  1. Lot's of fluids and rest... fell better Keenan
  2. The drain of a LED is so much less than the atomizer that it really doesn't matter at all. I'd have to sit down and do the math but my guess is the LED maybe takes away one drag of power for duration of an entire charge. Not sure that was very clear, but seriously LEDs take very little power to operate, the heating element in the atomizer draws much, much more power.
  3. Could be the batteries as well... hard to say.
  4. Grats Jmhester!
  5. I'm really just barely starting to break even myself. But I do think over time I'll really notice the extra cash in my bank account.
  6. Just to clarify, the Amp rating is just as important as the Volt rating, a car adapter running 5V @ 1A = 5Watts, where as a 5V @ 2A = 10Watts, big difference in current between the two devices.
  7. Yeah I don't share my e-cig with anyone other than the wife. Hell I made my sister use an old cartridge then throw it away when she was done with it the day she wanted to try my VP1. I've managed to make it almost 28 years on this earth without getting cold sores, don't really want to break my hot streak now, lol.
  8. Hahaha, nice Keenan, keep 'em coming.
  9. In my lifetime of experience I would have to completely disagree with that statement, not trying to fan the flames here, but people often "stick to their stories" so to speak. Again I'm not calling you a liar, just disagreeing with your logic here. As to Mary's response to your post I don't think she crossed a line, she merely made her statement as to her side of the story. I don't expect the two of you to come to an understanding anytime soon because of it, but just like you she has every right to use this forum to speak her mind. Seriously I hope you can resolve this, right now no one wins, they are missing a unit and you have broken one, just a bad situation all around. Also please remember this is a small business, they don't have the luxury of just trusting you blindly, each unit comes at a cost to them.
  10. Anytime Nana! When you get your VP PT I definitely recommend buying this adapter. Like I said it feels solid, the connectors on the side of the adapter really push back hard for a good, tight connection, no wobble at all. Also my phone charges from mini USB so the extra mini USB was another huge plus. I stream Pandora from my phone when I'm driving around town for work and this way I don't have to carry extra batteries with me for an 8 hour trip.
  11. Great tutorial, and I'd like to say I appreciated the impromptu Peter Gabriel in the 3rd video, that song gets stuck in my head too!
  12. I know a lot of the members here are really into the JC flavors, personally I think that nutty base flavor they have goes really well with certain flavors. Tennessee Cured being one of my favorites I'm actually curious to try your recipe myself.
  13. Congratulations! Be sure to keep spare parts handy (attys especially) you never know when something will burn out! Keep up the good work Dlynne.
  14. As always an interesting read here Jmhester, I'm curious as to where you got the 10%-40% absorption rate from, not in anyway disputing it, but I'm surprised you were able to find that information at all. Keep more of this stuff coming, this is good info for all of us.
  15. Hey Dlynne, I use my 5V VP Passthrough in my car all the time, you may want to check the Amp rating on your adapter, if it's too low that would explain it not working. This is the USB Car adapter I use- http://www.target.com/Speck-Products-Roadduo-Car-Charger/dp/B00268BX3C/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&frombrowse=0&node=1038576&keywords=speck&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&id=Speck%20Products%20Roadduo%20Car%20Charger&field_availability=-2&refinementHistory=subjectbin,target_com_age,target_com_gender-bin,target_com_character-bin,price,target_com_primary_color-bin,target_com_size-bin,target_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=target104545&searchPage=1&field_keywords=speck It's great because it provides 5Volts @ 2Amps for a total output of 10W, which is exactly what my AC Wall adapter for my Passthrough is. Also I can still have my cell phone charging at the same time with this adapter, I really can't praise it enough, except for the fact that it costs $25, a little pricey, but this unit is solid and works fantastic.
  16. That sucks, but if they never received the unit that you were supposed to return I can understand them not servicing your broken unit. Unfortunately you can't prove that you did return it, but I would imagine they have records of sending it to you. Lesson be learned, keep your receipts, tracking slips, delivery confirmation, etc. Again I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, but you have no proof of your side of the story, and I have personally witnessed the Vaprlife customer service through this forum and I think many people would agree with me when I say Jeso takes care of his customers, within reason of course. If I were you I would attempt to contact them again and see if they will repair it for a small fee or something, at least you'd have a working PV that way, or try to fix it yourself... it's a tough situation, good luck.
  17. same goes for computer USB ports
  18. Very nice, I would like to add that during the discussion about the USB AC adapters it should be noted that the Amp rating pays a very large role in the performance of the PT. The adapter supplied runs 5Volts @ 2Amps for a 10Watt output. Many USB AC cell phone chargers run at 1Watt or less, supplying much less current to the device.
  19. Do you have a preference on your atomizers? Not all mods have adapters like the VP series to allow the use of multiple kinds of attys (though you may be able to find a generalized adapter somewhere that would work, I haven't looked myself). Also are you looking for a specific voltage? If you just want an all around good solid mod that gives you options I would recommend the VP1 or VP2, both solid units (I have had a VP for over a month now and still love it). If you want something like a 5V battery mod unit check out the Prodigy from PureSmoker. Or maybe wait and see what is in store for us with the Maserati and the Joker being released early next year.
  20. I haven't been really sick since I started vaping yet (thank god) so I can't really comment too much, but I have noticed that I have some days where the vapor can be very irritating to my throat and lungs, and other days where it's super smooth and enjoyable. Not really sure what triggers this reaction for me, but most days are a very pleasant experience.
  21. I have to agree that many of the people on this forum will most likely never stop checking out new PV units as they are developed. It's just another toy I get to play with, and compared to my other hobbies / interests / occupational purchases it's pretty cheap. Not only that but compared to my smoking habit I'd still end up saving money even if I bought a new PV about once every 1-2 months. I'm really looking forward to eventually picking up a nice 5V battery mod unit, but will probably chill on the PV purchases until then. Between my VP PT, VP1 and the Spade I'm pretty set for the time being, but that being said I'm still looking at various 5V battery mods and planning to purchase one sometime early next year after we see the Joker and Maserati (I'm assuming these will be 5V battery mods... but we all know where assumptions can get you). So yeah, even if they developed the atomizer that never dies, I'll probably still purchase it's next revision when it's developed. I'm a gearwhore as it's called in my industry, plain and simple.
  22. Has anyone actually used one of these JC e-pumps? I'd love to hear some comments as to people's personal experiences with them. On a side note, you can buy them in bulk from Freund Container and Supply dot com... http://www.freundcontainer.com/product.asp?pn=2342B11&ss=&bhcd2=1260806602 and the price per unit drops significantly. I think they have a small order fee the comes out to like $15 or something, but even with that fee you can pick them up by the dozen for less than $4 per unit.
  23. When I've done it in the past 2 filters is a little much, 1.5 ends up being about right for me.
  24. Yup, Spade arrived today along with my extra attys and juice!
