ecigarette How do you guys handle the craving for smoking.
Tam replied to DenZacker's topic in Introduce Yourself
A cigalike style vaporizer then. That's probably why you can't get completely off cigarettes. I would suggest getting an eGo-style battery like an eGo Twist or a Vision Spinner and a Kanger Pro Tank mini 3 with 1.8 ohm coils and some juice. If you like the wild cherry flavor, there are many vendors that have that available. Depending on how many cigarettes per day you smoke (if it's about a pack a day of regular to lights), I'd go with the 18 mg or even go up to 24 mg of nicotine and perhaps a 50PG/50VG mix. Just a thought. That should get you off the cigarettes. Don't forget to get a charger and AC adapter for charging! Others should come along shortly to add their recommendations. -

If you want, you can just get some sweetener like FlavorWest and add your own. Getting away from cigarettes will depend on your battery, the tank, and the juice (nicotine and PG/VG content). What are you using now? -
Oh goodness, no! We couldn't have that! Boy, am I glad you talked us both into buying these then.
-
Well, Earthling talked himself into buying another one when he found them at Mt. Baker Vaper for only $49.99. He couldn't resist at that price.
-
Got another email from Kidney Puncher and they said that they don't have any fixes for me but are willing to replace it with one from a new batch they're expecting soon. Their customer service is impressive! On the other hand, Earthling caught me in a weak moment and I now have an authentic Russian 91% on its way. I think he convinced himself to buy another one too. lol
-
What resistance do you build your coils at? Earthling got to me and I've just bought an authentic Russian 91% but will keep the Lemo in mind. Might wind up getting it anyway somewhere down the line.
-
Yep, the matte finish. My OCD hates fingerprint magnets. *falls over laughing* You first.
-
Oh, and lookie! I just happen to have a huge spool of A1 Kanthal in 28ga. It's looking good already. I also committed to memory Dragongunner's tutorial on wicking for RTAs so it should go fairly smoothly. *crosses fingers*
-
Okay, I just pulled the trigger on the Russian 91% from Mt. Baker Vapor. Thanks for helping me spend money, Earthling. Got paid early and I just couldn't let it sit in my back account without buying something...
-
I'd like to use that, but it would be a poor excuse for my bad behavior. My apologies.
-
So... if I were going to pop for an authentic Russian 91%, where would you recommend I get it?
-
You finally wore me down, Earthling. Do your worst... or maybe best would be a better word choice? I keep hearing you talk about the Russian. Authentic or clone? The V1 / V2, is that the KFL or Russian that you're referring to?
-
Lol. I deserved that! I really should back away from the keyboard when I'm sick and taking meds. That doesn't help at all...
-
Ah, okay. I see what I did there. Was talking about the subtank and then switched subjects (without saying so), and was talking about the build deck for the Triton, which is sold separately. Rich, my sincere apologies for jumping off on you like that. Got my wires crossed trying to talk about two different things at the same time.
-
No, haven't tried a Lemo, I'm just now getting into RTAs -- although Earthling has been trying to get me into them forever now. lol Yes, please give it a try and report back. The Triton, when it works, was an excellent mouth to lung tank. It's got a few glitches to be fixed, however.
-
My subtank If we were, then I owe Rich an apology for getting all huffy for him thinking I couldn't build my own coil.
-
The Triton sells them separately and were a pre-order item.
-
And more options come around every day. Welcome to vaping.
-
"That" tells you wrong. And why would you assume that I need someone else to build a coil for me if I'm waiting on an RBA? Actually, I just ordered the build deck so I'm waiting for that to get here. I'm perfectly capable of building my own coils, and have been doing fine with my RDAs for some time now.
-
Rich, I really appreciate your suggestions and I don't want you to think I'm shooting any of them down. Looks like we're on the same page because I've already tried all the air flow settings, started on the lowest power setting and moved up, and am using a 3" drip tip. I really did try everything I could to like the subtank mini and make it work. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the RBA, but I'm waiting for that to come in.
-
Tried the iClear 30 way back in the day and found it has too much wick (that's all I could taste), for me. There are other "perfect" mouth to lung tanks like the Kanger Pro Tanks and minis (one, two and three), the Davide and mini, Aerotank and Aerotank V2... but those are not sub ohm tanks. The sub ohm tank that allows for great mouth to lung hits is what I'm looking for now.
-
Me too, I wanna know.
-
*falls over laughing* Okay, I'll play. iStick 50W 40 PG/60 VG at 3 mg nic. 1.5 ohm coil at 10W, airflow wide open
-
Lol! Actually, three in front of me, one in purse and one in briefcase. The Spinners and IPV mini and mini 2 are "for emergencies". But I like your idea better!

I've got five now...
