defective, do you have a few and they all make messes? As Carguy said you can just transfer the juices to a plastic dropper bottle if you prefer. I actually have washed out all of my old JC bottles and now use them when I mix my own juice at home, personally I love the glass bottles with droppers.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin PG = Propylene Glycol

Ok, first thanks for the link to Mixology guys, I checked it out very briefly. My issue with it is it only has a few selectable values for things like nic strength, drops per ml, etc. Which would be fine, but they don't include all the values I need, for instance they only give you the option to go as high as 60mg strength nic base, I mix with 100mg. If there was an option to input custom values it would be more useful. For now I'm totally cool with just leaving a shortcut on my phone's desktop to the online calculator. My phone displays that page just fine, so I really have no need to use up any space on my phone's internal storage with an app when I can just access a webpage which actually has more functionality.

I have a few questions before I can really look into this for you- What OS? (please be specific) What browser are you using? Do you have toolbar add-ons, extensions, etc?
-
Ok, gonna have to disagree. Up until the last few months iPhone has had the edge in hardware, but that's all. Android is a superior OS, but it has been running on inferior hardware. Now comes the new SnapDragon processors, along with beautiful OLED displays, capacitive touch, the list goes on. The iPhone is going to have to step it up if you want it to stay on top. As far as Steve Jobs goes... he's not making that many decisions at this point due to failing health, and this little feud they have going with Google only means you'll be losing some of your beloved apps. Apple refused to allow the Google Voice app in it's market place because it said it was a redundant service. Really? Last time I checked ATT and the iPhone did not offer any services that I would compare to Google Voice. It all boils down to Apple thinks they are too cool for school, they believe their own hype and press and it's making them sloppy.

General Questions: How long have electronic cigarettes been around? They've been gaining popularity over the last few years, not sure when they actually hit the market. How safe is the vapor? (How easy is it to overdose on nicotine?) Vapor is pretty safe, using an e-juice 24mg strength or less makes it fairly difficult to really over do it and make yourself sick. That's not to say you couldn't do it, but you'd have to really be chain vaping and then you have no one to blame but yourself. Why does Firefox think vapor is not spelled correctly?! (well that one is a little off topic :/) My Firefox is cool with it How long have you been vaping? Been analog free for over 70 days now, but I had tried the e-cig before that, I just didn't by any spare atomizers, when my only one burned out I went back to analogs for a little bit, now I'm back on track, and I have plenty of spare atomizers at all times. Did you start vaping to quit smoking, or for just a "safer" switch? I started vaping because I did want to quit smoking, and it worked well. now that I have made the initial investment I'm not in a hurry to quit. It's much less expensive, less damaging to my health, and I enjoy it immensely. Did it work? Hells yes. How long did it take you to quit? Took me maybe 24 hours, but took my wife a couple weeks to totally quit. A buddy of mine just quit after 2 days with his first e-cig ever. Can you give a good reason too start using an electronic cigarette other than health reasons? You'll save money, smell better, and you can use them indoors (most places). Choice and Price: In your experience, have you actually saved money by switching? Definitely, and the savings continue to get better after you make the initial investment. Compared to cartons of cigarettes, what was your start-up cost? You can get a good 510 starter kit for around $50, plus some extra juice, you're lookin' at about $80-$100 What is the difference between a 510 and a pen-style? (Man I hope that's not the same thing) They are just 2 different models of atomizers, 510 is more compact. Is there a comparison chart for all the brands and/or models? ??? You'll find 510s and 801 penstyles are favorites here. Usage: On average, how long does a bottle of juice last you? When I'm at home using my 5V passthrough all day I can go through 3ml in a day. At 3.7V maybe 1.5ml-2ml On average, how long does a battery last before you have to buy a new one? The manual batteries tend to hold up longer, but I'd recommend buying a mod unit that uses cheaper batteries. On average, how long does a vaporizer last before you have to buy a new one? Most atomizers should last around 1 month, anything after that is a bonus in my mind. But with good care they can last much longer than 1 month. Compared to smoking a normal cigarette, do you have to reload (rejuice) your e-cig? If so, how many times? When direct dripping I'd say it's pretty close to about 1/2-1 cig every time I add 3 drops, with a cartridge you get more time between fills. Compared to smoking a normal cigarette, is smoking an e-cig as satisfying? For me it's more satisfying in many ways, but there is an adjustment phase. Once the juice is loaded into the cartridges how long does it take to evaporate before it's unusable? Left open to the air I wouldn't leave it more than 24 hrs, but I really don't know, i prefer to direct drip myself and fill cartridges (if I'm using one) right before I use it. Those are just my opinions and experiences, so keep asking around and you'll find all the answers you need. Welcome to the forum.

This one of the few battery packs I have seen that is both affordable and looks like it can power the VP-PT. Don't be fooled by those Duracell units for about $20, they don't work in my experience. I'm not going to get one purely because that's $30 that can go towards my Joker in a month or so, and ultimately that will be an even more portable 5V vape.

With a Li-Ion battery the charge will dissipate over time, I think you would be able to notice it after a week or so. Also I have seen where they do recommend not storing them fully charged, but not fully discharged either. Honestly I don't think it makes a huge difference in the life of the battery either way. For me @ $5.00 a battery I find it's best to just not think about it.

LOL... that sounds exactly like my company! They'd have to let go way to many people if they implemented any kind of drug testing policy. But would you expect anything less from artists and musicians? I feel like what I do while I'm off the clock is none of their concern, and I'm glad they feel the same way.
-
I think because it only pertains to new hires it's not that big of a deal. I look at it like any kind of pre-employment drug test, if that company has a policy prohibiting drug use it's their right to enforce it. I've had jobs I had to pass drug tests for in the past, and at the time that meant making some choices for me. Ultimately if you want the job, be sure you can pass the test. Sorry, I know I may be standing by myself on this issue, but it's a pre-employment screening, while it is on the extreme side in my opinion I respect that company's right to enforce any policies they have on their staff. They may start missing out on qualified hires because of this policy, and ultimately they will suffer if that is the case.

Yeah throat hit is that tickle in your throat. The juice you use will also contribute to the throat hit. If you find that the volcano isn't cutting it for you check out either a 510 or 801 penstyle. Also as others mentioned a high voltage mod will make a dramatic difference. My 5V VP-PT can make me cough if I hit it too hard.

It's not going to feel or taste exactly like you're smoking a KOOL. Hopefully what it will do is give you an acceptable alternative. For me I have tried quitting with the gum, the patch, even mild anti-depressants, none of them worked out for me, ultimately because I too enjoyed the act of smoking itself. Replacing that with vaping was a perfect alternative for me. It will take a little getting used to, but as most people here will tell you eventually you will come to prefer the experience of vaping over smoking.

Check it gang, Baberim posted a nice write up on his site... http://punchdrunkinternet.com/?p=1855 I'll give you 3 guesses as to who the friend that tries to sell him everything is...

I started with an M401 kit awhile back and it wasn't too bad. The automatic batteries are the worst part, a manual style battery will generally last longer and perform better. As far as the M401 atty, it's not bad, but I will agree with the other posts above and say the 510 kicks out more vapor in a relatively similar form factor. Welcome to the VT Forum!
