  1. Are you still planning to go to Paris next year? Hopefully, things will be much better there in a year's time, although I can see why you'd be freaked in light of recent events. The world is not the same place it was when I was younger. In some ways it's better but there's so much that isn't. :(
  2. You've put my feelings into words, Bebop. On top of stress of work (we had a drive-by shooting on campus last week, major electric outage and a call for emergency medical care for a student today...), I haven't had time or the patience to dig into how to make VT the way I want it. The little frustrations like typing in : lol : or : ) that sometimes turn into emoji but most times don't since the change are making me throw my hands up and give up for the night. LOL I'm very interested to hear tips from others so maybe alleviate some of this frustration. I hope your schedule eases up on you soon! :)
  3. Brick & Mortar stores always charge more than online due to their increased overhead. They have rent to pay, employees, advertising, etc. I doubt that most B&Ms are trying to rip anyone off by charging higher prices, they have to in order to make a profit. It might not be a bad idea to go back to the store to have them troubleshoot your issues for a quick fix. Then, come back here and read through the threads. There's so much information that it'll make your head go all hurty. :)
  4. You set it that high to start??? I've got one that I have set at 7.7W with a 1.8 ohm coil and am thinking about turning it down some more. :D
  5. My opinion would be that you could get "big" flavor with an Aspire tank and 1.8 ohm coil on an eGo battery with the right juice. I get plenty of flavor on my Aspire Nautilus mini with 1.8 ohm coil on many of my juices (40 PG/60 VG). Some of them might need an extra hit of flavor added. With the PG/VG ratio I use, I also get really good vapor production as well. No need to sub-ohm if you don't want to. Personally, I wouldn't go beyond 30 PG/70 VG max with the Nautilus. More VG and the flavor gets too muted. More VG in a juice = smoother vape, less throat hit, more vapor, thicker juice More PG and/or nicotine content = more throat hit, thinner juice (PG is the flavor carrier) All of what you're wanting can be gotten with the rig you already have, just adjust your juice ratio and that should do the trick. :)
  6. Usually I'm one of those who practice spending other people's money, but this time I'm staying well away from the site. There are too many temptations there and I'd probably forget what I went there for originally and wind up with LOTS of new toys. :)
  7. Interesting method of shopping. I like it. :)
  8. Glad you found another use for the flavorings, that's pretty clever! I'll just take my coffee black and plain though. :)
  9. I love Five Pawn's Queen Side, it's a blood orange with French vanilla. To me, it's worth the price tag. I've tried their other flavors too but none of them stuck with me like the Queen Side.
  10. Color me a masochist, but I just ordered an Aspire Triton V2 from Vapor Royalty and a 5-pack of 1.8 ohm coils from Vapor DNA ($13.99 per 5-pack). I hope they got the center post thing fixed because I really liked this tank otherwise. :)
  11. Got my four Kanger Pro Tank II in yesterday. Boy, those are hard to find anymore!~ :)
  12. You don't necessarily need to learn to build coils -- you could go old school and use an atomizer. https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/510t-atomizer-low-resistance/ That's a low resistance atomizer (probably 1.5 ohm). There's a slight learning curve but nothing like what you'd have to learn how to properly build a coil and learn to wick it correctly. When I use these to test flavors, I keep similar flavors together. For example, I'll use one to test the lighter fruit flavors. You drip a few drops, vape until you get a semi dry hit. Drip a few drops of another flavor, drip some more (the first few hits will taste like a combination of the two flavors, which could be very tasty!), keep another for the bakery good flavors, etc. Coffee and mints are very strong flavors so you'll definitely want to keep them separate. Just another option. :)
  13. Looks like you figured it out. Welcome to Vapor Talk. :)
  14. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/26/cigarette-smoking-decline_n_6855468.html An interesting article about how cigarette smoking is in decline. I particularly like the first several comments from readers...
  15. Got an email at work about a workshop being given by our health "specialists" and they're going to address tobacco and e-cigarettes. The bullshit propaganda and misinformation in their flier made me see red. I'm so tempted to go and educate them but then again, since it's at work, I can't go shooting off my mouth like I'd want.
  16. You're still a noob, but you can post in other sections of the forum.
  17. That's what I was going to ask. lol I'm moving this thread over to the DIY section where it belongs. :)
  18. Earthling is always on the ball and knows all the good sales going on. :)
  19. Looks like the government is making a hail Mary with this one. They miss all the tax money they're not getting from lagging cigarette sales. If they regulate e-cig and juice sales to death, they hope to send all vapers back to smoking again. Ugh.
  20. Welcome to Vapor Talk. Okay, first, we call it "vaping" and not "smoking". You get smoke from an e-cigarette? That means you're doing something wrong and there's something on fire. Before going any further, if you're not a cigarette smoker, why do you want anything to do with vaping? Vaping is still not proven to be safe, we former smokers do have cause to believe it's less hazardous to our health than cigarettes, which is why we made the switch.
  21. The wraps help the grip on them, otherwise, the 50W are a little slippery -- to me.
