  1. With all those tanks I hope you're buying more than one iStick 50W or at least another mod/battery for a back up.
  2. I have seven of them but I use the 1.8 ohm coil and not the Clapton.
  3. Long time no see, Joe. Good to have you back.
  4. For someone who is still relatively new to vaping, I would suggest a battery that's integrated in the unit so you don't have to worry about getting just the right battery for temperature control or sub-ohming. If neither of these are on your horizon right now but you want something a step (or several steps) above an eGo battery and disposable tanks, I would suggest an Eleaf iStick 50W. I wouldn't suggest or recommend that you plug it into a USB to recharge. For safety's sake, I always use an AC adapter that's specially made for this unit. Even though I'm an advanced user of sorts, I still prefer the ease and convenience of not having separate batteries. I have both kinds but the iStick is my favorite even above my Provari, which is supposed to be the Cadillac of e-cigs. The iStick 50W has a 4400 mAh battery so I only have to charge it once every 3 - 5 days of near constant vaping. Buy two or more of these so you can use one while the other is charging. Due to some people having issues with these, I always take the tank off and turn the device off before charging, and never leave a charging battery unattended. Right now I have six of these in rotation with three more in the wings as back ups and have never had a problem with them although a couple of other members have had some issues. You can get them here for $34.95, which is an excellent price for the "simple pack" which only has the USB charging cord. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Eleaf-iSmoka-iStick-50W-4400mAh-Simple-Pack-p/elis-is50wbk.htm The Aspire Triton version 2 with a 1.8 ohm coil is my current favorite tank. I also do the mouth to lung and this tank is perfect for that in my opinion. For the intermediate type of tank, this one is on the higher end. Again, this is my opinion only. It can take sub-ohm coils, there are all kinds of different coils you can use with this tank but I don't like warm to hot vapor, cool is my temperature of choice. In the "kit" you'll get the tank (plastic) as well as a Pyrex tank so you can switch them out. One coil is 1.8 ohm and the other coil is a 0.5 ohm. You said you heard about coils that come with tanks and how you should just throw them out? Keep them in case of an emergency but otherwise, yeah, coils that come with tanks are usually... crap. Or nearly crap. Do yourself a favor and get 5-packs of replacement coils right off the bat. You'll never be sorry to have more coils on hand. This link here is the best price I've found and the vendor is excellent: https://www.mtbakervapor.com/tanks/aspire-triton-v2-clearomizer/ There are four different coils on this page: https://www.mtbakervapor.com/accessories/5pk-aspire-triton-replacement-coils/ There. That's my recommendation. Others should be along to give you theirs soon. @Earthling789 @jasonculp @Compenstine @cany Just to name a few... Let the games begin!
  5. Relax. Your KGD pads are safe from me. I think there's still 76 pads left in my bag of them.
  6. Those are very dangerous words to utter here. First, let me ask you some questions, then, we can get on to spending your money recommending equipment for you. Do you want a kit or go a la carte? Do you want a variable voltage/variable wattage device and/or TC (temperature control)? Do you have a preference for something that has the battery integrated into the unit or one where you can take the batteries out (this would require an additional purchase of a battery charger and batteries). How do you vape? Are you mouth to lung (like smoking a cigarette where you draw the vapor into your mouth first before inhaling) or direct lung (where you inhale directly into your lungs)? This is so we can better recommend the right style of tank for you. That will do for a start. Other questions will come later as we further fine tune the recommendations.
  7. There are still A&W restaurants, they just use the package syrup. No more homemade made from scratch rootbeer.
  8. Good place to start is to read past threads. There's a lot of good information in the comments. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  9. When I opened the first Triton V2, I was really surprised to find that modification. That was one of the things that didn't need to be "fixed" yet they did anyway. I have a confession to make: I ordered another V1 because I want to see if I can Frankenstein the best of the two versions together to make the perfect tank. I'm curious to see if the top of the V1 can fit on the body of the V2...
  10. I can direct lung inhale but I miss the extra upper airflow control that the Triton version 1 had.
  11. Yes, I can lung inhale with the 1.8 ohm coil. Is that what you're talking about or the extra long drip tip?
  12. Do you have any horizontal coils other than Claptons you could try?
  13. Personally, I prefer the 1.8 ohm coils for the Triton. I have mine set at 9.7W and get tons of vapor and flavor. Since I prefer a cooler vape, I also use an extra long drip tip to cool the vapor even more.
  14. Our town had the very last A&W in the US that still made the rootbeer from scratch until it closed down last year. So sad. That homemade rootbeer was amazing! Now I want one and can't get it.
  15. I've got the popcorn! And just how do you know that feminine products have nothing to do with vaping? Some of it could. There is a possibility. Did you do research on this? Where's the proof! I wanna see the research and the funding source that paid for the research and... and... You do know that I'm just kidding, right?
  16. Well... compared to those number, I guess I'm a rank amateur. Now I feel so much better. Thanks, Earthling. *runs off to order more Triton coils*
  17. Two more Aspire Triton 2 and four more 5-packs of 1.8 ohm coils came in the vape mail today from Mt. Baker Vaper. This makes a total of seven Triton 2 tanks (four in rotation and the rest are back ups just in case). Got a 10 ml of free juice from Mt. Baker Vaper called Vanishing Oatmeal Treats that smells... intriguing... and yummy. I'm curious if the juice tastes as good as it smells (it smells like a fresh baked oatmeal cookie with hints of cinnamon). So far I've not liked any of the juices from this vendor even though I've really wanted to -- this might be the one to change my mind. And I think I've taken to getting back ups a little too much to heart. I don't need to buy anymore coils for the Triton for quite some time. The four 5-packs I got today? Didn't realize that I had eight stashed in a drawer. This brings the total to twelve 5-packs. We have now officially ventured into the "hoarder" zone.
  18. Better to ask questions and be sure than to just guess and be sorry. You're using it in wattage mode so I would start low. Vape. If it's not what you want, turn it up a little. Vape. Repeat until you get a slight burnt taste or harsh vape. Turn it down just a bit. That will be the sweet spot for that tank, that coil, and that juice. Each flavor of juice will have a different heat setting. Just start low and work your way up (don't depend on what "specs" tell you, they're just a general guideline but not absolute). And I stand corrected. The two more Triton 2s that I had on order showed up in today's vape mail.
  19. It should be just fine. You can use quite a few different tanks on the Subox mini. I love the Aspire Triton 2 tanks (I rotate four, have another as a back up and two more on order).
  20. Personally, I could never watch this guy, I found him to be very annoying with his antics. Just my opinion. For ease of viewing...
  21. If you're wanting to just rewick the one you already have, carefully remove the wick/cotton and then pulse the mod to heat the coil. That will burn off the gunk that's on it. Once the coil cools a bit, rewick and reprime.
  22. When you get into building your own coils, the first thing on your shopping list should be a dedicated ohm meter. The meters on the mods are not as accurate as a separate one (although some come much closer now than the mods from the past).
  23. What's the resistance of the coils you're using? And you're using these in wattage mode and not TC?
  24. And more new ones coming out every day or so it seems. It's hard to keep up with them anymore.
