  1. I've been saying this for years! Glad someone really articulated it well.
  2. Isn't that the truth! I pretty buy anything I want when it comes to this stuff and I still save money over smoking analogs. Seriously, I have built up a good stockpile and could easily go "off the grid" for over a year with all my spares and e-juice and I still have saved money even if I quit vaping today and gave it all away.
  3. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger and buy a Joker now, I'm not buying any other PVs until this thing hits the market. I'm not 100% sure I want to be an early adopter, would kind of like to sit back and watch the reviews roll in, but there's another part of me that says just buy it the day it comes out. Who am I kidding, I'll probably have it on pre-order!
  4. Yeah, so there is always a ban looming on the horizon lately, I mean Big Tobacco doesn't take kindly to losing money, so you can trust they are hard at work with their lobbyists and buddies at the FDA looking for any excuse to ban sales here in the USA.
  5. Try the "HTML Code" option.
  6. Copy the HTML code generated when you create the banner and insert it into your profile signature.
  7. Shelf life of nicotine is about 2 years from what I've pieced together. I ordered 500ml of 125mg/ml nicotine base a couple weeks back and after I cut in to an appropriate strength and flavor it I'm looking at about 3500ml of juice and I can mix new flavors whenever I choose. As far as attys go, I have 24 untouched attys right now (about 8 in circulation between my wife and I), would like another 20 or so. Batteries are not an issue because I we both use mods that take generic rechargeable batteries (18650, RCR123a, 10440, etc.).
  8. Grats Ouster, it's always good to have spare parts. You'll find a few of us on this forum that are stockpiling for the vaping apocalypse right now, I hope I'm wrong but just in case I'm not I'm setting aside about 2 years worth of atomizers and juice for me and my wife. Cheers.
  9. The more I think about this mod and spend time reading up on PWM the more I really like it. The ability to ramp the power really should prolong atomizer life, and with this device you could really dial in your atomizers to power them precisely the way you want to. Even if this is $300 I would still rather purchase it than any other mod I've seen to date (provided the manufacturer provides a good warranty) it's a totally new take on powering the atomizer, and according to the research I've done is vastly superior to what we are using today. Sign me up guys, if this thing is even close to what they are saying it will be this is the PV for me.
  10. I absolutely love the BE112s on the SB @ 6V. BE112s are an 801 penstyle atty made by BestECig, they have a 3.5ohm resistance and not only do they provide great flavor but the vapor output is great too. I have BE112s that have been kickin' for close to 6 months now (I do rotate through about 5 attys at any given time for flavor changes). As to the 510s, I'm just not a huge fan like so many others on this forum, but I have used them quite a bit and they are a nice compact alternative, but I still find myself defaulting to my BE112s 90% of the time.
  11. Life tends to get in the way. When I'm travelling heavily for work I know I post much less on all of my forums.
  12. Yeah, in my experience the more components used the more likely the device is to fail. That aside a device like this is appealing to me. It's just really refreshing to see people taking a completely new approach to these devices.
  13. Okay, I'll break down cutting 100mg/ml nicotine base. If I want to make 30ml of 24mg strength juice than the math is pretty simple- Divide the Strength of the desired result by the Strength of the Nicotine Base in this case 24 / 100 = 0.24 Now Multiply that result by the Amount of Juice you are making in this case 0.24 x 30ml = 7.2ml That 7.2ml is the amount of base you need to add to achieve your desired strength. Now just subtract that from the desired amount in our case 30 - 7.2 = 22.8ml So that would be 7.2ml of 100mg/ml nicotine base with 22.8ml of PG or VG to equal 30ml of 24mg/ml e-juice. EDIT: I forgot to show how to figure in flavoring to the equation, it's the same basic math- So if you are using 15% flavoring that works out to 0.15 x 30 = 4.5ml of Flavor So total breakdown is- (30ml of 24mg/ml e-juice) 7.2ml of 100mg/ml nicotine base 4.5ml of Flavoring 18.3 ml of VG or PG That same math will work for any other strength base, it's just a lot easier working with 100mg/ml base because of it being fractions and all. Hope that helps. Cheers.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check that stuff out, love a good Banana flavor, and I'm glad to hear it's not artificial tasting.
  15. Thanks for the link Will, definitely a better fit for this idea.
  16. Carguy50 you are absolutely right. I can almost guarantee this thread lost them some potential customers, even if you agree with what is being said, you can't help but notice the quick escalation of the conflict by both parties. No one is really in the right here in my opinion.
  17. Missed removing his name a couple of times.... !@#$%^& *()_+, response? Edit: Sorry not to call it out, but it's right there in the post. I actually had the same issue with my VP-PT and after contacting Mary at Vaprlife we came to a mutually beneficial agreement, you catch more flys with honey, or something like that.
  18. I like the DIY approach to juice. Allows me to make subtle changes to the flavor to better suit my taste. But that being said I'd suggest trying some sample packs from a few different resellers until you have a good idea of what you like best, taste is just such a subjective thing.
  19. That looks cool. I'm glad to see some good, new innovations. Not just bigger batteries and brighter colors like so many others seem to be doing lately. My only issue with "The Precious" is how do you accurately control your voltage?
  20. This is getting closer... http://shop.tuxgraphics.org/electronic/detail_dvmmodule.html Here is a reference manual for it if you need more details... http://www.tuxgraphics.org/electronics/200903/three-digit-display.shtml Looks quite a bit smaller, definitely much cheaper, the more I think about this I may just have to give it a go.
  21. Maybe something like this... http://www.electronics-diy.com/product_details.php?pid=505&name=70V%20PIC%20Voltmeter%20Amperemeter%20(Parts) I know it's $40, I'm looking for something cheaper, but this is my general idea, this mod is already seeming too big...
  22. Found this looking around for some DIY Mod parts- http://www.amazon.com/Step-adjustable-switching-voltage-regulator/dp/B001GQ9RWO Adjustable Voltage Regulator... if you had a way to monitor the voltage (digital display?) could be a cool mod waiting to happen.
  23. Hmmm, I really hadn't planned on going because I have to travel out of town (just to Dallas) that week for work, but I'll run it by the wife and see if she's down. I'm not usually the most social person so I tend to ignore these events, but it never hurts meet some people with similar interests from my neck of the woods. Like I said I'll run it by the wife (after being gone all week long she may not appreciate me scheduling a weekend event) but I'll definitely give it a shot.
  24. It would be interesting to see how someone could work that into a mod. But to my understanding it's just the same circuitry already present on a protected battery as is, correct?
